The minuscule six legged creature scurried across the tile, running for its life. Just as it came upon the grout line that could mean freedom, a Large rubber wall fell from the heaven. Desperate, the creature spun its body one-hundred and eighty degrees, and took off in the new direction. Once again, with the grout line only moments away, a wall fell from the sky. Spinning a quarter of the way around this time, the animal ran in a parallel line with the rubber barrier, this time to be stopped short by a brand new barricade made of the same material as the other. This time however, the gods in control had messed up, after what felt like an eternity of this torture, there was a gap between the semi-elastic material. Using a burst of adrenaline, the creature escaped.

"Oh drat", the young white haired man commented lazily as the ant escaped its prison effectively ending the game. "Well, I suppose you just lost your purpose little guy" Zelvin emphasized the loss by taking his left thumb and squashing the insect flat. After analyzing the bug guts momentarily, he rubbed them off on the chair next to him, hoping that someone would sit in the small mess. "Damn, now what will I do for the rest of the meeting." He muttered under his breath. Gazing around the room he became startled as he heard one of the vice-chancellors stated something about the decks they would use. Turning to the boy on his right he whispered "Wait, What did he say about our personal card decks?" the boy was about to reply but was cut off, or rather scared off by the chancellors booming voice. "...As I was saying you will all be given a new deck, everyone will start on equal ground with a basic starter deck that you will have to use our new system of Duel Points to improve upon. You will earn Duel Points through completing lessons and dueling in the training facility. These points can be exchanged in the card shop for booster packs and new decks. Your duel Points will be recorded in..." Zelvins mind floated off. so they want to make this a little more fair huh? Well I supose that allowing me to use my personal decks would be cruel as i come from such a wealthy family, but to these low class members deserve to match me in power, of course not! As his thoughts came to this pig headed conclusion, he heard "Have a great day students." Finally, I thought we would be stuck there for ages Zelvin thought as he rose from his seat and let out a large yawn, stretching his arms into the classmates around him without a care. He began his slow trot out of the room, but just before he made it to the hallway he turned about to face the teachers at the other end of the assembly hall. In a carefree tone he shouted out "Hey, Teach, Where do we pick up these Dork decks from anyways?"

Somewhere that I belong

"We're getting new decks?" Brian said in shock. He'd hardly used anything other than his lightsworn deck! "Great, I'm dead," Brian said to himself, wondering what kinds of decks would be given out anyways. Probably nothing special, but Brian hoped that he got a Light based deck since he was more familiar with that attribute.

Or will I always live this way... ?

Always stray

Toru looked up from his cards as he was sure that he had all of them in his deck. After returning to his seat he looked up at the Chancellor that was speaking to the crowd. She was so nice to help him out with his deck. He never really had anyone help him with his stuff before. He mostly had to do everything by himself. But he knew that if he had his deck he might be able to pass some of his classes. Although his journey with his deck was soon to end. Toru's eyes snapped wide open as he heard that they were getting new decks to use during their stay here at the Academy. He felt his jaw drop and he tried to speak. He couldnt believe it! He spent so long trying to make his deck perfect and now he might have to learn a completely new battling style. Granted that he wasnt the best duelist but he had done so much with his deck! What ever it takes he hoped that his deck was a dark and light based deck since most of his cards followed that attribute.

Toru sat down trying to calm himself. So he tried to think of the others around him. So he took a quick glance around the room. The only person in the room that was showing signs of the shock was a Ra ranked dueler. It was so bad he dropped all of his cards. Toru felt bad for him but also felt better about himself. He was in shock but then he wasnt that bad. After seeing the boy drop his cards a new dueler walked into the room. It was a girl wearing a Blue jacket. He shook seeing that she walked in with such power in her steps. He aura blazed around her differently than the rest. She seemed dangerous and didnt want to be messed with. She was definitely a strong dueler. That was one person he was going to leave alone. So Toru looked down at the ground and started to kick his feet about. This year was going to be an interesting one especially since he has to learn how to duel with a whole new deck. But something was different he couldnt stop thinking about that girl that walked in. There was something different. He didnt love her or anything, but her aura just was different. Then he saw it. A Chaos Command Magician walking around her and talking to her. She could speak with the duel spirits. This made him so happy. There were others like him that could see the spirits but on top of that in all irony she also had a favor for the Spellcaster typed decks.

Feeling nervous Toru decided he would go talk to her. Slowly he got up from his seat and shakily began his walk over to her. He put his head down to the ground as he walked over to her and put his hands in his pockets. He put his hands in his pockets to grab hold of his deck cause that was his only way of calming himself when he was interacting with other people. When he reached her he turned and looked at her in the eyes. Then he gave her a kind smile. Bringing his hand up he gave her a wave before he would speak. "Hiya!" He said he a little laugh. "My name is Toru Arashi! Im 11! And Im from Obelisk too!" Opening his eyes he turned to the Chaos Command Magician and gave him a wave as well. "It is nice to see that others could see duel spirits too, ya know?" He smiled at her again. "I can too, but I have been linked to a card as of yet....." He looked down and pulled out his deck from his Obelisk blue jacket pocket. "I guess i am not old enough" He sat there and studied his cards. Then he looked up at the girl. "I am also glad to see that there is another Spellcaster duelist" As he was saying this he produced his own Deck and showed it to her. Putting his cards back safely where they belonged so that he would drop them again. He gave her a meek smile before looking at her again.

Dice Sphere- Battle Teacher

Dice had a good laugh when he saw the expression on the children faces when they heard the announcement. "And here I though these people didn't have a sense of humor." After the Chancellor had finished up by introducing the teachers and such, Dice got up from his seat and begin to head towards the door. He stop half ways just as he looked out the window to see two duelist finishing up a duel. A girl with the blue jacket and a guy with a yellow jacket. The girl had destroy the guy in the duel and walked away till another obelisk student ran up to her. "so their are people with a shred of hope after all. Interesting" He reach his hand into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small notebook and begin to scribble some stuff down as he continued on his ways. Once he had left the building, he looked up from his book and begin to look around. "Now where was my room again?"

"Even though both of us have a short life, I expect mine to be longer then yours."
