S a l l y S h e e p x___Doctor Ruri S a l l y S h e e p Colette grabbed her tent and held it against her waist for support, preparing to move out when everyone else was ready. Curious, and a little bored, she asked, "So, what did everyone grab?" Sure, it was sort of obvious in most cases; but it would make some conversation.
"I GRABBED THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIIIIIIIIIIP!" an ominously CHEERFUL voice announced happily from behind the group, bounding forward with unnatural vigor towards the reaper. HP: 3 Colette was about to frown at the acursed jingling bell Barth brought out, when a odd voice took her attention away and turned her face into one of utter unhappiness and disbelief.
"Wh- What the hell?" The ghoul reached for her swords as it came at her and aimed a swing at the tree. This is clearly one of the sick things Hellma had warned them about.
Colette's HP: 25 - 0 = 25 HP Tree.. thing's HP: 3 - 4 = 0 HP
(( I think I did this right. OTL )) As it leaped towards Collette in an effort to give a grotesquely sharp high-five with one of its branches, her swords came crashing down on the branch and trunk, completely anhillating it. As the mighty tree fell, twitching and leaking tree sap onto the ground, it managed to smile and reach its hand out feebly before dying. "Friendshiiiiiiiiiiiiip............" it managed, before it's still attached branches fell limply in death. But hey! When it fell, something fell out of its branches, rolling up to the reaper's feet and bumping them. SCORE. = 3= HP: 0LOOT:

Mandy really didn't know what to say about the tree and Swords quick and brutal dispatching of it... Only that it was good that she was on their side and that she hadn't attacked the Dasher with the rest of them. The reindeer would have stood no chance.
Finally her voice returned to her and she managed to get out, "Well... That was odd."
Though she had to question Colettes reaction, the thing had reminded her of an overeager puppy - not something trying to kill them. Besides it had been going on about friendship...
Then again they had been warned about trickery.... Damn this was hard.

Luckily, the nap retreated on its own in light of the fact that the arduous (arborous?) battle had ended in a single swing.
He made a permanent note not to try to attack-hug Colette.
Not that this was usually a problem with him, but if it ever became one, he knew not to.
"Was it...trying to give you that?" he asked. The sidelines were a relative position, he hadn't had time to get further than a few feet.

"Wow, Colette, GREAT job! This Joy, whatever it is, doesn't stand a chance with you around!"
Rain was really impressed. The reaper had taken the tree down in a single blow. She was a claws kind of ghoul herself but she was considering taking up some kind of sword practice when she got back to school after watching that display. Of course, weren't swords heavy? Rain was lacking in the strength department but she was really fast. "We should probably keep moving," she commented, noting that they haven't traveled very far. "I wish I had my roster, I can't really confirm who is still missing or might have been taken to the infirmary. Do you guys notice anyone missing?

Hedera-Rose had finally caught up with the group, moving with an unnatural smoothness out of the way of the falling tree. "Seriously? Aren't you going to give it a decent death?" she asked Colette irritatedly, unfortunately affected by her reluctancy to hurt most plants-she was one herself, really! If anything hugged her, however, it was going DOWN.
Left hand's long fingers firmly grasping the handle of her EXTREME SNOWBALL LAUNCHER 5000, or whatever it was called, the demon made a quick motion with her free hand and tightened her jacket. She liked being tall, and the confidence that came with it: not her fault if her true form had the added boost of vines for height!

Harperking "Swim back?" Igneous felt faint at the thought. "I don't think that would work well for me, either! The last time I tried to swim I didn't do too well" In actuality she had sunk like the stone she was made from - it had been quite the effort to get her unstuck from the mud at the bottom of the pond! "Perhaps they will find some safer way of travel on wheels? Or maybe get the amulets working again?" She peered up at the leviathan in some amazement. She never imagined her classmates could have been so... BIG! "Hey there! You lost?" A friendly tree has appeared behind you! It wishes to hug you in painfully happy ways! HP: 3Total damage to Igneous: 0

Just what the hell had happened? A tree? A tree attacked? Just what the heck was with this place? Whatever it was, all this joy and friendship was already staring to tick her off. And they hadn't even really gone anywhere yet. Mei watched in awe as Colette swiftly cut the tree down to size in a single swing, killing the creature almost instantly. "....Well okay then." She snorted, shifting her attention from the fallen tree to the group, only to see Igneous under attack. "Oi! Behind you pigeon perch!" That probably wasn't the best choice of names to give, but it was the first thing that came to mind. Oops.

Colette's chest was heaving and white poured out as she breathed. That was so fast, so sudden, and the prior conversation lifted from her mind. She was shaking, from either adrenaline or the cold. She couldn't really tell, and she murmured a 'good job' to her two lovelies as she stuffed them back into her jacket.
Barth's question had turned her attention to the object that hit her boot, and she bent over to pick it up. A gift? Oh... Jack! She hoped she didn't just kill something that wasn't even a threat. A hint of sadness was in her voice when she replied, "Well.. I hope not."
It was conflicting for her, it said nice things but it definitely didn't feel good. It was as if it tried to hurt her, but then again it certainly didn't damage her at all.. Though Hellma did say they would try to deceive us.
Her attention shifted as she was congratulated. She certainly wasn't the center of attention often, and Colette put on a smile, "Well, thanks you guys. " The gift would have to just take its place in her bag with the rest of the things she collect thus far as she thought it over.
Colette was about to apologize and try to comfort Hedera when another tree came out of nowhere. This time it was after someone else, and it had actually hurt them! Any doubts she had about her tree certainly washed away. She pointed and tried to warn anyone that didn't already notice, "There's another!"

In response to the missing students Alessa said, "Well, there were still a lot of people mingling around by the wreckage, some of them might still be there." She had bolted out of the area as quickly as possible, for more than one reason. Though apparently...being back there probably wasn't as strange as what they were headed for. When first one odd tree appeared, then another, Alessa could only stare with a mixed expression of disbelief and confusion. "Um..."
Before she could even formulate an opinion she felt her stomach lurch and all of a sudden she had shifted involuntarily into a rabbit. It didn't stop there, though, as her uncontrolled shifting made her grow a bit bigger and dawn shaper teeth. Her Christmas Wreath had fallen conveniently around her neck. She took a few hops to catch up to the nearest student, peeking over to watch Igneous. "You can do it! It's just...um..." she stopped, because she didn't really know what it was. "...a talking, hugging, creepily happy tree?"

All current events were quickly discarded from the dolls mind as soon as she saw Alessa shift back into her natural form. "Ra..bbit.." The ghouls eyes widened slightly, as she moved closer to her. Without being able to keep herself from acting, Mei-Xiu quickly reached for her, catching her by the ears. "So cute! Bunny!" She said, as if a small child had just found a new toy.

"This is all too much! What happened to gnarled weeping willows and charred trunks?!" Alwine slowly backed up, taking Tsetsiliya's sash gratefully.
"Sorry to be a bother, but thanks, I don't want any pine needle scratches or... anything. I feel like they might be infectious... I'm sorry to say..."

Merope reached out with a large talon to try and hook at one of the lights encircling Julian to try and free him, pulling back when the boy changed back into a bird in addition to falling onto another student. He put his talon back down, not wanting to risk injury to another student. "Well," he said cheerfully, "At least you don't have to walk anymore! Though you'll need to find a way to carry those lights..."
He looked up as there was... something in the air. Thankfully Colette took care of it, but before he could slither-wiggle forward to poke the tree another appeared behind Igneous! He stared as the third one emerged and staggerd towards Mei-Xiu, just as... wait, what was that?
Merope stared at Alessa, jerking back in surprise. "Whoah! You sound fam-- heeey! You really are fuzzy-fluffy! Neat!"

What the-? What was going on? An over-friendly forest, if what she was seeing was correct. Simone shook her head, a hand absently moving up to feel around for any tender spots on her head. This could be some sort of crashing train trauma induced delirium. The trees were genuinely attacking people. Narrowing her eyes at all the prickly, sharp branches, Simone decided it would be best to quickly braid her hair in order to hopefully avoid getting snagged. She made impromptu use of one of her rubber bracelets as a hair tie.
Once that was taken care of, the demon glanced between the combatants. "You can do it! Fight 'em off!"
