Mau wouldn't have been surprised if when he asked Nyx if she was ok, she simpy would accuse him of trying to kill her again. It didn't stop him from asking, and seeing if she still wanted to do anything. They took a couple slower rides. A ponyta-go-round where they tried to grab a copper ring. They both missed the ring. After hitting up the teacups, and a few less then noteworthy rides, they returned to the games. Psyduck shooting game drew their attention. With Nyx hitting 3, and Mau hitting 5 targets, Nyx was given a Minum, and Mau a Plusle doll with magnetic noses- the carny thinking they were some sort of dating couple or something.

All the while, the stars -which were already hardly visible from the lights of the carnival- had vanished under dark storm clouds. Though Nyx and Mau had just entered the ferris wheel, the mettle and glass pod sealed, when the large raindrops began to pelt the carnival.

Though as the pair rose above the lights of the attractions on the large circular ride, it was not unlike looking down at a sea of stars as the view of the carnival spread before them.

Mau leaned back against the seat of the ride, looking out as rain slid off the glass, refracting the light into closer, smaller stars. The plusle was resting on his lap, and the magnemite between him and Nyx.

"Did you have fun?"

Mau smiled softly, thinking about it what she said for a moment. He slowly stood up and unzipped his coat before turning to Nyx and offering it to her. "It's at least got a hood. It should protect you from the rain till we get to the car." He wasn't exactly sure why he was being this nice. She could catch a cold and be out of his damn hair in the labs for a week! But... Ah, she went and dressed up. She looked more or less normal. Yeah. He didn't want her to get her nice outfit wet and ruined.

It was almost funny how the coat sort of... swallowed Nyx. But it wasn't cute. No, not at all. Well, maybe a little. As the ferris wheel was descending, Mau watched her stare at the plushie as if it were telling her the great secrets of the universe. He reached out and gently pulled the hood up over her head, being careful not to mess up her hair. When she looked up, either in surprise, or to yell at him- Mau didn't give her a chance as the Plusle was in her face and gently bumped her nose. "Chuu." He said as the pushie 'kissed' her before turning around and he looked out of the glass once more as they approached the ground.

Because it was still raining, the best bet would be to make a run for the car, right? Making sure that all their items were accounted for, Mau had the giant magnemite under one arm as their pod touched down and the door opened to let them out. "I suppose we should hurry to the car." He said before stepping out into the rain. The drops were quite large, and it wouldn't be too long before he was drenched. When Nyx stepped out, she seemed to agree as she began running towards the exit.

Mau was running a few steps behind Nyx. she was pretty easy to keep track of with so few people and the tent of a coat she wore now. But when she tripped, Mau stopped shore and stared at her a moment before running up beside her. He was about to ask if she was hurt- aside from her pride, when she moved to sit up and gave what Mau classified as a yelp of startled pain. "Nyx..." He half sighed before kneeling down beside her, the magnemite tucked carefully to him so it wouldn't get dirty. He looked her over a moment. She was kind of dirty now. With a shake of his head he maneuvered so his back was to her. "Climb on." He offered a piggyback ride to her. He wasn't sure if she was hurt or anything, but if she was... Why did Mau care? He didn't!

Well... maybe a little. He couldn't leave a fallen teammate.

"Would you hold the Magnemite?" He asked moving it to where she could take a hold of it and still hold on for dear life if she needed. He'd use his free hands to wrap under her and hold her up like a seat. In some respects, it was very childlike treatment. But what more could they do?

At least it wasn't too hard to find their car. The parkinglot was nearly empty. The remaining cars were junkers, or had obnoxious paint jobs with flames and useless junk. Mau was very careful with her even managing to fish the keys out of his pocket without jarring Nyx and unlocking the car.

When Nyx was safely in the car, injured foot, plushies and all, Mau closed the door before running around to the other side of the car to climb in. Of course starting the car, the air through the heaters was cold for about a minute before it began warming up. Mau looked at Nyx, still with a hint of concern on his face. "Your leg, what exactly happened?" He was glad to sit here for a moment longer as the car warmed up.
