I found out about them when I read Footfall by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle back in highschool. There's all sorts of crazy s**t that can be done with celestial objects. Hmmmm
Its probably feasible to create an artificial ice age if you get the right sized object the right distance between the main star of the system and the planet and then syncing the orbits. Though admittedly that's probably a hell of a lot more trouble than its worth and given the nature of such an event damn easy to fix.

David Tracer Yeahh....the Tri-Alliance doesn't like to waste resources. They're not going to attack Cort's super doom palace unless they know they have a good chance of winning. @Liako: What's the SGGG? Oh, Its just a Mecha combined from three battleships =3.

Completely Uncensored That wouldn't work against the Enites. Surface explosions don't do s**t to a race that lives underground. XD As for the DHE, I imagine they have deep underground bunkers and complexes as well. OMG, I loved that game when I was younger. heart

Here's the next event outline. Tis a work in progress.
Flavor Text: Dr. Anton Shimeera, a geneticist wanted in several systems, now works for the DHE. Having acquired dragon and wyvern DNA from the DHE's control of Necropolis, Dr. Shimeera's creations are frighteningly real. It's imperative to stop Dr. Shimeera before his dragon-hybrids become the standard soldiers of the DHE.
Dr. Shimeera has taken control of a small jungle planet and goes wild with his experiments. What keeps them from simply blowing up the planet? Simple, there are people who are being experimented on!
Event mechanics
Dragon-Hybrid Soldier - Health: 1000 (consider this to be a small army of them) - Acid Spit: Regardless of what the Dragon-Hybrid's roll, the enemies receive 10 damage on an odd number and 20 on an even number - Ultimate Attack: Dragon fire reduces all enemies health by half (dice numbers 16, 25, 27, 32, 36, 49, 64, 72, 81, 100, 108, 121, 125, 12 cool
Dr. Shimeera - Health: 500 - Feral Claw (standard 1 100-sided dice attack) - Chimera Transformation: When Dr. Shimeera's health depletes to 250 or below, he will transform. (roll 2 100-sided dice for 3 turns straight. After that, revert back to normal boss attack pattern) - Poison Scales: Regardless of their dice number, those attacking Dr. Shimeera will lose 15 health
Victory: Dr. Shimeera is defeated Defeat: Two Tri-Alliance Commanders are defeated
Also, defeat will result in dragon-hybrid troops being added to the DHE's ranks.

So overall its going to be a much smaller operation than the previous event battle? Hmmmm what excuse can I give to have Alex pop up here by accident as well...
Already did teleporter accident. I suppose I could have him testing his hyperspace capable space suit again... but I already did that.
Maybe the GRE might just ask if he would mind helping out this time around. The first two times might have been by accident but he still ended up fighting the DHE.

It probably would be a smaller operation.
Remus might personally request for Alex's assistance after aiding the Tri-Alliance twice, and successfully!

Alex is just awesome like that. =P
Shame he doesn't make more doomsday machines. He's mostly personal weaponry and the occasional giant robot.

I think so. Brian's involvement has gained the attention of Rome.
That looks like a cool scenario so far, Rusty. I just need to figure out what army to send.

Then drop me a PM addressed to Alex or something...
Or if I manage to get that thread in the dome guild up you can stop by there to contact him. But that's unlikely. *needs to get on that* <_<
And no. He's already made his giant robot and he's content with the way it is at the moment.

For starters, this operation would truly benefit the Kendari since it is a jungle planet. They'd be able to adapt to the terrain quickly.
Also, I'm experimenting with more effects in this event. After a special roll is acquired, 1of the 3 following effects will be available for 3 turns.
Special Attack: Roll 2 100-sided dice for 3 turns
Shield: For 3 turns, halve the damage received from an enemy
Special Three: Pending
I was also thinking there should be some class specific effects (tech, magic, ect). That needs some more working.:

Huh...
Well if Alex goes up against technological foes or dudes in technology that he can basically hack them for his special three could be like for three turns the enemy forces do half their roll in damage to themselves. Edit: Or in this case if there are automated defenses Alex could potentially take control of them.
Hrothbert and Emma with their mind control could probably have the same special. In fact you could probably just have people willing to participate in this to make their own character specific specials as long as they've been talked about here to ensure that they are relatively balanced.
Otherwise I dunno...

I do like using the kendari....
If I used the Provocatores though, I think they would have some sort of toughness perk, being superhuman and all. I was thinking something like damage they receive is only half or they would take less damage than what most others normally would.

Kendari would also retain their ambush ability. So more awesomeness to them.Provocatores I'm not sure about. Perhaps losing 15 to whatever damage they would have received. So if the Dragon-Hybrids roll a 10 or something like that, no damage at all. If they score say a 50, it becomes only 35 damage to the Provocatores.

Hmmmm if I give Alex reduced HP to start with could I give him a regen perk to reflect his nanites?
Like say 400 Hp to start with and 20 hp regained per turn. Or failing having it the entire time have the HP regain activate on a special roll for like 150-210 hp regained over three turns.
It would be kinda neat to have perks for individual domers.
