Denrei grit her teeth. SHE was going to give that information in a moment...
"That's fine. Kirabachi-kun... thank you for your speculation. The Udai confirm that intel."
She settled herself and closed her eyes. She looked to be at peace behind her thin-framed glasses until she opened them.
"Now... will the Sand Village please speak on their behalf."

The Kazekage had been listening intently to the other kages, it seemed that he wasn't going to be the only one giving a rather small report, it made it easier he guessed. Then again, he was sure no one wanted to hear from a man who was only in power for less than a month, the man from rain sort of made their batting average near negative. "Thank you Denrei..." The man gave a small pause, trying to decide what was most important, he couldn't make mentions of his own rise to power without sounding cocky, and he couldn't mention the former Kage without sounding hateful. "Nothing of importance has happened in sand, save for the occasional AWOL genin from other villages coming to play on our jungle gyms nothing out of the ordinary has happened. The village is doing as good as it's always done economically, but that is due to the hard work of our villagers, and our shinobi are slowly declining in quality, but I hope to have a hand in changing that myself. That is all." In that moment he moved his right limp arm over his left, a force of habit he hoped no one would call him out on.

"Now... it has come to the attention of the Udai council that there is a need for the election of a Head Ninja- here. Today."
She paused to collect herself. He would never forgive her if she broke down now...
"The One Tailed Host, Ichite-Ru Shujouteki, reported that two ninja from the Sound Village have murdered the Immortal named Lu..."
The room was silent as she continued,
"Shuniji Fuku and Seika Cheshiru, chunin from Otogakure, are wanted for his murder. If the Otokage ordered this- he is also a criminal. It is an act that breeches the regulations imposed by the Udai council. For that reason, we are gathered here. As acting Head of the Udai Council I DEMAND that the representative from Otogakure explain these actions! Then we will open the floor to nominations for the election of a new Head Ninja!"
This b***h was channeling Tsunade as she rammed her palms into the table- making it shake as she leaned in across the center of the table. Her eyes where fierce and her spirit matched...

Masato took a small breath before answering after the Sound representative, "I was under the impression we were to follow the treaty made by the Udai Counsel, if we are then why is the Sound Village still in it? Either way I agree with Kirabachi, Denrei seems to have been doing a good job over the past two years, but if we are still listening to Sound I suppose I would recommend my assistant FOUR, he's used to a desk job." Masato would rather not send his old teammate for the Udai, however if it would get them out of this room faster then he would be happy to take the loss.

"It appears the village in the sound's vote cancels out the nomination of Denrei-San; It's a shame, I too would have voted for the girl if it wasn't for the sound representatives vote" The kage said before looking over at the other Kage's. "I would like to nominate my son here" He said waving his hand slightly at the Jounin behind him. "He has been kept up to date on all the Fall's matters in the Alliance; and has no bias against the other villages" He said calmly. "With little activity in the Fall village at the moment his skills are put to better use elsewhere" Hakubo said before looking the other Kage's over waiting for there replies. He had seen he Kazekage try to keep his arm movements hidden but decided to not bring it up; after all it had nothing to do with the meeting they where in.

"I nominate Keno. He's by brother's son so you know he's from good stock. Not a bad kid too. Likes ninjas and stuff. That- and I'm paying for your vote."
The Amekage just smiled a coy smile as he said this. He obviously suggested this to try to put a lap dog in place.

"As much as I would enjoy disregarding his votes, at the moment these are just unfounded accusations. We need to investigate the matter unfortunately..."
The acting Head Ninja just shook her head,
"The accusations where made by a ninja without orders from his Kage... and as I understand it he was in exile until he can control his demon."

"I'm going to have to object Keno, if we cannot accept former teammates or relatives of kages then nephews are out of the question. If we are going for neutral then I would like to recommend Kishi Moto, hell, if it means that we can get out of here with a fair person taking over as Head Ninja I would recommend the former Kazekage Tanto, he has recently been removed from Sand and may not be happy about it." The current Kazekage figuratively waggled two easily bribe-able people, however they both still had small connections to sand, he truly was scraping the bottom of the barrel.
"We will be sitting here all day if we cannot reach an agreement, and Sand will gladly sit here, myself or my current assistant until we reach said decision, in my mind the best choice is the only one here that has experience with the position; Denrei. Why can't we just let her continue the work she has taken over the last two years?"

With a heavy sign Kirabachi closed his eyes to think of Jonin in the Leaf that might be helpful,
"I would suggest the Immortal once known as Lu... however he seems to have died."
An uncharacteristic shot at sound masked behind a stern, disheveled appearance.
"Leaf agrees with Kishi... however I do not believe he will accept our nomination. Beyond him, I can think only of one ninja. There is a Jonin in our village- Buchi of Kurofu. He is only affiliated with Leaf politically. He represents the nomadic Kurofu people. He understand neutrality. He has done well as a jonin and even intervened when the One Tailed Host lost control during the first exams... I nominate him."
God... what he wouldn't do for a cigarette...
