She watched the warmth from his eyes vanish... that warm lkook he gave her when he was happy, when he seemed at peace. Now... they were cold...calculating. Eyes that should seem all too familiar to her, and yet they did not register as they should in her memory. Just as she thought his gaze couldnt get worse.. it turned sort of...scary. Sinister...and very over protective. It actually made her take a step back and let go of his shoulder. "C'mon Zac... you know i can take care of myself." She smiled halfheartedly... if only he knew how much she couldn't. If only he knew how much he was also HER rock. Her one tie to keeping her human and senshi lives separated.
A magical war she was involved in... that he knew nothing about.
"I would do anything to protect you as well."

He gave a small laugh, the warmth starting to trickle back into his eyes. It was like putting on a mask, pretend your normal, pretend that when you say protect you don't really mean that you would rip the breaks out of the car of anyone who hurt your remaining family.
Maybe that was why he was starting to find using the crystal so damned ...addictive. It gave him the power to be anyone but himself.
"Sorry..." He said and then pushed the grin wider, making it go to his eyes. "...so... we should, catch a movie or something, serious face doesn't suit you."

"...Only as long as its not one of those horribly gory movies." She replied back to his statement, wanting to see a movie as well. She really needed a break from this whole senshi thing.. be NORMAL for a night.
Beth was so glad his eyes warmed up too, that stare he gave was just too cold for his face... too not him. (if only she knew) Though.. while his face was one she was used to, that glint in his eyes kept replaying in her mind.
kept going back over his features... like it was always there.
Im crazy. She thought, shading her head. "You know i like my lunch.... unless i cook it." She laughed in good humor.

"Mmm...maybe not that new one about exorsism's then." He smirked at her. "Though I haven't seen that new Saw movie yet...OR the new Paranormal Activity...are you SURE you don't want to have a horror-thon?"
His eyes glittered in challenge. "Tell you what... you sit through MY horror-fest...and I'll watch "Enchanted" with you...and two other 'girly flicks' of your choosing.

".. You might have me bury my face into you if its the newest saw. I heard it was jsut constant gore being flung around and no real plot anyways.." She hated movies with over abundances of gore. They made her want to get sick sometimes.
"... Maybe two movies?" She grinned hopeful to get out of watching Saw. The other two she could live with.

"Two movie swap then, no saw and in turn 'Enchanted' is the most slapstick it gets...." He folded his arms refusing to compromise further, he LOATHED slapstick with a passion.

"I didnt think enchanted was THAT bad of a slapstick!" She mused back, eyebrows furrowed together in thought. "..Ive seen worse anyways."
"Also, be prepared to have me hiding behind you anyways." She stuck her tonuge out at him, grinning a little.
A pause.
Now... she wanted to bring up another subject. "Zac... do you sometimes feel like your on the wrong side of something... but am not certain if you want to switch sides? Too used to one side.. liking the idea of one side more..."

"It was -still-...slapstick, honestly even the previews are over the top" He scowled and then looked, shocked, he even blanched for a moment. Red hair that faded to orange, bright green eyes... and that question. For just a moment he could have believed Sailor Lyra had taken the place of his cou...his sister.
"W...what do you mean?" he asked carefully, even tripping over the words which was so unlike him.

"The previews made me laugh a bit." She grinned. "hated the prince.. he was the major 'slap stick' part of the movie." A pause.
"...So when he was run over by the bikes, i laughed at -that-."
She managed to slip that in just a moment before turning away. She.... Should beth tell him? He was her c-...brother. Brother... must remember to use that term.
She trusted him, she really did. He was her only family... shouldn't it be all right to tell him? For all she knew, he could be senshi too... then again, chloe hasnt reacted to him so she guessed not. She forgot that chloe had not met Zac yet.
"Nono.. nevermind." She said warm smile replacing her face again. Even though it didn't meet her eyes. "Dont worry about it! just some... School troubles."

He frowned and shook his head. "Tell me... I'm curious, you know I'll be up all night wondering if you don't right? You are YOU, there isn't a mean bone in your BODY." He said with a small laugh. He tried to make it meet his eyes, he tried very hard but there was still ice down his back, ridiculous thought it had been they looked nothing alike..

"Nono, its ok Zac! ....Trust me ok?" She said as a shadow glanced over her eyes. Her eyes glassed over for a moment. He really wanted to know...
What caused her to stop what she was going to say next, was the 'mean bone in her body' comment. That was..untrue. She had seen hurtful things... DONE hurtful things. Killed...things. She couldnt face him now... let him know she was 'one of the terrorists' in the news.
It would only hurt him.
"Im sorry for bringing it up, its just something that i need to handle."

"... You know what I said about... keeping you safe, you know I meant that...right?" He said quietly, there was something else there, dark undercurrents like a rip tide in his voice but soft... velvety and sinful like a dark secret. "If it's someONE...." he said with particular emphasis... "I'll..." he didn't finish, but he had a Yoma who could dirty its 'hands' for him if someone was bothering her.

Oh HELL no.
She was NOT getting him involved in this war. Not now, not EVER. "I said dont worry about it." She snapped back, a little too snippy, a little more... Lyra uncontrollable side showing for a brief glimpse. Something thats been happening to her more... unstable.
Up until now, she kept it under wraps... only showing it in senshi form. Was it corrupting into her every day life now? Raising her hand to her mouth, eyes wide with shock she looked away.
"I...truly, i do appreciate the offer. You are a good brother Zac...i just dont want you hurt." OR involved. s**t she already had involved him.
"Imagine the world as a giant chess board." Siblings, think alike sometimes.. no? "Imagine the pieces...black and white. Normally separated on a black and white checkered bottom. Imagine that bottom as solid grey now. Now how do the pieces know where to move? They are all now on the same playing field..."
"And then the pieces also turn grey."
She stopped, not wanting to continue.
"...I duno what im talking about anymore." She was rambling off now.

"People always assume that black means evil, that's not true...some chess games are red and black...now who's good and who's evil..." He said with a small frown, how snippy she had gotten at his offer, didn't want him hurt? He'd already BEEN hurt, but that was before. Still...he couldn't just say that.
"...The idea of black and white...it's a convenient way to make people feel better, to let them think that morality is clean cut when it never HAS been and never will be, some 'moral' issues come down to things that are, or are not accepted in society. Like... liking... your same gender for dates."
Such a shitty analogy, but he had to use -something-. "Grey, shades of grey, not even uniform grey, and then you add little colors to it, black, green, gold...where do you start drawing lines when you add colors and in between tones..." he had to stop himself or he might draw dangerously close to making a statement about lives and their value.

"Black is not a evil color it is a mysterious color... if you want to be technical it could be seen as a unification color."
Gogo artistic knowledge.
"Because it is ALL colors. All balancing each other out... But it is so much easier to think of it as a simple yes or no. A right or wrong. left or right." Why wasn't life so easy? She had to admit though...this oddly felt like a regular thing for her. Conversations like this with him... naaahh.
"There is nothing wrong with liking the same gender." She added in randomly, but then again...Zac should know that beth was never one to go with the crowd anyways.
Walking next to him, it was now really aparent.... he was taller. It was a trait of their family apparently.... they bred midgets. Lowering her head she placed it on his shoulder and sighed. "Its just so much easier to think giving up would make things so much... better."
