With a smirk Klyde gave one last little wave to the clerk before he walked out the door with Riyo. Once outside it seemed the feline was a little more than upset with the encounter and the reason became clear soon enough. "Hey," He said softly giving her shoulder a little squeeze. "I see you." Pressing a short kiss to the side of her head he grinned. "You can't let these pampered princesses who can barely see passed their own reflection get to you. They don't matter."

As Riyo started to pet the kitten started to chirp, his little feet kneading at the air as she showered him with attention. This was like heaven at the moment, being carried around in a warm embrace. It couldn't be any better.

Klyde's eyes suddenly became serious, his smile slowly fading. What if....he were in her situation? He seemed to put a great deal of thought into it because his features were shifting a little toward angry. "They wouldn't have long to attempt it." His voice held a slight growl to it holding Riyo's shoulders a little tighter as if someone might suddenly appear and snatch her away.

The kitten, feeling the tension, let out a meek mew though it couldn't seem to bring itself to stop chirping. Curling up a bit it turned its bright green gaze up toward the two larger beings in its presence as if trying to make out the situation.

Klyde's eyes shifted toward Riyo as she spoke. "Don't be stupid. I don't know why it never occurred to me." He was rather full of himself wasn't he, to think no one else would notice. "You may not think much of yourself but let me assure you of something, if I felt that way I wouldn't be here....and look where I am. You've worked rather hard to hide that attractive side of yourself....but you failed because I noticed....so someone else is bound to have as well."

Shifting his gaze around he let out a sigh. "Now I'm going to be looking over my shoulder everywhere we go." How frustrating.

Looking up at Riyo the kitten gave a soft mew as if acknowledging her comfort. Giving a little stretch the kitten relaxed again its feet going back to kneading the air while it chirped. As it continued to melt back into her arms its eyes began to close as it got comfortable.

He just had a way with words didn't he? Maybe he should take a lesson or two from Desmond on thinking before one speaks....too bad his listening skills were just as great. "Listen," He sighed a little. "I'm sorry. Maybe I'm taking it a little too far, but I don't like the thought of someone trying to come in and take my place. I never thought about something like that happening in the past....because I never cared before...but that's changed." He cared now and it was only digging his grave a little deeper with each passing day. Soon it would come time to lie in it and he hoped to some extent he would be able to still see the light of day.

Looking down at then kitten as she mentioned he was probably his biggest competition Klyde shook his head. "I don't like hearing you belittle yourself. It may sound rather shallow of me but I don't waste my time on unattractive woman. You put up a pretty strong front but it can't hide that pretty face." Reaching up he tried to push her hair aside so that he could see that face a little better.

Klyde grinned. "The better question would be what's not pretty about it. Because that question I have no answer to." As far as what they should do Klyde's grin widened. "I have a few things in mind but I'm certain the kitten would be in the way." At least his face had lost that sudden intensity it had held but that thought still lingered in the back of his mind.

Klyde thought about it shortly despite the fact that it was a rhetorical question. "No, not often." He smiled rather deviously as he followed Riyo back to the dorm. "You should have named him Pipsqueak. That's fitting as well. You could have called him Pip for short."

Tim, as was his newly anointed name, gave a yawn. Stretching out as far as his little limbs would go he practically passed out, his chirpy purr fading as he fell to sleep. It was nice to be somewhere warm for once.

"Aww," Klyde pouted trying to look downtrodden. "I feel that is very cruel." When they reached the dorm he awaited Tobi's fated arrival. Taking the cat and his backpack now full of cat stuff he gave a short nod before moving off to the side just as Tobi emerged from the doggy door outfitted for him to easily go in and out.

Sniffing at the air Tobi's eyes settled on the place Klyde was hiding first off, his attention focused. Curious, the shiba started to descend the stairs to investigate, ears perked at the top of his head. He was like a magnet to an intruder.
