How Akira suddenly got on the service side of the bar she'd never know, but what the fox did understand quite well was this boy was now way out of line in his attempt to touch her. With a flick of her elegant tail, the spines of shadow that had just previously consumed shards of glass shot up from the floor to wrap around Akira's wrists, ankles, and shoulders. As quickly as they'd appeared, they pulled taught and brought the soon-to-be-teacher crashing to the floor. If he bruised his head, good, he might learn something. While this happened, Scytheress's face seemed rather cold, but once the tethers began to sneak back through the cracks in the floor, her coy smile returned. She looked down at Akira. "Ribs are done." Sure enough, a stout woman came out from the kitchen door holding a plate with a full rack of ribs, a side of mashed potatoes, and some corn. The woman passed it to the bar mistress but as she was turning to go back in the kitchen, she spotted Sakura. "You look like a mighty hungry little thing. I have some extra ribs that came out in that last batch. You want 'em?" The woman peered at the cat with intense green eyes giving off the feeling that she could see into people's souls. In reality, Meryl the cook, was just a crotchety old bat.
Scytheress also turned to Sakura now and gave her an encouraging nod. She'd heard that rumbling coming from the girl's stomach and she'd be damned if a patron went hungry in her establishment. She took the plate from Meryl and set it on the counter where Akira had been sitting and then offered a hand to the boy. "You'd do well to remember I'm a professional."
Adding to the cacophony of activity, Congi, the clumsy waitress, came out of the back room now holding her pad of paper and pencil. She scurried over to Santana and smiled. "Welcome to Aru's! What can I get you?" When she didn't get a response, she looked a bit closer at the woman and noticed the cords coming down from her ears. "Oh, she's listening to music." She waited a moment for the woman to notice her and perhaps remove the headphones from her ears. If she did, she'd repeat her offer of service.

Akira Rai of the Whitespell "Power..."
Akira leaned back as she grappled an illusion. Akira was a powerful Druid, he saw through her attack almost instantly. "I thank you for the food, M'Lady." Akira put the money down on the table, it instantly caught fire... But not a Normal Fire. It was a Hellfire mixed with his own concoction. It did not burn the table, but it would burn anything that tried to touch it, and would sit like that for 2 weeks. Akira's Meal floated up and disappeared as well as Akira.

Danny Yahya Danny wandered into the bar, he had a map of the island in his hands this time as opposed to the school map he had a few days earlier. As he was walking by the shops, he had seen a Maid Cafe, but for some reason he did not feel like it was a good idea to go in there, so he had come to the Tavern instead. He looked around the Tavern after had came in, curious on what a Tavern was, because even with his almost 900 years worth of traveling through earth's history, he's never been in one. He was definitely not going to tell the his real age here, so he won't be getting alcoholic drinks, he didn't like them all that much anyway. He would be sticking to his story of being 17 as usual.

Sakura nodded. She smiled. "Yes, please. I would like some ribs!" Sakura smiled.

Meryl was glad to hear that the young girl wanted some food. She looked like she could use it. The cook waddled back into the kitchen and returned with the plate of ribs. They weren't slathered in sauce like the others had been but rather it was on the side in a little dish in case the girl wanted some. The stout woman gave the girl a final nod before disappearing through the swinging door. Scytheress gave the girl a smile as well before looking over to Akira. She never much liked druids, considering what her own culture's had done to her, but she shrugged as she should have seen it coming though now it made no difference. It was when he left the flaming money on the counter and vanished that she almost burst out laughing. She barely stifled a chuckle, having to put a hand to her mouth to physically hold it in. So arrogant! A wave of shadows slithered up the bar and consumed the flames, dousing the heat and made off with it to the vault in back. Perhaps the Vice Principal couldn't disspell it, but Scytheress wasn't the Vice Principal and she could crush that man if she saw fit... There was more to the bar mistress than her application led on and demonic fire to her was a joke*. What she found most funny at the moment however was that the boy-teacher would be billed for the plate he just stole. Scytheress was generally a kind person, but scorn the woman in her home and you can consider yourself unwelcome.
As the druid left, a new man came in. At least this one looked reasonable, though he still had that youthful air about him. Scythe didn't mind a little flirting but it would do most patrons in good stead to remember she was a widow and nearly a thousand years old (despite her gorgeous looks). She waved at the man to come to the bar. "Have a seat, yeah?" After giving him a quick smile, she cleared off the spot Akira had been sitting at and then grabbed a new glass and filled it with water, passing it to Sakura in case she needed a drink to go with her new meal.
*Look to her profile in the coming day for most of her history (I have to convert formats to copy it to the web which may take some time, but apparently it needs to be out there.)

Danny Yahya "Ah, thank you, Miss." Danny said politely with gratitude and a light smile as he sat down in a seat a bit further from Sakura. He straightened his tie quickly before looking around again. The tavern was an interesting place was a thought that went through Danny's mind before looking at the Bar Mistress, "She is very beautiful." He thought as he looked at her. Though he was already pretty close to thousand years old himself, he really wasn't the type of person to flirt, he never was, nor was he the one to fall for someone's looks, so he basically had no reaction like a blush or anything to how the nice Bar Mistress looked. He turned his head away and looked around for a menu or something that he could check to see what they had.

Scytheress Scythe set aside another washed dish, an impressed look on her face. "A teacher at such a young age? Very nice. What would you teach if Len accepted your proposal?" Out of the corner of her eye, Scy was watching the waitress pace back and forth while trying to get a coherent answer out of a few drunken guests about where the broken glass had gone. The bar mistress nodded to Akira, asking for a moment to call to her worried staff. "Congi, I got it." The vixen smile that followed perhaps revealed more of her devilish nature than she should have, but what was the fun keeping such mischievous glee inside? Calming her features, the woman's eyes fell on Serafina and noticed her disdain. "Don't fret girlie. What do you have to be so upset about anyway that you'd need a drink?" A pot smashed through the swinging kitchen door but it didn't seem to phase the fox. She simply looked back to the man at her bar. "Ribs are almost done!" Serafina narrowed eyes as she was called such a foolish name. Not liking to be called anything but her name, she repressed the urge to scratch her nails on the bar. Instead, she just curled her hands up into tight fists trying to control her anger and irritation. But that question...she couldn't answer it. She barely even knew herself. Well, that was a lie. She was just trying to repress the memory. "I would appreciate it if you wouldn't call me such a name," she mumbled moodily.

Scytheress smiled to the man as he sat down. He looked much more professional than any student she'd seen around campus, but also too young to be a new teacher. When she noticed him looking around she assumed it was for some kind of list of food. Scy quickly interjected. "You name it, we can probably make it. I never much cared for a set menu, not enough flexibility and with such a wide array of patrons, I'd be excluding someone no matter what I did." She laughed softly. "So what will it be?"
The druid incident had made Scythe nearly forget about the ornery girl at the other end of the bar. She turned from the new-comer to her. "My apologies, miss. What should I call you then?" There was a slight sarcastic tone in her voice. After the catastrophy at the school, she was in short supply of patience and understanding. She didn't intend to be mean, but one of the casualties of the invasion had been the daughter of an old ally of her's and the school's failure to protect her had put a serious strain on their friendship. Scythe rubber her eyes. Today was not going well and she was forgetting her place. Gone were her war days. She took a deep breath and lowered her hand, leveling a calmer gaze at Serafina. "Sorry. If you tell me your name I'll call you by nothing else." She could only offer a small smile to the girl as her black-tipped ears laid back against her head. She kept her focus on the girl but she still listened for a food order from the man who'd recently come in.

Danny Yahya "If I really told you what I wanted to eat, you would never be able to make it, don't ask why, it's a simple fact. So instead I would like Chili-Cheese Fries." Danny said with a smile on his face, the meal he would have liked was something could only be made on his original world, but since it was gone, it wouldn't be possible to make as the ingredients only grew on that planet. He thought for a moment before saying, "And a sprite too please!" He added as he pulled out his Sonic Screwdriver from his inner jacket pocket as well as a what looked like a device that you put on your wrist and started tinkering with the device with his Sonic Screwdriver and it's very low volume high pitch bzzz sound.

[[Ack wait I'm not done! Ok now I am....*facepalm*]]
Scytheress turned her head toward Danny and jutted out her lower lip a bit. It wasn't often a dish came their way that lovely cookie couldn't make, but she would take him at his word. "Good choice." Still, her vixen curiosity usually got the better of her. She nodded to the man and then moved to poke her head into the kitchen to call out the order. She barely pulled back in time to dodge the ladle that came sailing at the door. It clanged harmlessly off the swinging portal but signified that they got the message. Unaffected by the display of violence from the back, Scythe retook her position at the bar near her new customer. "So what makes your desired meal so hard that it cannot be made?" She raised an eye brow as she stooped to grab a glass from beneath the bar, filling it with ice before grabbing the short hose that led to the sodas in back. Pressing one of the buttons, the bubbling clear liquid spewed into the glass. She set it before the man and then produced a straw from seemingly out of nowhere and set it beside the drink.
The gadget in Danny's hands made the bar mistress tilt her head to the side. It was curious that someone would do work in a tavern. Even if it was hobby work, this was supposed to be a place to relax. Scy's right ear twitched as it picked up the low humming coming from the strange tool being used and rather than criticize him for labor in her establishment, she leaned forward on the bar to get a closer look. "What's that?"
[[Now I really want chili cheese fries....darn it >_<]]

Danny Yahya "The ingredients and the recipe, and the fact that it takes 5 days to make." He answered as he continued working on the device. He looked up as his drink came in front of him. He put the straw into the drink and drank from it, after putting down the drink he noticed the Bar Mistress looking at what he was doing. "It's a Vortex Manipulator, but it's broken and I'm trying to fix it. It works in the sense that I can still use it for instant teleportation, but I am trying to fix a few circuits in it to let if be able to time travel again." He replied as he looked at her with a smile. He noticed that she looked strangely familiar, not familiar as in he seen her at the school, familiar as in that he's seen her a few times during his time traveling, he tried to remember when and who she was.
((Yeah I can make people have cravings like that, that's how awesome I am. biggrin ))

[[I ended up settling for Japanese food, lol.]]
Scytheress pressed her lips together. Time travel, hm? One of her employees had told her about when he met Time himself and played a game of cards with him. He'd also mentioned that he won the game much to Time's surprise who then went stomping off to go talk to Chance and Lady Luck. Scy wondered idly how Time would feel about time travelers or if he even cared at all. Teleportation was neat though. She had versions of that herself but nothing so instantaneous and she doubted she could achieve the range he could. She didn't really have anywhere to be anyway. Perhaps if she'd had it when the imp attacked the Nursery though... Scythe shook her head to clear the depressing thoughts and focused back on the gadget. "So that little thing could actually move you through time and space? Why isn't the time function working anymore?"

Danny Yahya "Yup, it's quite easy to make, but sometimes a pain to fix. And it the circuits blew when I used it the other day for the first time in a while, so I am fixing it up good as new. Time travel is quite simple to do, but can have massive ripples through a time line. So I doubt you could use it to save certain people that you really cared for, because it may have been a fixed point in time. AH! Now I remember you are! You are Miss Rem." Danny said finally remembering where he had seen her, she was the one who had been in so many wars a while back.
((Lol nice))

Scythe nodded as Danny spoke. She didn't think time travel would be so simple and it was as if he read her mind as to what she'd want to fix. She heard a wooden spoon ricochet off the kitchen door to let the her know the chili cheese fries were done and she turned to go get them. As she was spinning around, the man said a name she hadn't heard in years. It gave her pause. The last person to have called her Rem had been her late husband. She could still hear the echo of it now, centuries later, but it was painful still to recall. Scytheress turned back around, a slight smirk on her face to conceal the tumult of emotion welling inside her. She folded her arms over her chest and leaned her hips back against the low shelve on the wall. "How do you know that name?"
Hearing her true name brought back memories she'd spent years repressing. More than anything, the idea that someone would know her name meant they might know the loved ones she was missing. She knew she shouldn't, that this was probably just a coincidence as he was a time traveler after all, but she couldn't quite crush the hope that maybe he knew of her because he somehow knew her children or maybe her angelic brother Rio... Keeping one corner of her mouth tilted skyward, she chewed delicately on her lower lip awaiting the man's reply.
