Looking over at the shelf Haikimaru had deemed 'uninteresting', Maiara felt her eyes widen a bit as she recognized some of the books had her native language on the spine of the book. It was next to the one Haikimaru had been reaching for and she grabbed it, flipping through the pages of her native language; it was about the human Inuit people, but they were practically the same as her own people. The Inuit were the only humans who knew of their existence, and their two cultures were essentially the same, save the whole transformation aspect. If one of the children never bonded with an animal, he or she was sent to live with the human Inuit, so the blood lines were heavily mixed, and her people were very grateful to them, as they have kept their secret well from the rest of the human world. Now frowning, she felt hurt he had deemed this shelf uninteresting as Maiara put the book back into its place, careful to make it just right and not disturb the other books. Her conviction that the two were just too different felt even stronger. Now turning to face the new shelf with Haikimaru, she touched his arm gently, "I been look for you. I...I wish to speak of our relationship."

Haikimaru flinched as she really did look at the bookshelf. He hoped that his girlfriend did think he was not interested in her culture. He really did want to get to know her and make her happy. The young man turned to her when she said she wanted to talk about their relationship. He was going to listen to every word that she said and wanted to say.

Resisting the urge to look down at the ground, Maiara played with the fabric from her coat in her hands nervously. How she played with the fabric mimicked how her stomach felt at the moment. She felt Wayra encouraging her, and it helped her spit out her next words. "I think we not right for each other. As mates. We...very different." By this point, Maiara had looked away towards the books, her voice trying not to falter as she continued. "It also difficult for me that you have many mates. I think before I thought it not problem, but it hard to see purple fox with many men and women." Her voice was now barely above a whisper, but she knew he would hear her. She felt vulnerable, a feeling she hated, and as a security blanket, she felt herself tugging at her hood, pulling it over her head as she tried to hide her face from Haikimaru, obviously upset, but unwilling to show it openly.

Haikimaru watched his girlfriends moment. She seemed nervous about something. When she finally spoke up about what was going on his facial features tightened. She was breaking up with him. The Fox didn't like this not one bit. He knew that if she really broke up with him that he may go into a depression. He didn't want to feel the disappointment of not being good enough anymore. He grabbed a hold of her by the wrist. He wasn't going to let her go. He took his other hand and removed the hood. "Go ahead and leave me, but you and I both know that we both want to stay together and I'm more than willing to only have you in my heart." He told her. He was being honest to her and refused to lie.

She felt a slight gasp come from her as he grabbed her wrist and pulled away her hood, putting her out in the open. Her wrist probably felt weak because of the effects of the poison, Maiara didn't want him to feel that, but neither did she have the strength to pull it away from him. "But what about other lovers? Camrion? Other fox? Blond girl?" Her voice was still weak, but loud enough for him to hear. She just wanted to thrust her arm away and run back home, away from her feelings, like she usually did. But she knew she should face them; it would make her stronger, and Maiara did not want to live in regret. She would not shame herself by being too prideful, she would also not speak loud enough for the other book store patrons to hear; this wasn't their concern. "I not Japanese. Other mates stronger than me. Other mates speak better. Other mates more attractive." Her golden eyes now looking at the purple fox directly, she felt pained at her own words, her own excuses. All of his mates had made her feel like she wasn't good enough for him, and it was obvious she had compared herself to each one of them, even the redhead who she had grown fond of. Maiara broke the stare and turned her head away, looking at the stack of books Haikimaru had been interested in. Clenching her teeth, she was attempting to hide again, now without the help of her hood, her sensitive feelings. She felt she could not ask him to be someone he wasn't, and asking him to be with only her counted as such.

Haikimaru forced her eyes to look into his again. He wasn't going to let her go like that. "You're right. Cam is the strongest, Abby doesn't get on my nerves, Mitsuko is the cutest. But you're the beautiful one, the stubborn on, the one I want children with." Haikimaru answered her before let her go and grabbed the book that he had been looking at. "I can get why all the others do what they do, but you. I'm going to study hard and give you a reason to walk back to me every day."

  MITSUKO HANNA KOJUREI
The sound of muttering in the quiet bookstore wasn't anything knew, thought the small kitsune as he walked through the rows and rows of bookshelves, on in particular that had fallen on his head now left a small bump under his black mess of waves. He made a sad face, closing his eyes as he turned down the correct block of books to where it had originally been. He rubbed the back of his head, guessing finding books with magic not the best of ideas. But when he got to where the empty space it was to high up for the boy to reach it, and he felt a bit helpless as his bottom lip came out again and his eyes closed.(chibi pout face :3) His arm still extended up as if, if he tried hard enough, the book would fly back to fill the spot. When it didn't the small male sighed, scratching where his bump was on his head, hid fingers slowly moving down to his neck, feeling no such pain from his burns from the beginning of the year when his roommate had completely spilled hot, sticky occa over his head. He growled, shaking his head. He wouldn't forgive such nonsense and carelessness from the younger fox, even though he had forgiven him long before and almost forgot about it..
A small, black-tipped fox-like ear wiggled from the top of the boy's mess of raven-black hair, catching his name in the wind. His dark eyes turned curious as he went in search of the voices. Almost turning the corner before his eye caught a glimpse of the small scene. The boy quickly changed his course and turned around, going to the previous line of book shelves. He still held the book he held, which had nothing to do with what he had been searching for.. He looked at it now, hiding his face as he tried making out the English.. er.. whatever words these were.. it wasn't English.
As the boy stopped at the end of the row he sat down, holding Shakespeare's tragedies to his nose as he eavesdropped on the two's conversation by "accident" a stress mark forming on his head as he translated the two's words. He couldn't help but let his eyes sadden and his hand let the book fall to his empty lap. His sad black eyes staring down at the book. He didn't know why he was like this.. he wanted Malinois to get well and wished harm on his roommate for hiding all of this from him. He was angry at the senior for admitting to the girl they were still "together" that way, while a part of him was jealous of the spirit-warrior. But still.. yet another part of him felt joy for the woman. But still no happy emotions met his face.

Maiara was quiet, forced to look into Haikimaru's eyes as he made sure he was in her view no matter which way she turned her head. The intensity almost made her want to squirm, but it made her know he wasn't fooling around with her. This was the first time in awhile she had been alone to speak with him, and it was almost unusual for her now to have his sole attention. Once released from his firm grasp, her arms crossed, holding her sore shoulders, not sure what to feel anymore. They were but children themselves; she had just passed her 18th year, and she knew the purple fox could not be much older. While her people lived from 250 to 300 years, kitsunes were much longer living. Eighteen years was nothing. How was she supposed to be sure of anything?
Looking up from the ground, she turned to see the student grab for the book on the Inuit section. Feeling the edges of her face begin to turn a faint red, barely noticeable on her darker skin, she came to realize he was interested in these books, but hadn't wanted her to know. He did care. If he stayed with her, he would break at least three other hearts, but if he left her, he would only break one. Standing there, watching the handsome purple fox with her arms wrapped around herself, her feelings felt more blurry than ever to her. If she were in a better, lighter mood, she would have smiled at that Haikimaru was drawn to her because she was difficult to understand. The old women in the village told her men loved to go after women who were difficult to hunt. Perhaps there was some wisdom in the elders, or perhaps men were just always so predictable. But Maiara had a lot of other things to mull over, and spending time in amusement over what the elders of the village liked to say wasn't what she needed. She thought back to the other lovers, Abby she disliked from the start and felt no remorse with her, but Cam she became quite fond of, and Mitsuko seemed kind of decent. It didn't quite sit right with her. "...Haikimaru?" Maiara began, uncrossing her arms while she spoke his name. By now, her pronunciation of it was better, but still held her distinct accent. "You take me on proper date?" Maiara asked tentatively, hoping he would understand her concern. Not only did she want to see what it would be like to be with him alone, truly alone, but she also wanted to know what a 'date' really was. And in the meantime, she could sort out her feelings for the fox and figure out where her heart was.

Haikimaru was happy that she was at least going to give him a chance to show her how he felt about her. The man leaned over her. "You tell me when and your wish is my command." He answered her with a smile. He then trailed his arm from her shoulder and down her arm and to her had. He held lit like it was a delicate flower. He was going to make her feel like a woman.

"I not care when." Maiara told him, feeling small as he stood close to her, leaning in as he held her hand gently. Instead of fading away, her faint blush stayed on her face; a frustratingly constant source of heat. But it appeared Haikimaru liked this idea of a date, and perhaps while she was here, she should go look up a book about dating. There had to be one around here, amidst all this information. She didn't want to appear dumb at something she herself suggested.
The spirit warrior found herself looking away again, as her legs and side were beginning to irritate her, and she needed to sit but she wasn't about to say anything about it. The proud spirit warrior hated feeling like this, like an old woman with joint problems who couldn't stand for more than a few minutes without pain. "I see you soon then. I need find new dictionary." Maiara said quietly, giving his hand an almost unnoticeable squeeze before brushing past him to return to her previous spot in the bookshelves, trying to keep the slight limp out of her gait in the process.

Haikimaru let her go. He knew that he already had pushed some issues to extreme already and if he did it again then he would be out of the ball park. "I'll see you tomorrow." He told her before the fox turned and walked over to the cashier to buy the book that he had picked out. He payed for it with cash then walked towards the door.

The purple fox having left with the Inuit people book, Maiara could only hope the information in it was accurate; she didn't know who wrote it. Leaving the aisle, she turned the corner to see Mitsuko sitting down, with an unknown expression on his face. The old spirit was difficult for Maiara to figure out and she pleaded silently to the spirits he hadn't been listening on their conversation. It always seemed it was never just her and Haikimaru, ever, not even in the book store. While the conversation was between just the two, here was Mitsuko, less than a few feet away from the two of them. Why hadn't she smelled him? Perhaps the scents of the books were too overpowering, or she had just been too nervous. Giving him a slight nod, if he happened to look up, and she quickly turned the other way, not wanting another confrontation. It was time to get what she needed and to get out of the book store.

Lysa walked towards the book shop. She wanted to get a new book so that she could treasure it. Of course it was a certain book. It was called the Last wing. She sighed as she remembered the cover of it from the magazine. The background was a black velvety, satin piece of cloth. On the cloth held a beautiful white feather. It seem so tempting to receive and have it all to herself. She enter the Book shop and the bell from the door jingled. Lysa ignored it and went to the person at the counter. "Excuse, but do you know where the book called The Last Wing by Annalee Jacklon is?" asked Lysa to the lady with red hair and black eyes. The lady was wearing blue and cream colored suit. She seemed fancy. The lady was wearing an employee tag and it said,"Hello, my name is Rain." Rained coughed and and answered,"Yes, I think so. It's in shelf Station 102. Good luck finding it..." Lysa knitted her eyebrows and said thanks and left. She passed by sections 3-79 before she was exhausted. "Why does creature book shops have to be so big?" whined Lysa. Suddenly she was tapped on the shoulder and heard a voice,"Fayre?" Lysa looked back. Lysa raised her eyebrows to find a tall boy with sleek black hair and warm red eyes. "No, it's her sister, Lysa. Why did you think I was her?" replied Lysa angrily. "Oh, I thought you were her because she also has long creamy hair and ears," said the boy. Lysa scoffed and continued with her search on finding shelf station 102. When she looked back, the boy was gone. "Maybe I got to harsh on him...ah poo! He isn't a man if he can't handle this!" thought Lysa. Soon Lysa found the shelf station 102. She panted as she looked around to find the look she was searching for. She tiptoed to see if it was at the top shelf and she lost her balance. She was nearly toppling over if the boy didn't catch her. "What are you doing here!?" exclaimed Lysa. "Trying to find The Lost Wing duuurrr and not even a thanks or thank you for catching you," said the boy in a slight annoyed voice. Lysa stood back up again and pushed her bangs back into the place she wanted them to be. "Fine...thanks," muttered Lsya. "I'm trying to find the same book too. Wait, you a new friend of Lysa's?" The boy nodded. "Roy...by the way." Lysa looked at him and said, "Lysa." The boy jumped on to the first section of the shelf and grabbed two books of "The Lost Wing." he gave one to Lysa. Lysa said thanks and walked away to purchase the book. The boy didn't follow her. Lysa purchased her book and quickly walked out of the the book store, cuddling her book as she had achieved to find it and have it.

☯I Tried To Make A Move
Entering the store, Emile flinches at the sound of the bell ringing at the top of the door. He tensed, glancing around nervously before finally glancing up and realizing it was only a bell to warn the workers of a new customer entering. Relaxing, his hands unclench from the shiny silver objects in his jacket pockets and he takes a few more steps into the store. He had been in a book store before, but it was always relaxing to enter one. Moving up and down the aisles, he immediately sets about looking for any books focusing on the Anthropological science. Hell, he'd be happy with biology books. Wandering up and down the stacks, he inhales the pleasant smell of books new and old. Humming quietly to himself, Emile stops before a bookshelf and selects a book at random. Flipping it open, he browses through the pages, looking for nothing in particular.
Finding nothing, he wandered back out an hour or so later.

Leo Noire Leo took his first step through the door of the book store. He took a glance, gave a unimpressed look, then went along with his business of finding a book. It certainly was no Akashic Record, but it would have to do. He walked into a certain aisle, baby care. "This is ridiculous." He said waving his hand. All the books began to slide out and spread around him, mid-air, in a circle. As a child he learned how to read five books at once, but he was just finding one for a friend. "Nothing on Vampires I see...." He thought rotating the books in front of him.
