....At lunchtime....
Kairi was sitting up on the cot, leaning against the wall. The nurse was finnishing checking her. Cheching for broken bones, internal injuries, and cuts. She had bandages wrapped around her head, and a brace on her leg, waiting for Justin.

Justin had just finished lunch, then walked to the nurse's office. he walked through the door and saw Kairi. she looked like she was waiting for him. "did ya miss me?" he joked. he then looked his friend over. "how ya feelin'?" he asked.

She shrugged. "Ive been better, but its not to bad. I bruised my leg pretty bad, and I have to get stitches for my head, but nothing major." The nurse handed her a slip and smiled. "here you go dear, you can leave now." She took the slip and got up so she could limp over to him. "I told you I never lose. I fell down stairs and it only took and hour to get better enough to walk." She grinned, proud of herself.

Justin smiled at Kairi. "I'm just glad you're okay. you sure had me worried there." he told her. he was happy to hear that his friend was alright. he then remembered her ears and tail. most people would be scared of stuff like that, but he thought they were kinda cute. but, he would harass Kairi about it later.

Her tail was hanging limply behind her, still sore from being rolled on when she fell. A student had brought her hat, so her ears were covered.

Justin looked at her. he was now more curious about his friend than ever now that he knew she had a tail. he quickly looked away, however, to avoid being caught staring. he didn't want her to think he was a creeper or something.

She sighed. "How many people have been talking about it?" She asked, staring at the floor.

Justin frowned. "I dunno. stopped counting. I guess a lot, though." he told her.

"alright. Time to face my adoring public." She pulled the hat off and put it on Justin's head, then smiled and walked through the door, ears high, tail swaying.

Justin smiled at his friend, then walked out after her. he was glad to see that she was proud of who she was. plus, he still thought the ears were cute, but, again, harassing her with that would have to wait.

Kids barely recognized her and stared, whispering and making new rumors. One of them pulled on her tail, thinking it would fall off. She shrieked and tackled him, then

She got up and dusted dirt off her clothes. "I can garuntee that their real."

Justin laughed through the entire thing. "I'll take your word for it." he joked. he already figured they were real, though.

They walked to their next class, everyone juststaring and whispering. "I can hear you!" She called menecingly. She tucked into their next class and sat in first seat. "Why are people so annoying?"

Justin took a seat next to Kairi. he then had a fake hurt look on his face. "you think I'm annoying, too?" he asked jokingly.
