"I wonder which is more frightening, a bounty placed by rabbits or the fact that you believed me." She chuckled lightly, no, she giggled. Her right ear flicked back at the sound, grimacing briefly. Oh god, she wasn't a giggler. That was cute little Himeko. Sharply whapping her tail into the ground to compensate for her brief girly moment, she twitched when Katsu moved closer. She didn't budge when his weight could be felt on her, though she considered it. What was he doing? Testing her? Though... she didn't mind him there. For now. It was relaxing. Sighing contently, she quietly rested some of her weight against him, just a little.
Then the "us" comment came from his mouth, resulting in the orange and black vixen twitching, blinking at him in horror, and moving away. "D-Don't take that wrong." She mentally kicked herself for stuttering. "S-Shut it, boy." Glancing at the rabbits to ease her mind the orange vixen ran through a list of ideas. Well, she did have to go sometime soon... she would be healed enough eventually. She could take it home, leave a few corpses for Katsu.
Leave. This word resulted in an involuntary grumble, tail once more lashing.

He couldn't help but grin cheekily when he realized that she had giggled. Not a laugh, not a chuckle, a giggle. And this was Hollow! Oh, this was amusing. Softly giving a chuckle under his breath, Katsu chose to wag his tail, rather than laugh or tease her about her slight moment of girlishness. The weight against his side was... nice. Relaxing. Peaceful even. He quietly enjoyed the moment, tail still wagging slowly behind him
...That is, until Hollow moved away. Letting out a light huff at the sudden loss of her weight pressed against his side, Katsu scrunched his nose. Baww! Man, what the hell? That had been nice! He was about to give out a snippy little comment about it when she suddenly stuttered. Stuttered. Ooh, this was different~ "Hushing it then~" Katsu rumbled out, a smirk on his face.
Looking over at their pile of rabbits, he reached a paw out to pull one towards himself. Time to eat~

Hollow watched Katsu eat briefly before grabbing her own corpse. Fine. She glared at him, though not a literally mean glare, and flicked her tail. Hmpf. He was the king of getting reactions from her that she didn't want to show. The dark haired vixen stopped chewing for a second, wondering why it was. Before she had seen him she had been thinking of him constantly, it had distracted her from her duties in Kemet...
Yet... She looked up at him, hissing between her teeth as she swallowed. What was it about him that made him special? She wasn't an idiot, she knew what she felt, but.... She didn't like the fact that he was so special. What about Himeko? No. She had Kaname now... The only problem there was.... Katsu was in Bamboo. She'd hardly pursue anything with him, even if he was the first male to amuse her like this. She couldn't keep her life between Himeko and traveling to see Katsu. No. She had a firm life now and she had a hard enough time with that.

Rolling his eyes fondly at the glare she flashed at him, Katsu turned his attention to finally eating some lunch. Carefully ripping away at the hare pinned between his paws, he munched away quietly. Man, food tasted way better when you took it down yourself. His tail gave a few pleased thumps against the ground softly as he ate, eyes occasionally flicking to the side to look over at Hollow... Hm. Done with his first meal, Katsu licked at his chops, nudging away the inedible bits of the hare off to the side.
"...So.." Katsu mumbled out, reaching over to pull a second hare towards himself. "Can I ask why you're lookin' at me like that? Hm?.." Oh yes, he had noticed~ He.. couldn't figure out the look on her face, though. Hrm. His next meal settled between his front paws, he turned his head to look over at her. "Am I really that good lookin' or something, Hollow?~" Then, a slow smirk working it's way onto his lips, he let out a soft scoff. "I doubt that I'm that damn distracting.. So, spill. What'cha thinkin' about?"

She blinked blankly at him when he asked her that question, frowning. To damn observing. Stupid male. She briefly considered just ignoring him, to hell was she telling him how weak she was being, but instead she shook her head, tail flicking to the side.
"About how your hair is constantly a mess." She chirped back, frowning. "It's as if all you do is roll about." Approaching the male, she flipped some pieces of his hair from his face, tail flicking back and forth.
"And how sloppy men seem to eat." She added absently, frowning briefly as she moved a little away so he could have room.

"Oh. Yes. Yes, I do nothing but roll around all day." Waiting for her to finish fixing his hair, Katsu let out a soft little huff. Oh, she obviously cared about him, even if it was just a little. His own damned sister didn't fret over him like this or anything. Like... ever.. This was nice. "Alriiiiight, mother, alright~" Katsu rumbled out teasingly.
Giving a quick little yawn, he nudged the hare between his paws back into the pile, deciding to take a short break from eating. "Me? A messy eater? Girl, please." With a soft snort, Katsu sat up, shaking himself out lazily before moving a little closer to Hollow. He contemplated something before.. Well, he acted. He reached out, planting a nice little lick on her cheek. And then another. And another. And then a nuzzle. And another lick. And then a nuzzle once more. "You're a messy eater.." He murmured, leaning to plant yet another lick, this time on her opposite cheek. Pfft, there were no bits of anything on her face. Hollow seemed to be a rather clean eater, actually. But hey, he wasn't about to turn down an opportunity to get closer to her. "..Food all over your face..." Lightly bumping his nose against hers, he smirked a bit. "Obviously."

A blush touched the vixens cheek briefly, though she flicked her tail and slapped him lightly with it. 'S-Stupid boy." Her grumble was soft, plopping down on her bum and flicking her ears back.
"I am far cleaner than you." She glanced over to him, eyes narrowing. "Look at your face, so messy." She chuckled lightly, head shaking as she grabbed leaves, leaning over to ruffle his hair with the leaves. "There, now your hair is as messy as your face."

"Nah, pretty damn sure you're messier than I am." Katsu said with a grin, tail giving a flick as his hair was ruffled and messed up. Ugh, they were like kits together. Stupid and silly and ridiculous and.. and it was fun.
Scrunching his nose and shaking his head, he raised a paw to swat at the leaves lightly, occasionally letting it stray to swat Hollow playfully. "Hey, that's cheeeeeating~" He whined out, swatting at the leaves a few more times before giving up and lowering his paw. "You're just makin' me messier. I was helping you out by cleaning you." He stated, a light smirk coming on as he gave his head a good shake. There. No more leaves.
Rolling his eyes fondly, he plucked one of the fallen leaves from the ground, quickly smoothing it into Hollow's hair. "Now your hair is as messy as your face."

This was bothering her, she realized. The fact that she was growing close to this male was bothering her. She wasn't one to bond with others, not unless they were Himeko and her kits, however this immature male had found a way to actually make her lips twitch into a faint smile. Moron.
Still, when a leaf was flattened into her hair Hollow chuckled briefly, slamming her tail into his side, shaking her head until the leaf escaped. "I'm not sure what you're talking about. Obviously you're mistaken, my face is clean and beautiful." Slipping her paw to jab at the ground, her eyes raised to look at the male.
"Doesn't your tribe worry about your absence?"

Katsu gave a slight tilt of his head, a little curious about that faint smile she had. First a small lip twitch, and then a smile following after it?... What was she smiling about?
...Welp, he didn't have time to think about that. Letting out a huff at the unexpected slam from her tail, Katsu smirked a bit. "Geeze, violent much?" He jested, raising a paw to smooth out his fur.
And then, once again, Katsu was caught off guard. His tribe? Bamboo? "Ah.. I dunno. I don't think my family worries about me~ I mean, I tell dad and my siblings when I'm about to wander away a little. They know I can take care of myself pretty well, so.. I don't think they worry too much. They trust me to come back, y'know, all that good stuff." His face scrunched just a little as he tried to think. "..No idea about the tribe's feelings on it, though." He let out a light sigh, gently - and rather lazily - swiping at the ground with a paw as he thought about things. "I doubt they notice it much. Bamboo's a little... disorganized and stuff right now, I think. Things kinda.. fell apart?"
He flicked his tail out at Hollow's, turning his attention to messing with her now, rather than swiping at the ground in a bored manner. "...Hey, what's Kemet like? I kinda want to know a lil' more."

Flicking her tail towards the male, Hollow blinked at his question briefly before letting out a low, gentle sigh. Her tribe? How could she explain it? At first she hated it, and sometimes she contemplated hating it once more. Yet, given the option, which she had in the past, she wouldn't leave.
"Kemet is a large tribe." She mused absently, head tilting to the side. "It is in a desert, but we have plenty of places to hide away in, pyramids to hide inside." She shrugged. Still, sometimes she found herself becoming grouchy in the heat.
"... A lot of members are having kids lately." Jealousy leaked into her words, lip twitching slightly. "I joined for my sister, though now I stick with them to help with the kids and training new members. It's a pleasant tribe, Horus runs it well, just so many brats to train."

Katsu gave a nod of his head as she spoke of Kemet, a little sign to show her that he was listening. "Pyramid? Never seen one before..." He murmured, head giving a slight tilt to the side. Sure, he'd heard of deserts. Shino had talked about them briefly, saying something about going on little trips back and forth between Bamboo and his.. girlfriend? mate? in the nearby desert. Something like that. But what was a pyramid?.. Huh. He'd have to get Hollow to show him one later.
...Hah. She didn't sound like she was having all that much fun with those brats.
"Horus is your guy's Elder, right?" He said, giving a flick of his tail as he thought of something. Another flick. And then another. And then he... stopped. "Are you.. uh, lonely, Hollow? Over in your tribe?" Katsu asked, hesitating with his words and the way he said them and.. well, everything. "I mean, I know Himeko is over there with you and everything, but.." He gave a light snort. "Training brats all the time doesn't sound all that fun. Sounds like it would get... dull after a while."

She blinked at him, almost laughing before catching herself. She hadn't known what a pyramid was until she came to Kemet, it was only logical he didn't understand. Racking her brain for a way to summarize the object, she managed with a flimsy explantation. "It's like a triangle, but huge. Some of them have openings and provide shelter when we need it."
Nodding at the mention of Horus, the vixen didn't seem to annoyed with his name. He didn't annoy her, as Kaname often did. He wasn't even a bad Elder, and when she told him she may leave the tribe long ago he hadn't been violently against it. She respected him, that was one of very few reasons she even stayed in the tribe.
The next question made her freeze, stiff as she thought it over. His snort made her ear flick, head shaking slightly. "Maybe." Oh? Being honest for once? Hollow rarely expressed her emotions... She wasn't truly sure how to voice these. "I was fine with just Himeko and I, then she suddenly wanted Kemet. I was going to leave, but I stayed back when she had kids and I realized it's the only life I have. I don't mind the tribe itself. I wouldn't leave it now. Though..." Kids. She wanted kids. Not only that, she wanted other things. Like a mate, and a family of her own. Watching Himeko and Kaname not only pissed her off, but reminded her just of how lonely she was.
"Everyone is pairing off. Kids have come and gone. Perhaps I am lonely. Though, you wouldn't dare catch me complaining about it."

"These pyramids you're talking about, they're giant.. er, triangles?..." Katsu would have looked at her like she was crazy if... Well, if it wasn't Hollow telling him this, he wouldn't have any reason to believe it. In fact, he'd probably think that the other individual was crazy. Huge, triangular... uh, homes we're just a little out of the ordinary to him. "Alright then. You'll definitely have to show me when I come over for a visit sometime."
Listening to her as she voiced her thoughts on the tribe, he felt... kind of bad. Wait. Not kind of, he felt really bad. Especially after hearing that last part. "Everyone's pairing off, hm? I can understand how that makes things... lonely." She had the other tribe members to hang out with, sure. But the idea of Hollow being surrounded by Himeko and the family she had started, while she herself didn't have a mate or anything of the sort? That wasn't something he liked. No, not at all. Hell, if he had known about her being that lonely, he would have asked Elder Sparkio if he could make a few more visits than usual.
He wanted to do something about it, something to help fix the problem.
"So, ah.." Oh, he was bad at these sorts of things. "Listen. Let's just say, for example, that... maybe you are lonely." Katsu had to pause, taking a moment to think of how to word things. Ugh, he wasn't good at this kind of crap! "If you.. were lonely. If you were, would you like someone like, uh... me around?" That... wasn't how he wanted things to come out. Like, at all. What the hell was he even asking?! 'Deities above, he was horrible at this.

She dared him to question her when he began to stammer about the pyramids, tail flicking in response as he seemed to come to terms with it. She shrugged as he repeated her statement, half expecting him to admit he was pairing off, as well. She disliked using the term "mating", it only twisted the blade deeper into her wound. Especially because then she would have to acknowledge her sister being mated, and this she wasnt prepared for.
She almost regretted voicing her thoughts, grimacing as she realized just how pathetic she must have sounded. She was supposed to be strong and independent, but even her had to admit that she didn't always like being alone. Hell, a part of her was willing to leave Kemet to avoid all the lovey dovey couples, her loyalty to Himeko starting to waver as she realized that her sister had family and grandkids now, Hollow wasn't needed anymore.
Then Katsu began to ramble.
For a brief second she almost was illusioned into believing he was asking to be her mate, and she had to stop her heart from skipping, realizing that this was Katsu she was speaking of. Why would he choose her? Folding her paws, she laughed as he spoke, a rare smirk on her lips.
"If I didn't know better, I would be thinking you were asking to be my mate by how nervous you sound." Hell, she almost grimaced as she spoke, realizing that her disappointment might have shown briefly. Wait. Why Katsu? Why was she suddenly acting like a school girl with a man like him? He wasn't her type, a fool at best. Yet, when he spoke of staying around she felt a relief she was not fond of. Even as hard headed as she was she had to admit to herself that she liked the brat. He wasn't her type, yet, maybe that was what endeared her. He was foolish and silly, able to annoy her and amuse her at the same time. He was never a bore, something rare for Hollow whose attention wavered with men, and he had the ability to interest her when she least expected it. There were other things, but Hollow wasn't a sentimental woman, she wasn't about to list off every trait she liked.
"If you're asking my permission to visit, you don't need it. I....I don't mind your visits." Quickly, she looked away, hiding the slight embarrassment that showed. She really hated admitting her feelings, she was going to take her aggressions out on Kaname when she got home.
