i'm really shy about telling people about my sexuality, and only a few close friends know because we live in the most homophobic city ever.

I'm always a little nervous about it, but I try to mention it as casually as I can in the first or second conversation I have with someone, if I intend on having them as a friend. People usually get the impression that I'm queer right away anyway, seeing as I have tons of rainbows and GLBT-pride pins and patches.
I'm really fortunate that I've had very few bad reactions to it. And the few I've had, I didn't really care about the person, so I could just shrug it off.
I'm worried about next year, though, with going off to college. Not sure if people will be that easy-going there.

ok it took me like forever to tell my best friend... but you know what she actually knew which made it a bit easier to talk to her about it... she kinda took the anexity away from me by just saying that that is what she thought i was odd about... My other friend (girl) said she would be there in any way she could... including experimenting lol which is good... although i havent actually done anything at all with her... yet wink Other frined (girl) is a lez so that helps out quite a bit and she actually is proud to know that i could trust her with something like that... oh and her g/f knows as well... The three guys that i told are kool about it and are actually a bit amused by it... the one said he would let me figure out what was going on with me and if i needed him i could just ask... ((cuz im still curious right now)) the other just laughed and doesnt really understand my reasoning for wondering but is still kool with it all... the other is gay so that was amusing cuz now i get to go to the club with him whenever i turn 18 whee
but thats all only 7 people know that im even ?ing my sexualitly... but it works cuz they all understand.

Blah. No one in real knows that I'm bi, only my online friends, and they are all ok with, atleast they say they are. The fact that I live in such a small comunity makes it worse because everyone knows everyone else, espcially our parents, so if I told any of my friends, God knows it would get around school, then one of my cousins that goes to my school would find out and probably hate me, then tell their parents who will probably hate me, who will tell MY parents who will probably leave me out on the side of the road in a box. -Nodnod- I'll probably wait until after I've moved out before I tell them, that way I don't have to worry about them kicking me ot of the house.

Most people assume that I'm not. A lot of my friends are bi, so if they actually ask me, I'll tell the truth. My parents are a different story.

BUT hey who knows maybe someone else in your school is bi or gay as well and then you get a new friend wink wink

Every other gay or bi person in my school that I know of moved away 'cause they were either shot or had a knife pulled on them.

I've only told my 3 closest friends that I'm bi, and I still don't know how to tell my mom. I haven't told my brother either, and he's usually the first to know about things like this. I'm afraid that he'll stop talking to me, or something. I don't want to tell my mom, even though I know she'll be fine with it because she has a gay brother and a bi brother and she's fine with them.

I'm kinda scared of telling people that I'm bi so I dont anymore because when I told a couple of my closest friends they told people who are homophobes at my school so I dont have as many friends in school as I used to and I dont like when people talk about me in the hallways like i cant hear them so i only tell people online.
