Damarko had heard a small child clear his throat causing him to turn around and take notice to the addition of their party.
"Hello," he said watching the boy move towards the one in the pretty dress.
It seemed as this was the smarter one trying to rescue them both from him. The boy tried saying that they needed to go to the church for some big event with a lot of people and guns, which meant no place for Damarko.
"No, I don't think you are going to the church today. You're both coming to my house to play hide and seek with my guests. Isn't that right," he asked the boy in the dress.
The tall man stepped up to both of them and quickly placed his hands on their shoulder to turn them in the direction of his fiance's family mansion. He pushed enough to make them walk with him. If this fails he would have no problem putting them out and carrying them back home, one in each arm.
"After our game, we can have a buffet of goodies. You'll love our chef's cooking."

- - -Oh why was his friend so reluctant to play? So shy wasn't he! Angelina just had to help the boy be a little more trusting! Who wouldn't trust a man in the middle of the woods offering a game of tag at his home and then goodies promised at the end of it if they went? Nobody! As they were pushed along by hands that were quite large in comparison, Angelina tossed a comforting smile at Junior, reaching towards him to pat his shoulder. He'll show him what fun it is to not be so timid. Grabbing Junior's arm, he didn't need to be guided, no that pace was too slow. Tugging at Junior, he picked up a quicker pace than their new big friend. "Come, move faster! Will be fun, yes?"
He grinned merrily as the thoughts of many chocolate goods frolicked in his head, holding each others chocolatey hands as they laughed and played. "Very nice man, you are." He called back with most appreciation to such kindness the man was displaying. That's how Angelina wanted to be when he was big and tall, nice just like him! He'd give chocolate to all the boys and girls so they never went without it!

Ah?! It didn't work?! But – Guns were scary and nobody wanted to be shot by angry churchgoers! The churchgoers Junior knew were angry enough as it is! Well, except for the female ones.. The old lady and auntie were alright, but everyone else? They were scary! So, if he knew that to be fact, why didn't this man know it? ..Unless his scariness was so scary that it made things that Junior found scary seem less scary? ...That was scary and a total overuse of one word to an almost annoying degree, which was also frightening! The boy was trembling at this point and would probably be bawling his eyes out if he wasn't supposed to be a boy. Still, that didn't stop tears in his eyes. He looked at Angelina, then over his shoulder at the man pushing him, but his lengthy bangs shielded his eyes from seeing a very clear image of the other. Part of him was tempted to shove Angelina at him and run off, but he would be too sick of himself if he did something like that. He looked at Angelina instead and winced as the child took his arm to hurry them on to what certainly would be their deaths or something worse. He swallowed, hard, and though he had the urge to tell Angelina that, no, this wasn't fun and, no, the man wasn't going to be nice, he couldn't bring himself to do it. Well, not loudly, at any rate.
He grabbed him by his shoulder and leaned in to whisper into the other's ear in a hurried rush, “A-Angelina, this is, um, we.. ah.. shouldn't.. because.. he could..” He stopped, twisted his lip and scrunched up his brow, “kill o-or break your neck. You should, um, uh.. go. Y-you can run,” He glanced around and pointed off to the side, “that way and I'll.. um.. throw.. a rock.. at him.. a-and then run and we can both.. get away.. It-it would be better.” Basically, throw a rock at him and run. ..Yes, Junior wasn't very good at creative plans and it took a few seconds to get that one out, but at least he was trying! He pulled Angelina a little farther ahead of the man and kept a suspicious eye on him. Not that he could honestly do much if the other tried to attack him, but, still.

He smiled with charm that he had trained himself to do over the years. He was pleased that this girlish child had no idea what was in store for him. What a surprise it would be. Damarko chuckled deeply when the boy even complimented him about being a generous man. The other boy wasn't impressed. He was going to be the trouble maker for sure. This wasn't any problem though because he was a small child against a tall Italian male. He has no chance of escape anyways. When set Damarko off was the whispering going on ahead on him. Whispering and secrets were never a good thing. It meant that planning was being made. The boy was starting the trouble already and it needed to be fixed before it began.
"Tell me, how old are both of you," he asked loud enough for them to hear him.
He was trying to grab their attention and prove to them that he wasn't a terrible man looking to harm some innocent children. He was looking to play some games. His eyes shifted around the field as they came closer to the area where his dear fiance's home was located. Soon, all his objectives will be complete and the suffering will begin. Damarko hoped that his younger brother Carlo hadn't started without him. It always pissed him off when his younger brother took things into his own hands, especially when it was his master plan.

~New Day! Yoakim Jr. & Angelina were lead off to the mansion by Damarko.~ ((Sorry, quick. D: )) Every single step to the Field was a world of conflicting pain for Mao as Mei and him were herded by Freja for goddess knows what reason. The apocalypse, if he were to believe what the mad woman was saying. He partly wanted to scold the damned woman for being such a, well, psychotic b***h, but.. this was Mao. He probably hadn't been more turned on then when Judith had humiliated him in front of his team on a previous treasure hunt~! So, yes, he somewhat regrettably enjoyed every pull of his bun that she had for him, up until they were at the field and simply standing there, the three of them, two of which waiting on whatever the purple-haired wench had to say. He finally slapped Freja's hand from his hair and stepped back, a tad breathless as he fixed the bun and wondered if he should care whether he was in the field without any warning or not.
..Well, he was the boss of the clinic, it wasn't like anyone could scold him for not being there! So, instead, he looked at Mei with a stare that, if he did have the telepathic abilities Freja had hoped for, would translate into just how he was going to chew her out for leaving the clinic without any warning or question to him whether it was time for a break or not. Once that message was done going through his mind for any mind readers in the area, he looked at Freja with a bored look. “..Well?” Was all he said as he waited impatiently for her to explain what the hell they were supposed to be doing there.

The Reality ◑ The Delusion - - - - A little muddy and some scraped up knees, and Emery strayed aimlessly through the grassy field. She picked uselessly underneath her finger nails at the mud packed underneath, frowning at the unpleasant cramped feeling of it. Such distraction of on the go nail care had her in the field then from her previous destination where her brother, being blind, had failed to grasp the right girl and drag her home. Some poor npc girl was definitely not happy right now. Leaving Emery free to roam as she pleased. If she only knew where she'd want to go or do. The breeze was nice on her legs as it tousled her skirt about and dried the mud to her, which she wasn't certain if it made the crusty dirt any more comfortable then when it was wet and cold. On her hip, she carried a deep red satchel, the items inside bouncing about against her hips to the beat of her skip in her step. Whatever was inside, made a dull clanking sound against each other that she had long since forgotten about since the sound became natural. Where had her brother gone? Did he go home? No, he wouldn't leave Emery! Maybe he went to go get something sweet? Yum, sweets. Emery wanted something sugary. Grinning to herself, she felt real clever as an idea came to mind. She had decided to try something new to get the mud from her nails, and that was clawing at the grass below. Though it wasn't all too effective, it did scrape the mud from her hands, as well as gain her new mud in her fingers. Well, what plans are perfect?

Today was.. pretty nice, wasn't it? Even when it was the weekend, he was still pretty happy for some reason when, normally he was busy at home alone shooting virtual deer by himself. What else could a boy do when he had no friends? But! Junior did have friends! Or, well, two.. maybe three.. He wasn't sure about Molly.. But, she was kind of his friend, right..? He hoped so or else all those days he spent with her would mean nothing! ..Then again, did any day with Junior mean anything? Didn't think so.. Ah, well, these thoughts were ruining his good day! He had to think about something more uplifting – like Mitsukai! They were friendly! She accepted his flower and, thus, had enough heart points to be considered a friend, right?! That was how friendship worked, didn't it?! He bit his lip and twiddled his fingers as he pondered that thought, wandering towards the church for another day with Uncle Jacob, when he spotted something unusual in the grass.
Considering his eyes were at the ground the whole time, 'spotting something unusual' meant 'spotting a young lady at his feet digging in the grass'. The boy's eyes widened and he let out a short yelp as he jumped back in surprise, not having expected that in the least. Especially not in the same place he had been.. with Angelina.. Oh, Goddess! He felt his heart hammering at a hundred and more miles per hour as a cold sweat broke on his neck and face. “U-uh..!” He croaked out shakily, tripping over his feet as he tried to step back and away from the stranger. Why did he have to get clumsy now, of all times?! He could only hope that she was just going to stand up and leave.. or at least not hurt him too badly.

The Reality ◑ The Delusion - - - - - The scraping of the grass had decently cleaned the mud from her hands, that was pleasing enough. Now only if she could figure out what to do about the mud under her finger nails... She had motioned to put her fingers into her mouth to clean them off that way, but before such a disturbing action could be taken, she was startled by the cry of another person. Why did that person cry out? She didn't know. Nothing was scary around her – that she knew of. Oh my gosh, was there something scary? Should she be frightened too? Yes! If there is something scary, she better scream too! ”Ah!” She jolted out as she kicked against the ground and fell backwards onto her bottom where she promptly began seeking out what had been so scary. There was a boy, grass, trees... Oh.. Was it invisible?! Widened eyes turned to the bunny like boy, her muddy hands grasping her shirt as she pulled it up to cover part of her face. Though, it exposed part of her belly, she felt that covering your face was more important that your tummy. Tummies are just tummies after all, and hiding your face helped against invisible monster, her siblings taught her that. ”What, what?! Is there a monster?! Is it invisible? Where is it? Why did you scream?” She glanced around her in a manner that a bird might flick its head about when uneasily seeking out the source of sound to larger wings. Just in case, she lowered her voice to a hushed shout, just in case the monster was listening. ”Should we run?”

Sitting on the ground, his arms splayed out awkwardly as they tried to keep him upright and focused on the girl with only perhaps ten percent of his brain power focused onto the action, Junior quickly found he couldn't see the girl. Why?! Where?! Did she run away? Oh, Goddess, let it be that she ran off and left him alone! He whimpered as memories of the frightening stranger from the field before came back to mind, thoughts he hadn't been forced to revisit for at least a year since then. He squinted his eyes to try to see her, realizing a second later that his own overgrown bangs were what was keeping him from watching her. He blew a breath up at them to try to move them as subtly as possible, but before he could notice whether it worked or not, another scream had him scrambling backwards as fast as he could go – until his head hit hard against the stone shrine dedicated to the Wind Fairy. He didn't take too long praying that the fairy could come out and help him, finding it much easier to just use it to pull himself back up to his feet while facing the woman.
“Whuh..” He wasn't sure what he was trying to say, but it didn't really matter when the girl decided to burst into his softly uttered sound with a barrage of her own questions. His fear numbed as confusion took over, his wide eyes looking more questioning then pleading through the bright orange bangs. Monster? Invisible? There was no such thing! ..No.. No, Junior remembered a monster.. In his closet. For months after the kidnapping, he couldn't help but hear a rustle in his closet that often forced Theresa to come in and sleep with him or him with her – but, she always told him it wasn't real! “T-that isn't – it.. isn't..!” He spluttered out, but he couldn't! She was older; she knew better! If she said it, then – oh, Goddess! “Muh-muh-muh-muh..” The mutters were soft, too soft to really hear, but the following scream was certain to catch anyone's attention, “Monsters! Invisible! G-Goddess, Goddess! W-why?! I-I d-don't wanna get t-taken again!” He fell to his knees and turned straight to the shrine, spreading his arms around the base of it to better try to coax the fairy out. That's what Jacob said to do, right?! Pray and stuff got better! Well, with how hard he was praying, it had better start getting better!

The Reality ◑ The Delusion - - - - - Emery had already frightened herself with her own wild imagination, and now the boy wasn't helping. Not helping at all! Why, he made everything worse. The boy was more scared then she was! Oh no, oh no, did the monster already attack him? Was that why he was so worried? Was it going to get Emery next? Did it have big ugly claws and two long, sharp pointy teeth and a big fluffy tail?! The images were so terrifying that Emery had upset herself to the point she had tears in her eyes. She didn't want to get taken either! As she was busy terrifying herself, the boy had made a run for it. Maybe he saw it! Was it behind her?! There had to be a reason he ran so quickly! Without a second thought, or even a glance behind her, she barreled after him in rushed, messy, steps. Steps that were much too uncoordinated, that it led to her stepping on her own low hanging bag and falling straight forward into the boy. At least she didn't hit the statue, that would have hurt... Instead, she hit his soft body full force and was hugging that instead, hiding her face into his shirt that she proceeded to wipe tears onto.
”No, no, no, monsters!! No, monsters, no!” She cried into his shirt profusely, hugging him as though he would turn around and fight away any monster that came and tried to take her away. Yeah, boys were strong! Well, so was Benedetta, but she was special! All she had to do was hold onto him and he wouldn't let anything happen to her, right? Yeah! Squeezing, she embraced him for dear life from her own imagination. ”Get rid of the monster, get rid of it!” She didn't dare peak out from his shirt, not until she was assured that if she did so, she wouldn't meet eyes with the most frightening creatures of all. Squirrels... The word was so immensely scary, that Emery shrieked as her own thoughts played games against her to where she was certain to hear the clicking noise the little demons made when they chattered those awful teeth together. ”Get rid of the squirrels!!”

Before the fairies or, heck, even the Goddess could make the other girl burst into flames and – oh, no, flames were frightening.. Uh! Dust! ..No, his allergies would act up.. Uh, uh! Powder? No, sparkles? No.. Air! Just nothing! He wished she would just disappear without any trace and then he could go back to Uncle Jacob and enjoy his time there and.. and everything would be better again! He could feel tears well up in his eyes as he clutched onto the shrine, but they didn't fall until a force shoved him against it, his face, which had been pressed lightly before the intricate details of the open shrine, suddenly smashed against it, making him see stars for a brief second. His eyes were wide in shock before they clenched shut in pain in the same moment, a yelp escaping his lips that followed with a groan. What.. happened?! He didn't – oh. Oh, Goddess. She was against him. He felt something twist in his gut and a dizzy feeling in his head as he truly just wanted to go back home or.. heck, he wouldn't even mind going to see Molly at the park! So long as he didn't have to listen to the weird, clingy woman as she tried to drag him away to do who knows what with him! Last time, he had just ended up in a room, but he wasn't stupid enough to think that was all that could have happened!
“I-I can't! I d-don't know how!” He wailed out as he tried to push himself from his uncomfortable position against the shrine, swallowing hard as he realized that she was.. pressed against him. Crying. His heart thudded as he craned his head to cautiously look down at her, panic so clearly stated on his face even if there was a hesitating dimming of the emotion just barely noticeable in his eyes. “U-uh..” She.. seemed to be.. no, no! She wasn't! She was going to hurt him and drag him – but. But, she was.. scared? His nails dug into the hard wall of the shrine, scraping painfully there while he forced himself to remain still, though he couldn't stop shaking even with such a command in mind. What did he do? He knew what she was going to do, but – she wasn't. Not yet. He sniffed, “T-there – uh, t-there a-aren't.. uh.. Squirrels, s-so.. so.. u-um.. Goawaypleaseandthankyou.” The last part came as a squeak as he swiveled his head back around and ducked it into the cement, hiding it there in preparation for the worse. Not the brightest of moves as he noticed too late that pressed one's face against a stone wall wasn't the most comfortable of things to do. He winced, but he wasn't going to make a sound now. Not anything outside of trembling breaths in anticipation.

The Reality ◑ The Delusion - - - - - Squished tightly, safely, against the boy, Emery had made herself dead set on keeping a deathly tight grip on him. She trembled, which hid from her the fact that he was trembling just as much as she was. So busy was she, in her own head, that she hadn't take a dime notice of what he was doing or really much of what he was saying. She was too busy mumbling about the terrifying furry monsters. Why did they have to come now? What did she do? She was just playing in the field.. Maybe she shouldn't have run off from her brother. Her brother could have protected her too. Or did the boy lead them to her? That thought upset her, and she didn't want to be upset with her savior. He wouldn't do that, would he? No, no one was that mean! No one would lead – the squirrels were gone? Among her worry and anxiety, she picked up on the one thing that mattered to her that he had spoken. And that was the squirrels were - ”Gone?” She mumbled, quietly choked with a soft voice drowned by her fit of fear just moments ago. It was a hopeful plea, shrouded by the doubt that some could still be around, and to say such a fortunate thing might send them coming right back. But.. Had he rid of them after all? So, he couldn't be a mean boy! No, no, he was a nice boy, yes. Such a brave, nice boy. He scared away the squirrels! They must have took one look at him and run for cover!
Just to make sure, she glanced nervously out from the wet cloth of his shirt, gingerly scoping the area for any tiny movement before tracking her sight back to him. From tears of terror to tears of gratitude, Emery gazed up at the strong boy's.. head, since he wasn't looking outwards anymore, for his heroic deed. It now dawned on her that they were gone and it was thanks to him. She was saved! With a shriek of joy, she returned her embrace to him, rubbing her face and chest against him in affectionate cuddles riddled with cries of relief, such actions that a two year old might do to a parent in the midst of excitement. ”Thank you, thank you, thank you! That was so scary, you're so brave! You scared away the.. monsters!”

The monsters. ..He.. scared away monsters? Him? He did! The pride that flared in his chest at that thought was enough to qualm some of his shakes, but he still looked very much like a starved dog facing a wolf in the woods and, honestly, a smaller part of him felt just like that. He was alone and he knew from experience that people didn't often go through the field! ..But.. He scared away a monster! He didn't do that before when he really needed it, but at least he knew he could do it if he.. crouched in front of the shrine and cried like a baby while praying to the Goddess or whatever was listening in for protection. Who knew? “M-me? I-I did? I.. Uh. I didn't.. think..” He mumbled out in a mix of embarrassment and surprise, awed at himself for doing such a feat. If he scared away the monster, then that meant the girl wasn't the monster he was frightened by before? Wasn't that a relief! ..Alright, not really, but it wasn't often that someone outside of his family was nice to him, so he really wanted to believe that she actually wasn't so bad.
...It seemed one part of him really didn't think she was so bad either. Junior had turned ever so slightly towards the teenage girl just as she started to rub herself against him excitedly, his eyes bulging and body going rigid at the feeling while he paled. One would think that he was just frightened by the copious amount of random contact, that she maybe was planning on dragging him off again, but.. Oh, no. That blood? Yeah, it was rushing straight down to there, while that look was one of utter dismay rather than fear. A girl hadn't ever been that close to him and – and – Oh, Goddess. He squeaked something out as he twisted back around to the shrine, but he could still feel her and.. and it really wasn't helping him at all. If anyone ever questioned whether one could run out of tears, they just needed to look at Junior, who seemed to be giving his ducts quite a work out as he started to cry again. Jacob would probably kick him for acting like such a girl, but he couldn't help it! Why now of all times?!
“G–.. Go away!” He squawked at her, though a look of apology came across his features moments later, “Please? I-I – um, I'd.. like it better – please? I-I just want to go home..” Or be left alone or anything! He sniffed; this day was turning out horrible! Why did everyday outside turn out so bad?! He would rather be at home in his room playing video games instead of this! He sometimes could get so mad at Auntie Tess for insisting he go outside!

The Reality ◑ The Delusion - - - - - What joys that she had found someone so unique and great, a boy who could scare the little monsters away. So happy was Emery that she was swelled with a feeling of affection for him. Her brothers often pointed out the squirrels and.. well never did anything about them. Now that she thought about it, they normally let her panic until.. until she couldn't remember until what. Her memory fuzzed and she decided that it was simple enough to boil it down to that they weren't brave like this boy. Why, if she went everywhere with him, never would a squirrel dare terrify her again. And, and if she was around him enough, and they saw it, they might not even bother her when she wasn't with him! Her new friend, her new squirrel fighting friend. But, he looked so unsettled. Had Emery done something wrong? Did she upset him? Frowning, she sat in a moments silence. Wasn't he happy? They were gone. As was her thoughts to his command to 'go away.' Cause, well, why would he ask her to go away? Only mean people were so disliking to say such things, so of course he wouldn't be talking about that to her. No chance.
”They are gone. You scared them away.” She reminded him with a happy tune, giggling with joy at such a joyous thing to be able to say about such a scary thing. How often does a person get to say that? She never got to say that before! Not until she met this boy. Oh yes, what a great, great boy he was. Emery liked her new friend a lot. Smiling, she sat upwards and embraced him delicately about his neck, pressing her chest against him as she tried to give him a hug to reassure him of his safety. Yes, his safety thanks to him. ”We can go home. I like home too. Lets go? Then we can play games!” They were going to go play games together, oh what fun she was going to have. Go play games at her new friends house! He had such wonderful ideas too. What an amazing person he was!

...Oh, Goddess. Oh, Goddess, no, don't tell Junior that those two.. soft.. so soft.. objects against his back was.. were.. Oh, GODDESS, what did he do today to deserve this?! He did all his homework! He didn't scare his pet chicken when she bit him by yelping! He didn't even kill a single virtual deer on his video game last night!! Though, that last part was more unintentional than anything, but, still! He thought he had done pretty good – he even listened to Uncle Jacob talk about his feelings and he honestly didn't tell anyone about it! ..Maybe Theresa.. Just a little. But, it wasn't intentional! He was trying his best! ..Oh, who was he kidding? Junior always did something wrong, which got him into the most awkward messes ever. If it wasn't something he did this week, it was something he had done a few years ago by being an utter failure. He sunk into the gloomy pits of despair, even with an attractive girl clinging to him like that – oh, no, 'that' part of him wasn't calming one bit, but, given enough of these darker thoughts and he may just –
“W-w-wuh-wuh–?” He sounded out when he heard the girl's next words, his eyes widening and his face once again flushing a deep red. She wanted to go to his house?! Play games? With him? In his room?! Just them! Alone! A girl! ...Oh, Goddess, wait, a girl!! He couldn't do that! He didn't understand it that well, but.. but Jacob had told him enough for him to know he was expected to be a real man and.. stuff.. He wasn't ready to be a real man! ( Even if some parts of him were~ ) “N-n-n-nuh..! He tried to say again, his words failing him exponentially worse this time as worse thoughts flooded his head. A combination of fears, embarrassment, shame, and, most of all, nausea. He felt his gut twisting overwhelmingly and his face blanched in a stark contrast of the cherry red of before just as he finally managed to get something out – along with a groan. “N.. No, I.. um, er, uh.. I-I-I feel s-sick and.. I-I don't want to get y-you sick, so.. s-so, you can.. go h-home?” He pursed his lips, but he didn't have the tenacity to shove her off of him, but that also went with hugging her back. Nope, Junior was left to stand perfectly still and pray that she would just leave him alone.
