Cam almost laughed. She'd meant it as a joke, but it seemed Keith was taking her seriously. "Well there's a spring in the woods, but for the best effect the ocean would be most effective." She looked outside their shelter and shuddered a bit. "Which is not a place I would want to be at this moment, even if the storm is dying down. The ocean is known for being unpredictable in all things, especially storms."

He nodded in agreement. Going there now is something we would not want to be doing at the time. In fact the ocean really wouldn't be the place he would choose for a fun in the sun type of thing. He would prefer a lake over the ocean any day.
"In fact... I wouldn't really choose the ocean at all..." He looked down at her. "I'm not much of a shark lover..."
Looking out side he noticed that the rain had stopped coming down hard. Now it was nothing more then just a light drizzle. He smiled over at her.
"Looks like its letting up. If you like we can venture out now or we can wait a little longer."

"Maybe just a little longer," Cam responded. "Around the ocean, you can never tell which way the weather will go. It might get worse again." To distract herself from that thought she latched on to something Keith said. "So you don't like oceans overall, or is it only the things that swim in them?"

"Alright." Keith smiled. "I see no harm in staying here longer. It is allot better in here the out." His ears went back at the thought of the storm getting worse if they had been out there. "Agreed. Ocean and storm bad." Keith then chuckled at what she had said about him and oceans. "Well mostly... the things in them."

"They aren't all that bad on calm days. I'm not one for swimming around much away, but I like to walk around in the water 'til it's touching my belly. It's so clear down by the beach you can easily see where you'd be stepping." Cam's smile was gentle though; she understood what fears were like. As far as she knew the Bateau Tribe was the only one who lived in any kind of harmony with the ocean itself. Other's simply lived near it or visited it. The vast majority of foxes in the world, it seemed, preferred to not swim in the deep ocean either.

He smiled as he listened to her talk about how she liked the ocean. She had a way with words and could see why she would be a keeper of stories and history. She would be able to tell it well.
"I don't mind walking in the water. Its just uhhh..." he blushed a little as he looked away. "I uhh... I don't much care whats in the ocean because well..." It had been a wile before he had confessed this to some one. "Im not really...a good swimmer."

Cam smiled softly, leaning over and gently nuzzling her head under Keith's chin. "It's nothing to be ashamed of. I'm not the best of swimmers myself, I prefer being able to feel solid land under my paws." She pulled back and looked up at the blue male. "You might enjoy walking along the beach though. You can see all the animals out in the deep water, and all the amazing waves. There are beautiful shells in the sand too, and it's just firm enough from water that your feet aren't forever sinking in the shifting sands."

Keith rested his head on hers.
"Oh good... Im glad to know im not the only one who favors land." He chuckled softly. He liked the fell of her close to him. He had never felt this attached to a female... and one he just met. He smiled as he wrapped his tail around her. "I think id like. The beach sounds good. I think id also like wadding out in the water too... just do long as I don't get swept out." sweatdrop

Cam bit her lip. She hated the fact that Keith might be feeling uncomfortable, not after he'd helped her through her own bout of terror. "We could find a river instead," she suggested. "I know there's one in the forest, about as close to us as the ocean. Nothing but fish in there."

"Sounds good." He smiled. "I don't have a problem with rivers." His tail wagged lightly. "And wile were there we could have lunch. Im not a bad fish catcher." He then blinked and and looked over at her. "I mean... if you like fish that is..." he had forgot to even ask her if she liked fish.

Another soft laugh threatened to escape her, but Cam managed to hold it back. Keith looked adorable when he was unsure, it really way endearing. Still she hastened to assure him, "That's sounds lovely. I'm not good for much but telling stories, but our hunters bring home fish sometimes. On occasion the ocean will even wash something to the shallows, so I have the honor to say I've tasted fresh and salt water fish." Now the chuckle did escape her.

Keith blushed at her chuckle. It really was the cutest thing he had ever heard. Though he was hoping that her laugh was something good and he didn't just make himself look like an idiot once again. Of course when she spoke about having fish before his ears perked up.
"Oh... well thats good then. I was worried that you might not have had fish before... and well... if you haven't had it before I was worried you might not like it." He blushed again and looked away. He was rambling again. He really hated himself for having a hard time talking with girls.

Cam smiled and lightly nudged Keith's shoulder with her own. "Never hurts to try something new. Looks like the rain's letting up." And it was true, outside the drips that sounded now came from the trees where their leaves had collected the rain to pour down after the storm had passed. The air had that moist, fresh scent to it, and was even a little warm for all that winter was getting closer.

He thought about what she had said for a moment and agreed.
"Your right. It never hurts." He smiled back at her then looked up at the clear way. The rain was no longer falling and the wind had let up a bit. "Looks like it has..." He looked over at her. "It sure is beautiful after a storm." he smiled as he looked on at the rainbow that had formed.

There was a slight nervous edge to Cam's smile. "It is, but I could give it up if that meant no more storms." She shook her head as though dislodging the thought and slowly padded forward. The ground beneath her feet was springy and damp, the water that pressed against her pad cold. The scents in the forest were always more intense after the rain, and she stopped just to sniff at the air for a bit.
