Ara snorted. "It never ceases to amaze me. You can take a slash anywhere on your body without blinking, but I mess with your ears and you wail like a kit." She laid her head on the ground over one of Odi's paws. "I can see it now. Children mobbing you and the Ear-Pulling Mother coming to the rescue." Ara snorted again, this time in amusement.

"Well last time I checked ears aren't a normal place to get attacked." He growled slightly not at her but at the comment making him seem weak. The last person he ever want to think of him as weak was his mate.
A small smile crossed his face desipt him wanting to keep up his dislike at the comment. "They wouldn't dare! Not when they can bite there mother's beloved tail."

"Maybe not for you, but when you're not so strong, like me, it's better to go for the tender spots. Ears aren't very well-protected.
She chuckled, lightly thumping Odi in the side with her tail. "A bush tail might be better protected from nipping, but it'll hurt a lot more if it hits you."

The new information that his mate gave him made him realize that all foxes had tender points. His were the things he used for hunting. "True, so I guess next time I get in a fight I forfeit because they can bite my ears." He said smartly as he lifted his head to look at his side.
"Mom always said females had whips for tails to keep males in check." He chuckled as he turned to give her a n** on the side. "But I say it's to keep make a good pillow."

"Have I ever told you it's funny when you're being sarcastic," Ara asked, amusement coloring her tone. The fight comment she was sure was sarcasm, but the pillow thing was a toss. If Odi meant the tip of her tail, then she could agree. She whipped the flexible apendage around so that the fluffy end of it lightly flicked Odi's ears, and grinned.

"No you haven't, do you find me or what I say funny?" he questioned her letting her amusement sink into him. Odi gave a slight yawn as he felt her suddenly hit his ears and he smiled back.
"Know what? I been working so much I haven't had a nap." He said as he stood up knocking her from his paws and moved to lay his head the fluffy part of her tail.

Ara rolled her eyes, but held back the retort that bubbled to her lips. Shame, it might have even been amusing.
"How 'bout I say both, since it's true enough." She gave her tail an expiremental flick. The muscles all flexed, but there was no movement since it was thoroughly pinned down by Odi. Ara could have stood up to pull it away, but she wanted Odi to get some rest.

As Odi rested his head on his mate a chuckled escaped his throat as the thought crossed his mind, before he met his life mate he hated being around others.
Now though, he had a pack who he would die for and a beautiful mate. "Ara...if I die. Would you bury me by the sea were we met?"

"If you die before me, yea, I will," she promised. "Far enough back where there's actually dirt instead of sand, but close enough that you get a nice view." Ara smiled, but it was wistful rather than happy. Both of them were so young now, it was hard to envision the hazy "someday" when they would both be old and rickety, waiting for Death to welcome them to his tribe.

"Thank you...also can you put a bush between me and the open portion of it? I don't want to be scared back to life by those monsters..." He gave a playful swipe at the sky for a moment as he remember how he ran like a kit that day.
To him death was always lurking around the corner and with his violent tendencies he pictured himself dying young. However with Ara and possible kits one day he wouldn't mind slowing down to be with them longer.

Ara snorted. "I'll do you one better than that! I'll find that bush you used as a shield that one day."
She herself wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her remains when she died. It seemed most fitting to her that she should just disappear one day. Maybe she'd dig herself a small next or something by that bush as well and just take her final rest there. She wouldn't just have to hope insects picked her bones clean before scavengers got to her.
Ara shuddered slightly. The subject was a bit morbid for her tastes.

A smile crossed his face as he thought about that bush. He had to admit, that was defiantly not the best move on his part. "I might actually like that." He said as he rolled over and moved to lay beside her to listen to her heart beat.
"Well...death will come one day. But...until then how about you and me just enjoy each others time? Like one day we could take our kits their and you can teach them how to swim. Of course I'll stay on land make sure no whale comes on the beach."

Ara couldn't help but chuckle, dipping her head to lick Odi between the ears. "Oh? And what are you going to do, fight it off? Not even all of Cruor could take down a whale.
I agree that little ones should know how to swim though. We'll work our way up to oceans though, the currents are far more dangerous."

"Who said fight love? I'm going to yell 'Whale!' and run the other way. I'm sure you guys could protect yourselves." He playful as he pushed his head into her side. "I'll tell Sin, 'See what had happened was!'" He voice raised high jokingly as he pictured the look Sin would of gave him.
His smile got larger as he already saw Ara taking on a more motherly protection to her talk about kits. "There our kits. They'll be tough like me and fearless like you. I think the ocean would be afraid of them."

"Which justs means they'll be even more of a handful," Ara retorted, plopping her head on the ground. The thought of kits with Odi's drive and her boldness made her shudder slight. "What terrors would we unleash upon the poor world," she teased.
