Kimeti Name: Red Herring Number of Kimeti: 20 Kimeti Gender: CC Inspirational Image: 1, 2, 3Why this moth/butterfly: European Peacock: Surprisingly, it's not green. I'm PMSing and red is highly sexy right now. Additional Info: Always in a flurry and very little is known about its personality. The more it talks, the more the subject thinks he or she knows the speaker and is lulled in. Has impeccable stock of idioms, gossip and prophecies. Master spin doctor. The sky's gonna fall in 2012 right? Let this kimeti stay and help you prepare.. for a small fee.

Kimeti Name: Vivid Veins Number of Kimeti: One lovely girl Kimeti Gender: I think... I sort of see a buck, but really, Colorist's Choice :'3 Either way would be pretty cool. Inspirational Image: Shazam [You have to scroll down a bit to find it in the first link. D': Sorry. Why this moth/butterfly: Well, honestly, I wasn't sure I'd even have one to contribute to the contest. Then, the other day, people were mentioning that there aren't many red Kimeti, and it made me wonder if there would be a nice red butterfly/moth that could be put up for consideration. So, I went looking. I came across a lot that I liked, but I thought this one was really cool, and I liked that rather than red and black, this one is predominantly white, with black stripes and red vein-y accents. :'D I just thought it was a pretty cool lookin' moth. Plus... I like the feel he gives. Bright, but sort of vulnerable and still dark. It's cool... xD; Additional Info: As the links say, this is the Red-Tailed Specter Moth -- I think that's a pretty cool name, as well. I'm not yet sure about this Kimeti, but I don't think s/he talks much -- not necessarily because s/he's shy, s/he just... doesn't like to talk much. xD; Yet, at the same time, is really bold and confident... I'd probably know more about him/her once s/he came out.

Kimeti Name: Scale-Wing Number of Kimeti: 20 Kimeti Gender: Colorist's Choice Inspirational Image: x Why this moth/butterfly: I like large insects. Also, I like the colors and eye-spots are epic. Additional Info: It's an oak silk moth. I can't find the original picture I had of them, that more resembled the shape and size as represented in Animal Crossing: Wild World. But the colors are there, which is just as important to me.

Kimeti Name: Whispering Dusk Number of Kimeti: 5 Kimeti Gender: Colorists choice please <3 Inspirational Image: X x X Why this moth/butterfly: I was actually looking for a different butterfly when I came across this species and couldn't help but admire the muted steel blues, the black stripes and their aloof behavior. Additional Info: Queen Flasher butterfly. Like Dusk, these butterflies are quite laid back, found in early morning basking on tree trunks in the lowland rainforests, and later in the day quite happy, even in moderate conditions, to bask on rocks, stones logs and even the forest floor itself. Once upon the ground for any length of time, these butterflies are often relunctant to move, and will remain usually until dusk, even if in drizzle or light rain.

Kimeti Name: My Bleeding Heart (if this is alright) Number of Kimeti: None Kimeti Gender: colorist's choice Inspirational Image: x I apologize if someone asked for this one already. Why this moth/butterfly: Well, I've never seen this particular moth in Connecticut, but when I was younger I would sit out in the garden with my aunt and watch the butterflies.. she and my grandmother had this huge garden right in front of the porch with many types of flowers, and we saw tons and tons of different ones. Sadly both relatives have passed away since then and the garden is not what it used to be.. upon stopping by this spring I found the bleeding heart bush that has been there since my dad was a child, in full bloom and towering over the weeds that had taken over. Both my aunt and grandmother loved both flowers and bright colors, so I found this moth and thought it fit. Additional Info: It is chrysiridia rhipheus, the Madagascan Sunset Moth. 'Heart' would be a wandering kimeti with a free soul, mind open to strangers and willing to listen to their stories.

Kimeti Name: Moments Gone Number of Kimeti: 3, with one on the way from a breeding (that i didn't know about xD) Kimeti Gender: CC (but preferably Buck) Inspirational Image: [X] [X] Why this moth/butterfly: It fascinated me that this butterfly doesn't go up to colorfull, "pretty-smelling" plants to survive, it uses a weed, the shrimp plant, which is common in Florida(where my mother, and my heart, resides). Additional Info: -The moth is called a Malachite Butterfly -Naming Dream: Open your eyes, do not blink. Take in everything around you, Do not close your eyes. Do not let this moment pass, Or else it will b---gone.

Kimeti Name: Wings of a Bird. Number of Kimeti: Two: an adult doe and a buck sac. Kimeti Gender: Colorist Choice. Inspirational Image: [x] [o] [x] Why this moth/butterfly: The green birdwing is highly variable, undoubtedly beautiful, and one of my favorite butterflies. <3 Additional Info: This is Ornithoptera priamus, the Common Green Birdwing butterfly. It is a very variable species, inhabitating islands along the south pacific, with 99 identified subspecies. They're all iridescent on their lighter wing parts, and those panels are often green, but may sometimes be blue. If hybrids occur, they may resemble either parent, or have an intermediate between the two. Feel free to interpret it however you think would best suit this kimeti!
Naming Dream: The last fleeting chance of hesitation passes by, without remorse. The will to take wing and fly takes over. These urges must be followed.
Borne on the wind, like the wings of a bird. So fragile, and so fleeting. Trusting that what cannot be seen will keep me from falling to the ground.

Kimeti Name: Snow Drop Number of Kimeti: Uh. Fifteen. Kimeti Gender: Doe~ Inspirational Image: [ ♚] [ ♚] [ ♚] Why this moth/butterfly: Honestly. I was looking for a butterfly I could offer up which would result in a Kimeti that would match a name I've been wanting to use for a while. That name and Snow Drop have been duking it out for next Kimeti I get, but. 8D I found this one first. And good god is it a pretty little thing. Seriously. Those patterns. So pretty. Additional Info: This is a Marbled White Butterfly~ Snow Drop would be a Kimeti that is all sugar and sweetness on the outside but wouldn't have much of a conscience. Which isn't to say she's a "bad" Kimeti, just sort of... has a personal agenda.

Kimeti Name: Thread-of-Light Number of Kimeti: 2 Kimeti Gender: Colorist's choice Inspirational Image: 1 | 2 Why this moth/butterfly: The harnessed tiger moth always reminded me of a sporty swimsuit or race car or something, with the bright colors and contrasty geometric lines. Additional Info: He or she would be an active kimeti, focused firmly on self-improvement, though his or her naming dream speaks much more of serenity - lazy afternoon sun in the summer poking between flowers and leaves to illuminate faint fog along the ground.

Kimeti Name: Splash Number of Kimeti: 10 Kimeti Gender: Would prefer a doe, but CC is fine. Inspirational Image: [x] [x]Why this moth/butterfly: Not quite as flashy as a lot of colorful butterflies, but I like how the different colors give the black a smattering of intermittent color and interesting pattern. It really grabbed my eye. I like the shape of the wings of the swallowtail too. Additional Info: This is a Purple-Spotted Swallowtail. The second image seems to be a bit more normal for the butterfly, but the first one is what grabbed me more. XD As for personality, I think Splash would be a very hyper kimeti who cannot sit still for long, constantly on the go, exploring new things, but never staying in one spot for too long before moving on once again. Many other kimeti would have seen her(or him), but would likely not know much about her (or him).
