The assistant looks down at the ground. "Y-y-you came for a starter pokemon...?" aks the assistant.

Tatum looks behind the assistant and sees that there are no pokeballs where the starters should be. "Oh I'm too late?" Tatum says diapointed "That's ok I'll just catch a mudkip sorry for wasting your time" Tatum walks out the door and Skarmory is waiting outside. "Alright Skar we were too late. Let's go to the closest town and get some food"

The assistant runs out of the lab. "You can't catch a Mudkip because they're rare...you'll have to ask someone who has one to bred it for you..." shouted the assistant.

Tatum turns aroud "Really? hmm.." Tatum thinks for a moment. "I'll find someone I'm sure of it" Tatum says as she climbs on Skarmory. "Would you happen to have a map?"

The assistant begins to think for a moment. "Yes I do...I'll be right back!" The assistant runs inside and grabs a poke ball, a Town Map, and a Pokedex. "Here you go! I felt sorry about not having any starters left so I will give you a Ditto...and since you are in Hoenn you should complete the Pokedex!" said the assistant.

Tatum looks at the items in her hand that the assistant gave her. she smiles "Thank You! I really appriciate it." Tatum looks at Skarmory "Ok so we need to go..." Tatum looks at her new map. "That way!" Skarmory takes off in the direction that Tatum points. Tatum looks back and waves at the assistant.

Professor Birch isn't in his lab, but his assistant smiles and bows. "Of course." He walks to the shelf and takes a PokeDex, then goes and hands it to Henry. "Take good care of it."

Another of Professor Birch's assistants runs out side with a Town Map. "Here...you are going to need this." said the assistant as he handed Henry the Town Map.
