Runaiu easily escaped the water, shaking her fur and glowering at Mercury. "What? Did you really expect me to stay there much longer?" She questioned, snorting in amusement. She couldn't tell if he was angry, scared, or just being a kit. Probably was over it, she could remember what she was like as a kit. Easy to put things aside. When did it change? Maybe the day when...
'Don't think about that!' Her eyes flashed briefly before she looked at Mercury, her memories fading away slowly. She smirked, flicking her tail at him, water droplets flung directly his way.
((About Dakari, I was wondering what position he would have in Cruor? Also, I was wondering if he would play with Harvest when he's aged?))

The tinest of butt wiggles was the only warning he gave; Mercury pounced! At this close it was impossible to miss, though if Runaiu had spotted him and dodged he would either land on her back, tail, or a front leg rather than her neck scruff. It was close enough to her head to satisfy his mini revenge, but not actually anywhere that would scuff up fur.
((Hard to say, Dakari's personality isn't as strong as the other's cause I can't rp him yet. He'd probably be good for a scout or hunter. I'll read through the positions and put some thought into it, try to get a feel for Dakari and where he'd best fit in after he's an adult. And yea, he'd be up for playing with others : )
EDIT: Hunter, Gatherer, and Scout sound most like Dakari. Scout or Gatherer more likely than Hunter.))

Unlike her siblings she was not a fighter at heart, startled by the movement and quickly ducking and moving. However, Mercury did land on her tail, and the fox whipped around in shock, letting out a fierce growl. "What the?! How dare you rainbow fluff!" She wailed, nipping his ear. A smile twitched on her lips despite the annoyance she was feeling from him messing her fur up, even if he didn't scuff the fur. She pawed at him, hoping to roll the little thing over. Really, he had such energy and no one to share it with. It as slightly sad.
"Hey runt?" Her voice changed, a more questioning tone now.

Mercury let Runaiu's paw push him over on his back, next to her. He giggled a little; this was fun! "Yea," he asked, curious.

Runaiu smiled a rare smile at him, sighing before withdrawing her paw. He needed a regular, stable life full of interactions and play. She had seen foxes that have been denied that life before, she herself was one. And, he wasn't to young, he would be grown soon. "You need a mother." She managed to croak out, ears flipping. "I'm not saying I can be one for you. I hardly am capable of filling that role. But, would you like to tag along with me? Until you are older, of course." She questioned, looking at him full on now. "I move about a lot, and get...lonely I guess. And I hardly think you are happy alone here. I'm not forcing you, you could leave whenever you wanted." She could only wonder what Mercury would say to her. Probably a protest.

Mercury looked up at her, gold eyes unreadable as thoughts passed through his mind. He sat for a minute in silence.
"Wouldn't having a kit with you slow you down," he finally asked. "I can't move as far or as fast. 'M too little to be good at hunting." Mercury looked down at the ground. He could see no benefits for Runaiu, to take him in. It would just mean more work for her.

"I'll teach you. And it would, but... I wouldn't mind." She offered a rare smile, nudging Mercury. "We are both alone, why not?" She wanted him to say yes, she didn't know why but she wanted the kit to travel with her for a bit. She wanted someone to talk to. She wanted someone to make the loneliness go away. Just for a little.

Runaiu smirked at his smile, nodding. "Yes you feather brain. You may leave whenever you want. Until then you can accompany me." She didn't think she would ever be asking someone to travel with her, never the less a kit! But he was cute, and she didn't mean that in a romantic way. No. She meant that in a look-at-the-cute-kit way. She truly wanted to give this kit something he most likely never had before, a person to help tell him what was okay and what to expect from life. She was not hoping to be a mother. No. She was hoping to give the kit something she never had.

Runaiu rolled her eyes, nudging the fox. She was glad, she had to admit. The female looked about before nudging him once more. "Well, you remind me of a pidgin." She mused back, flipping her tail about. "Or a seagull."

She liked the feeling of a kit leaning against her, wondering what it was like to be a mom. The female nearly died right then and there, realizing how sappy she had become as of late. This so wasn't her! She didn't go around thinking about being a...a...mother! Her eyes flicked downwards and on Mercury, smirking again. Well, she had taken the job of protecting this little guy.
"Would you like to leave now, or rest?"

Even if Mercury had been tired he had too much excitement running through him. As it was, "No, I was napping before you found me. Not tired at all!"

Runaiu smirked yet again, nodding. "Well then, lets be off. We are heading for the mountains." She said before standing and brushing her tail over her body, removing all dirt and muck. She gave Mercury an are-you-coming looking before padding off towards the water to steal a drink, and then she would be off. Off to go explore some more with her new partner. She knew she was just asking for trouble. She would not be able to stop herself from comparing his beautiful fur to her own plain fur, and she would feel ugly compared to him. But, his company was...different. She liked having a friend. Thats what he was, right? A friend? She could call him that, right?
