When I was in Spanish class, everyone was given a "Spanishized" version of their name. So Peter was Pedro, John was Juan, etc...

Of course, with Marlowe, there is no Spanish equivalent. So my teacher said that I could pick whichever name I wanted. I picked Guadalupe Maria Montoya (try saying that really fast). I insisted that everyone refer to me by my full Spanish name while in Spanish class. My teacher thought it was absolutly hilarious smile

It's probably kinda like Anne(Anna) Christine in English...maybe in French, too.

I don't think this is that off-topic but...Did anyone ever here of that child's doll a while back, named Baby Shou Shou? Or something like that. Did you know that shou shou in Polish is how you would say pee pee to a little child. Like(translated) "Do you have to go shou shou?"

Its aweful, weird and funny at the same time. neutral I hate it when companies don't research the product name. Does anyone know another example of this?

I have another, and I'm pretty sure its true 'cause I heard it from a reliable source. Okay, when Coca Cola first dayviewed in India, they made the cans and bottles white. Months went by and no one was buying. Why? Because in India white is the color of death. So the company found this out and changed it immediately. I can't believe that would happen!

So, those of you who have spent a longer period of time in a country, what is the most popular name there? I find these things very interesting...
