Ryven Diazen IV The Earth Wielder --------------------- "Go. I will watch over you," --------------------- Ryven felt almost insulted by the Demon, and his upper lip quivered as an inaudible growl rumbled his throat and his hands clenched into steel balls at his sides. Then with a deep breath, he washed himself of his tension as best he could before he replied. “I won’t pretend to understand your reasons,” He started, his voice holding a bitter tone. “Nor will I try and understand what they are any longer. As long as your quest brings no harm to my kinship, I won’t stand in your way. But I will say this,” He turned his body, extending his arm to point at the Demon with a clawed finger. “If your war on Earth spreads to Grek, and you put my kin in danger, I will hunt you down and put an end to your existence,” he put his arm down, and held the Demons gaze for a moment longer. “Even at the cost of my own.”
A blinding light took over his senses, so intense he snapped his eyes shut and threw his arm over his eyes to protect them, as an explosion sounded from feet ahead of him and his body felt as if it had been struck by pure force. He stumbled back, dropped his arm, tried to shake the ringing from his ears, and then looked at the charred smoking ground where a lightening bolt had struck. His head snapped towards the cloudless sky, and he could feel his tribe stirring back at the encampment. His mind could find only two answers to where the bolt had come from: God, or the Demon; and considering the bolt hadn’t hit him directly; it was more likely to be a message from God.
His face reverted back to a voiding dull, and his gaze moved from the pale blue sky to the Demon. He held the Demon’s gaze wordlessly, placed his closed fist on his chest, and made a purposely slow bow to the ghost, his face hardening in determination after he rose. “We’ll leave on good terms, Demon. I won’t stand against you if I have no reason to. I suggest you keep it that way,”

The Grekken's hostility was to be expected. Haiden had little interest, at this point, in making a friend. By the beast's suspicious questioning, Haiden had already realized that it would be impossible. Besides, the only use the Grekken could be to him would be to travel to Earth with him, which in actuality could cause far more trouble than it was worth. Especially considering he probably didn't even know how to reach a human form yet. Besides food, most Grekkens here didn't ever see humans, and by the time they did their bodies were so burnt and mangled they hardly resembled their true forms.
Before he could say a word, a blinding light struck the ground between them. Haiden's fury raged within him, and the body of his spirit flickered with the irritation. Still, he remained more calm in his features. Meddling Angels. Haiden knew God well enough not to think it was his doing. After all, His hand hardly ever moved. It was the Angels who did everything. Which was a flaw in God's reasoning. If he knew what was best, he would not let sentient beings make decisions for him. Despite their sinless-ness, the Angels were flawed.
"So be it," Haiden said, reaching out his arm to his side. With his mind, he lifted the sword from the ground until the hilt of it rested firmly in his palm. Gripping the weapon tightly, he turned to head off. In the distance, he could see a crowd of spirits headed toward them. His men, no doubt, drawn in by the strike of light on the planet. He would explain it all to them in no time.
Leido was far ahead of the others, having stood watch closeby. "Regalia is not here," he said, sounding as though he didn't know if that was a good or bad thing at this point.
"I know," Haiden replied, hurrying past him, spirit gliding over the dead surface of the planet. "Ready the men. We fight alone tonight."
"You didn't tell him?"
Haiden turned around, red fury burning in his eyes as his astral form flickered violently. "Tell him what? The selfish beast could not care less about our problems, and I could not care less for his. If Lucifer strikes us down, he would be glad for it. If the Master's forces go toward that camp," he said, pointing toward the Grekkens who were now very far away, "Then we may just be able to leave this planet before they come for us too."
Of course he hadn't told the Grekken of Regalia. Had the other been a little kindlier, perhaps he would have warned them of the possible attack. Lucifer would take down anyone if there was reason to. If Regalia convinced him to come after the Fah'Rang, no doubt they would be going after that tribe next. It would prevent word of the war to come, and Lucifer was probably planning his own chaos anyway.

Amaiya had only just gotten within sight of the small motel where the few things she had in this city were at. She never stayed in one place too long, and didn't have many possessions on this planet that she needed to keep with her. Granted, she owned her own houses, in different parts of the world, but it was more as a cover than anything. Different names on each bit of property she had gotten, all thanks to this planet's governments and their overly-accommodating manner towards outright threats. Morons.
No sooner did the small dimly-lit building come into her vision, Amaiya's body tensed instinctively. A drunk human hurried toward her, foot tripping every so often on things that didn't exist. Her attention was hardly on him, though. There was someone here, too close for comfort, a spirit, who was it? Her mind raced as she tried to pinpoint where the feeling was coming from. At the same time, the man came up to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
"Hey, buh-baybee, you wanna come-n be mah dayte?" he slurred slowly.
Mai, no witty remarks for once, shoved the man away from herself. "Quiet, pest," she said, eyes darting about suspiciously.
Suddenly, she turned around, just before a spirit made its landing. Funny, she didn't recognize him, but he felt familiar.
The drunk man replied, "Come-n nnnow, no need to play hardtagit, I just wanna..." Mai wasn't paying him any attention, though, and the human couldn't see the spirit who was there.
His wings were still in tact, she noticed. An Angel, then. There were very few Damned on Grek who were able to keep their innocent appearance, let alone the scent of holiness. Definitely an angel. Oh, this was going to be fun.
"Hello, Amaiya," the being said, sickeningly softly and with a feigned sound of love in his voice. Pity was more like it, but she didn't mind. It just made him sound weaker, more pathetic.
"...and then maybe we could..." the man behind her continued.
Spikes grew from Mai's arm in but a moment, and she turned around quickly. The spikes went right through the man's neck as his eyes went wide and he began choking on the blood oozing from his pale lips. Turning back to face the Angel, bleeding human still alive and stuck on her arm, though now on his knees trying to remove the built-in weapon from his throat, Mai smiled warmly.
"I don't believe we've met," she said in her most friendly fake voice, reaching out her other hand to shake the Angel's. It was more of a form of mockery than anything, considering he had no physical form. Giggling to herself a little, as though she hadn't realized this at first, she lowered her hand. "Silly me. What can I do for you?" she asked, pushing the human off of her arm with one leg. The body fell to the ground almost instantly, gurgling for a moment before going completely still. Someone would notice in the morning. But, she would be back on Grek by then. Business, as always.

Rade
"My blade is others' shield." Rade metally kicked himself for not doing anything to help the people trapped in the building. "What's wrong with me!?!?" he yelled into the air. Then gripping his cane tighter Rade ran as fast as he could to get his medical supplies then, when he got back, Rade ran around the building looking for an entrance. He spotted the opening Lily had run into, he got a sample of the strange smoke, then put on his rebreather before running into the building. He could feel the smoke begining to decay his skin, but he didn't care as he ran through the building. Someone grabbed his foot, he bent down and inspected them, making sure they were still alive he picked the guy up and hoisted him over his shoulder before running out of the building, taking the man a good distance from the building he set the man down propped against a wall. Rade did another quick health inspection then ran into the building looking for more survivors.

Alekos "Al" Sardraken "You're puny, you know that?"
Al had caught sight of the man, but it was not in his intentions to save him, not this time anyways. He would protect those who protected God's plan. Anyone else would be better off in Heaven or left to wander bodiless. "Your ruthlessness precedes you. Though it is a fatal flaw. No, not fatal to you, but to your cause." Al began to converse with her after not even giving a single budge to notice her hand. Though, he moved his head to watch the man fall to the ground and lay lifeless. Al knelt, with the grace of gazelle to help the man's spirit become level with the ground. Al knew how hard it would be for him to understand his new existence, and so helped him start his journey. "Get far away from this place. I don't know if you can make it to Heaven, but try." He told the man before redirecting his attention to Amaiya.
"No, we have not met. At least, you have not met me." He addressed to Amaiya, keeping a solemn tone. "My name is Alekos Sardraken, and I am an angel." He told her almost robotically. He was aware of the fact that she knew what he was, and he didn't have to say that. He merely did it to annoy her, because he knew she hated it when people thought they are better than her. Al knew he is better than her. "I've come to ask you a very simple question, and that is all." He added, and waited for her to address him.

Ryven Diazen IV The Earth Wielder --------------------- "Go. I will watch over you," --------------------- Once the Demon’s presence faded in the distance, and the eerie chill crept out of his spine, Ryven relaxed in the baking sun, turning his head towards the sky with closed eyes. Turning on his feet, he opened his eyes and set them on his tribe who all stood on their feet, weapons unformed, their stares locked on him. With steady steps he started to walk back to them, his mind tumbling in silent chaos. Ryven didn’t have the slightest idea of what was going to happen now, with the Demon’s ready to strike Earth, and God’s now known presence within his own path. One thing he knew for certain though was that his travels would have been better spent in the other direction.
As he walked into the encampment, his tribe stalked him with hungry eyes, but said nothing as he passed them. Walking through the entire camp without a word, he approached the oasis’ pond and knelt on both knees, lowering his snout into the water. He opened his maw and took a powerful gulp of the scorching hot water, and felt it burn down his throat and set fire to his belly. Then, slumping back, he took a rough seat with his legs outstretched to just before the water’s limits, supporting his torso up with his arms. 'A waste. I should have made the trip myself, but then again; if it weren’t for my kin I don’t think this encounter would have been the same.’
“Chieftain Earth Wielder.” A rough, uncontrollably fierce voice came from behind him, and Ryven physically lifted himself back into his current situation and away from his personal thoughts as he turned around. The Grekken who spoke was one of the Wind Wakers, but not one of the two who had gone hunting. This one had been practically silent since his kin joined his tribe for their travels. “What have you discovered?”
“A band of ghosts, the Fah’Rang, are going to invade Earth in an attempt to seize it from His creations.” Ryven answered monotonously, not sure how to take interest in it. “I’ve decided that we Earth Wielders will not stand in their way, so long as none of us come to harm because of it.”
“And what of the lightening strike? Was that not a hostile act from the Demon?” The Waker inquired humbly.
“That’s for me to know. Now, you should return to your Chief with what I’ve discovered, so he may prepare as he wishes.” Ryven watched as the Grekken hesitated, then placed his closed fist on his chest and bowed his head. The Grekken spoke quick words of respect and parting, then turned and joined the rest of his tribe who had already gathered to leave. Without any delay, they set out.
Once the Wakers were at a good distance, his tribe gathered close to him, and Ryven gathered all of his scrambling thoughts for them. “I’ve never seen a direct act of God, not in all my time on this planet. I was born into this world of chaos, and was taught by my father how to survive in it without losing my humanity to the chaos, and I thought you to do the same. But now we are faced with something that could potentially change our world, for the better, or for the worse.” He took a look around the crowd, and almost sighed. “We’ll move from here to the Nephilim, to see my forefathers’ forefather. He will know what to make of this. For now, rest. I will say when it is time.”
Unquestioning, but with a hint of hesitation, his tribe broke away from him, and he retook his seat by the pond bay. Looking into the cloudless sky, he let his mind drift while he rested.

The same thick green coating that had killed those in the hotel was now covering every body in this place. Some of them, their flesh was rotting away. The Grekkens, though, Lily could see were not effected the same way. Not all of them, anyway.
Finding life was hard here. She listened closely for any sounds people might be making, but over the loud music it was impossible. Hurrying back outside, she didn't even notice the human who was pulling people in and out of there. She had to alert someone to what was going on. Flipping out a cellphone from her pocket, Lily tapped her foot anxiously as it rang.
"You've reached 911 emergency hotline. Please hold."
Flipping the phone shut, Lily mumbled to herself, "Useless," as she dialed another number.
"Ungh, Lily, it's 5 in the morning. What do you want this time?" said a man's voice on the other end. Yeah, her boss was probably getting pretty sick of her calling him.
"There's been another attack," she said hurriedly into the phone.
She could hear a rustling on the other end, then her boss's voice sounding more intrigued now. "I'm on my way. Where are you?"
She told him the location, and almost immediately he hung up the phone. There would be a few people with him ready to write a report. Knowing Mr. Dibbs, he wouldn't want the cops there until after he had informatin. He was like her, curious to know the truth, even when they weren't allowed to report it.

After Rade had pulled everyone out of the bar, well everyone whose flesh hadn't started rotting anyway, he frantically began working on an antidote using his traveler's briefcase and the sample he had collected earlier. After a few minutes Rade had managed to make a repellent, it wouldn't save anyone it would merely suppress the already present potion. After he had treated everyone that he had dragged out he gave himself a shot. He went to Lily and handed her the needle with enough left in it for her to use. "Give yourself a shot now." he ordered her. He had made sure to steralize the needle in a thermos of hot water he carried with him.
Out of the 20 or so that Rade had dragged out of the Bar only 7 had lived long enough to be saved by the suppressent. The other 13 had disentigrated into nothingness. Rade left the sleeping survivors without a word, he left quickly and to aviod any conversation with the lady he had given the syringe to. He made his way to the city cemetary and in a back corner carved 13 slashes into a fence post using his cane sword. These unlucky 13 slashes sat next to 57 others lining the same fence post. "70 Innocent lives I couldn't save." Rade said to himself as he sheathed his cane sword and began his dreary walk home.
When Rade reached 'home', which it hardly qualified as, it was a deserted room that noone, not even the hobos, dared occupy for it was believed to be haunted. Rade thought the room suited him as he never wanted to forget the lives he couldn't save. Near his bed, which was little more then a matress and a sheet, Rade propped his cane sword for easy access in the night, he slid his breifcase behind a dusty wardrobe, and fell asleep, his clothes still on.
((EDIT: Explained how Rade left, also fixed the spelling on access.))

To her cause? She laughed to herself at this. The Angel really didn't know as much as he thought. What she did here on Earth was hardly her own purposes. Granted, it seemed to be working out well for her, but the humans were destroying themselves. She was just helping them do it. It was, after all, her job.
As the man's spirit wandered aimlessly, Mai smiled still. It was good to know he hadn't been useful enough for her fathers to take him to Grek. At least, not yet. No way was his spirit pure enough to be granted entrance to Heaven, though. The Angel was obviously fooling himself, or not nearly as smart as he thought (which Mai was beginning to believe more and more as the moments passed).
As the Angel introduced himself, Mai held her adorable smile. The poor fool thought he was something worth recognizing. "A question? Oh, I'm sorry, I don't have time for questions. I thought you had wanted a fight," she said, a dark smile coming to her face as her eyes turned golden. "I always have time for a fight. But, not for questions," Mai said before turning around and ignoring the entity completely. Surely he wouldn't be stupid enough to follow her into her room. That would just be foolish, considering she would project her spirit immediately and then there would most certainly be a battle. Even if she couldn't kill the Angel's spirit, she could seriously weaken him. He wouldn't be able to make it back to Heaven then, and she would be able to bring him to Grek with her. Once there, the chances of him ever being able to leave were slim.
Entering her room, Mai ignored the being's presence and began getting ready for her trip in a few hours.[]EDIT[]

Haiden and his men gathered, far from the Grekken camp and having made great time. Lucifer's forces were nowhere to be seen, bu that did not mean that they weren't on their way. Luckily, morning was coming on Earth very soon. The Fah'Rang would just have to move to the planet sooner than they had anticipated.
After a short speech, leaving out the details of the threat that Haiden was constantly worried about, the men readied to form a portal large enough to carry them all through it. They had picked their city, targeted an audience where there was going to be a fair the next day. It would be the perfect place to enact their plan. The men would just have to be careful to grab the right bodies.
Unless Lucifer came very soon, the Fah'Rang could make it out. Or, unless there was some other interference.
((Sorry guys, I'm at a loss for words tonight. :/ Also, Lucid, it's "access".))

Lily took one look at the man who handed her the needle, demanding the take the shot, and her brow went down. Who did this guy think he was? Sure, she had seen him bringing people out of the building, but that didn't mean anything to her.
Tossing the needle on the ground, Lily was going to question him when he seemed to disappear, leaving behind 20 bodies of people from the building.
((Um, I really don't know how to respond to that, since you didn't really give me a chance to say anything back to your character.))

The tiny alarm clock on the table across the room went off. For such a small thing it was monstrously loud. Jack shot upright in his bed, attempting to draw one of the guns from his jacket. He had neglected to take them out to hide in his bag. The gun was out a bit slower than normal for him, but fast enough to deal with a break in. Jack turned to face the table with his arms extended and the gun pointed at the alarm clock. He held the position for maybe five seconds before he sighed, put the gun back in its holster and got up to go to the table.
When Jack got to the table he lifted the alarm clock up to see the time. It was five o'clock. With a quick tug, the clock stopped its loud alarm and turned off. Jack rolled the cable up, walked slowly to the other side of the room, opened the window, and tossed the cursed thing out of the window. The window slammed shut afterward.
A yawn escaped his Jack's mouth as he sat back down on the bed. He made loose fists with his hands before he brought them up to his eyes. As Jack rubbed his eyes crust from his sleep crushed and fell. Today the hunt for something that could kill him faster than he could count to two was to begin. Might as well start it off right.
Jack took off his jacket and put it on the bed. He slid the holster off his shoulders, then put them under the bed for a temporary hiding spot. It took five steps for Jack to make it to the bathroom door, and two more to get to the shower. He slid the shower curtain closed, then opened one side just enough for his head and one arm to stick through to turn on the hot water. He stuck his hand under the now running water, and waited for it to get hot enough for him. Once it was he turned the middle handle to make the water come out of the shower head.
Jack took his shirt off, then his pants, and finally his boxers before got in the shower. The hot water burned his skin, but to Jack it only felt good. His thoughts ran over many ideas of how to track down someone the could not only go to any country she wanted to, but also jump planets. His normal shower routine happened unconsciously as these kinds of thoughts continued. Jack knew one thing at least. Amaiya had been in town last night. She had something to do here, and hopefully it wasn't completed yet.

Doomed Lucid ((Suprisingly that is exactly what I was going for, See Rade helps anyone in need and so after he gave her the syringe she was no longer in need. Sorry for any confusion)) []Right, but you still didn't give her a chance to respond before you walked away. In a real life situation, you wouldn't have time to do all of the things that you did. If she wanted to say something to you before you left, or stop you, or throw candy at your head, or whatever, you completely deprived her of that opportunity by filling in the next ten or so minutes of your night. Also, if you're going to post OOC without writing for your character too, please keep it in the thread in the parlor.[] Through the windows of her room, she could see the sun's beautiful rays peeking through. Ah, the warmth. She could almost feel it already. How good it would feel to be home, where it was always warm. Though, she would have to be careful. It had been a long time since she'd been back to Grek.
The sun was obviously rising, which meant she was going to have to be on her way very soon. It was a pity, really, she had hoped to get one more job in before taking off, though Gordon's death would probably make that a more difficult task to procure. The one from the night before, the club, was done by now. The cops would be showing up any moment, probably from reports of an explosion nearby from some anonymous tipper or innocent bystander. The humans always found a way to get things into the news quickly enough, which Amaiya had been counting on when doing this job. The lives weren't so important as the attention it would get. Another terrorist bombing, and the humans go nuts over protecting themselves from the next angry explosion.
A timed bomb had been set up in the club, triggered to go off at sunrise. It served two purposes: To attract attention, and to cover up the truth. People had heard an explosion, so there must have been a bomb. Hardly, but that's what they would believe, and even that little knowledge would help bend and sway their actions. The humans would be too distracted by their distrust toward eachother, and eventually a war would break out. Meanwhile, Mai and her people would go on doing what they had always done...
Bags packed, Amaiya left the room. There wasn't a thing left in the room, and it was as if nobody had stayed there the night before. Actually, nobody had, at least not according to records. It was fairly easy to get her way when she didn't ask. No doubt some cleaning lady would come to the room in the morning and find the lock broken as though drilled. Another break-in, possibly a criminal hoping to find guests in that room, then leaving in disappointment. It was so stupid, the humans would have to believe it. She'd already made plans to have these cover-stories printed. The truth had been erased before it had even come to pass.
A taxi picked her up three blocks away, and began the half-hour drive to the airport.

Rade
"My only wish is that death were reversable, and therefore lust is my sin." Rade woke up and lay there looking at the ceiling, moving slowly Rade eventually came to a position of sitting on the edge of his 'bed.' Sighing Rade took off his doctor's coat then put both that and his cane behind the same dusty wardrobe his briefcase hid behind. After that was done Rade opened the wardrobe to reveal a revolver and a dagger, the revolver was never fully loaded and ussually only contained two bullets, the handle of it was scratched and the metal of the gun had scratches all over it. The dagger was as two dimensional as a dagger could get, the blade was 4 inches long and modeled in the shape of a Kris. Taking the dagger Rade closed the wardrobe, its warped wood banging together loudly as it slammed shut. Rade sat at the edge of his bed again, he slid his worn shoe off and slid the dagger into a small pocket inside the shoe, then, after making sure it was secure, Rade slid the shoe back on and headed off to work. On his way Rade spotted an alarm clock being thrown out of a window. It didn't catch Rade's attention though, as if he had an alarm clock he would've probably done the same thing. Upon arriving at work Rade began his boring tasks and the monotany eventually caught up to him, he began to 'sleep walk'. Where he just barely gave enough attention to what he was doing as to not completely fail. Meanwhile in his head gears were turning as his thought process began.
