I took the fire extinguisher and pounded at the door until the lock was finally broken. I found myself in a utility closet. Strange place to put the stairs. it was probably a secret door. Exhaustion was finally catching up to everyone. We all decided to sit down to celebrate our breakthrough.

Finally rested, I put my ear to the door. It sounded busy outside. In fact, it sounded like an actual crowded hospital. I opened the door a crack to look outside. Seems like just normal Doctors and patients. Nonetheless I didn't want to take chances. I rummaged through the closet and found a Janitor's jumpsuit. "I'd prefer a doctor's jacket, but this will have to do."

i walked quickly, the twins close behind and i looked around at the rooms and people. did they know what was happening below?
were they the ones responsible?
"is there something wrong with it?"
i froze in my tracks. a nurse was looking at me.
"ummm... excuse me?"
"the fire extinguisher, is there something wrong with it"
"uhhh... yes. it's not working properly. so i'm trying to get it replaced."
"i think we have a few extras in a room down the hall, follow me."
not wanting to raise suspicion, i followed her.
