Two strangely dressed fans in the stadium had a good chuckle.

User Image

KB watched as Isah ran at him and then jumped into the air, his head leaning back to keep track of his opponent. He smiled as the boot came down towards his head, his smile ever-expanding to surreal proportions.

Old Man KB
Ghoul Maw - The magical ability to morph one's mouth beyond its natural dimensions. KB uses this ability to replace all his default teeth with fangs, to increase the size of his bite to otherwise impossible measurements, and to produce gut-wrenching fear in his enemies. While employed his mouth stinks of carrion and overflows with blood and maggots.

Isah's foot would sink with a wet sucking sound as if he had stomped in mud. Blood splattered in every direction as the boot literally stomped its way through the mouth and down his throat. The entirety of his body weight fell into this step, allowing the vampire to gobble up his leg with ease. After the leg had sunk in sufficiently to the surprise of his opponent, the jaws would snap shut like a beartrap.

Old Man KB
Enhanced Strength - The strength of a vampire is considerably more than the average human being. This allows for him to use his abilities or weapons in ways disproportionate to his size and physical stature. Overall, his strength is about three times that of the average adult male.

This includes his biting power.

Old Man KB
Blood Drain - The vampiric ability to consume the blood of a target by biting them. Doing so revitalizes a vampire, giving it the strength to continue fighting and healing wounds in an amount equal to the amount of blood consumed. ( Consuming an adult entirely can heal a massive cut or gouge. )

Oh s**t.

KB's slow useless fight nevar happened.

RE-RE-RE-REMIX
PostPosted: Sat Jun 12, 2010 8:44 pm

BLASPHOOMY. This is what really happened.

The crowd roared in pleasure as Isah's leg was forcibly detached from the body. Just then, it seemed the fight would be called a draw... but no! An official rose from the masses and delivered judgment.

"Isah, disqualification, tardiness!"

That's right kids, attend your classes on time. They don't teach you to be punctual just for the heck of it! Unfortunately for Isah, being removed from the tournament meant the removal of certain... restrictions. To the joy of the crowd the man screamed in horror, his body rapidly being drained of its blood entirely, the flesh being munched at the vampire attacked ravenously.

Limbs were thrown back into the playing field, limbs which seemed drawn to the vampire with magnetic force. As the white mages baffled themselves on how to resurrect Isah ( there was no trace of him ) KB took advantage of their generous blood stores, tearing open packs and drinking from mortals as appropriate. Within minutes he had reattached his limbs and fixed his visage, even his clothing reforming itself as an extension of his now fully healed person.

Fully regenerated with exception of his broken glasses.

"Those were five-hundred dollar sunglasses, a*****e." He said, looking across the way to his brutalized frames and broken lenses. With a shake of his head he swept his gloved hand out towards the arena, the blood having been cleaned off. Despite the efforts of the staff the floor was still stained in many places.

"It would seem, fans, that today you're privy to an extended match!" He called, lifting his hands and exciting their already crazed applause. Distantly he was aware that the sun had risen a bit higher, and so he clung to the shadows on his side ( the east side ) of the arena. "I will not disappoint you, in this second, no, third display of combat."

Then, clasping his hands together in a disregarding clap he smiled and roared.

"AM I NOT MERCIFUL?!"

Merciful. Right.

The man was softly spoken; the words would be lost amidst the crowd's roar of approval. He had to give credit where credit was due; the fans adored KB and the scene he had given them. It was mildly daunting, as from where he stood, Iden had little support in this fight, compared to the now overwhelmingly popular foe he faced.

Quietly he stepped forward, into the light. Even behind the heavily tinted sunglasses that rested upon his bandaged face, he was squinting; the rays of the wicked day star would have him on edge the whole fight through. He was safe enough for the moment, as he had wrapped his exposed face and fingertips in bandages to shield them from the sun. But it was an unnatural thing, being a dead man in the daylight.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, you heard the man! Raise your voices for another fighter, a GTB newcomer, IDEN DESEER!"

So much noise; the crowds were going wild. Iden would have been flattered, were he not so filled with anxiety. Only a few feet further, and he would be in the shade...then he could fight without worry. Tense fingers held his duster close as he shuffled forwards, edging in towards the shade, and the other vampire.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.

Eyes shut for a moment, betraying truth. Iden DeSeer was not the same as a mortal man, this vampire deduced. His smile remained in place as he opened his eyes, the dead red gaze locking onto the bandaged opponent.

"Come and be destroyed." He beckoned, allowing the man into the shadows as he willed.

Gloved hands retreated beneath the cape and took hold of the material there. Lifting his arms the cape morphed into a pair of black steely wings, which each arm would form the basic skeleton of. His hands became the top 'joint' of the batlike wings, the wingspan extending beyond that point to give each wing a total 6ft reach.

Drawing his left wing up in front of him protectively, he held it horizontal, facing its bottom edge towards Iden. The right wing would be behind him, his footing changing so that he was standing with his left foot leading, body sideways to Iden. This profile view made his hidden body a smaller target, and allowed him to torque his body into a spin more easily.

Then he waited for the dead man to tempt fate.

Blessed shade. Now he could fight with little concern.

The two stood only just past ten feet from one another. Even at such a short distance, Iden failed to hear the ultimatum as it was delivered. He understood the meaning all the same; his foe was prepared, and would show no mercy.

A smirk tugged at the young kindred's lips. Hidden beneath the bandages that shielded his face, he was grinning. This would be fun, duking it out with one so in control of their form.

An almost casual flick of the wrist flung the duster open, and from it flew two metallic objects, each perhaps the size of a man's fist. In a heartbeat, Iden was moving; his body surged forwards just as the blinding flash came. The twin flash bombs erupted in a sudden blast of intolerable light and sound. Iden, forewarned as he was, shielded his face in his advance. KB would be less prepared; he only had the briefest of moments between the throw and impact between them to understand what was happening.

It was all Iden could do to pray that his opening ruse worked; he had already committed to the attack. His body surged forward with a sudden acceleration that defied reason; the blood pounding through his muscles was burning away, powering him forward with the first of his skills as a Cainite.

Celerity
Celerity is the Cainite art of unholy speed. In simplified terms, the user burns away blood in their veins to augment their speed and alacrity. The boost to literal speed is only moderate; the true value is that while used, this power allows free reign of motion that ignores inertia to a great extent. It is also noted that while his blows may move faster, the user can still only strike with the same force he would normally possess unaugmented.

Trusting in his unnaturally quick advance and his flash grenades both, Iden lunged forwards and tugged his arms free from his duster. He led with his left side, which held the garment; powerful arms hurled the coat at his foe to further hinder his vision and entangle his limbs. Then, throwing his weight into a sudden stop and pivoting strike, his right arm swung around in a solid, steel-shod punch to open in what was to be a series of advancing blows designed to force KB from the ring.

FWOOM!

The world went white, some kid somewhere shared a similar experience in MW2. The kid was spraying and praying through the flash, a tactic the vampire would employ now. Though his eyes shut instinctively from the blast and his wing lifted a bit, the light penetrated his eyelids and stayed in his vision.

While one could argue since he didn't rely on his brain to process sight this was impossible, one would have to be a complete douche to do so.

His right foot planted on the floor twisted slightly and he shoved off, throwing himself into a spin. It was a defensive measure and the only one he could effectively muster, one he hoped would buy him enough time for the blindness to fade.

Old Man KB
CutCutCutCutCut!!! - This technique essentially transforms the user into a death-dealing top. The user becomes blurred in motion as they spin towards their enemy. This attack can persist for 3-4 seconds, and can be used defensively as well as offensively. The weapon of choice determines the range of the attack, though only simple patterns are capable since the weapon has to be held in one position as the user spins. While using this ability the practitioner is unable to perceive the world around them.

The vampire pushed himself to hold the move going for the full four seconds, providing himself as much time as possible to recover. The force of his motion pulled him forwards slightly, but the lack of forward momentum meant he only moved about a foot. His form a dark blur, the wings extended fully as he spun, making a circle of death 12ft across. The wings were held around chest height as he spun.

Anything that threw itself into their path would be impacted with the razor sharp edge of the steely wings, the vampire carrying strength three times that of the average man. This meant that it would be a lot like having a more durable piece of sheet metal slammed into you by someone with inhuman strength.

Again and again and again, if one cared to stay within range.

Ohshi-

Iden was already committed to his assault; while he could immediately withdraw with the gifts he possessed, instead he pressed onwards. The duster was a lost cause, sadly; the poor coat was ripped asunder by the whirling top of vampiric death. Yet, the young DeSeer held the utmost in confidence that he would not share its fate.

His lunging strike was leading with his right foot; his left side had been the origin of the hurled coat. His height and long arms gave him a fair reach, but it was nothing compared to that of the wings. The only recourse was to lunge in headlong, holding his left arm in a guard even with KB's counter as his right was thrown.

Over the crowds came a horrific screech, akin to metal upon metal. Iden's left forearm met with KB's razor edged wing with a harsh impact, one that threw the young DeSeer off balance. Yet he was more or less unharmed; the leather that sheathed his left forearm had been ripped away to reveal gleaming steel beneath it! The gauntlets had saved him from losing a limb, though his arm shook and ached from the impact.

The original plan was a bust; the blow had spun Iden off his feet and hurled his punch aside. Yet still his forward momentum remained; the brief burst of celerity had left him with a headlong charge that would not be denied. Though he landed roughly and felt the wind burst from his lungs, he rolled into KB. The spinning Vampire stood just over Iden's legs, meaning the two would collide. It was all the floored kindred could do to try and trip his opponent and take him to the ground; what would ensue after would be a hasty scramble to try and gain the advantage from his position.

The world spun, sparks intermittently alive in vision before the floor came to consume it all. KB fell to the ground as his opponent bowled into him, tripping over him and landing roughly on his side. His wings clipped the floor and gouged it before the right one slackened and resumed its cape form. The left wing would be held up beside him like a shield, forming a wall between himself and Iden.

As Iden scrambled to his feet, KB pressed his elbow ( and the back of his still formed wing ) against the floor and leaned up, his feet coming under him as he rolled himself upright. Once he had managed to stand he would waste no time in pivoting, using his left wing to maintain the buffer as his right arm came across and reformed the opposite limb.

It really depended on how fast the two were what would happen. KB was about twice as fast as a normal adult male, both in terms of speed and reaction. It was because of the fact that he and Iden were both undead that he maintained the shape of the left wing, in order to dissuade his opponent from attacking until he managed to bring his own slash across. This slash would be a horizontal one that aimed to smash the edge of the wing ( beyond the knuckle ) into his opponent's chest.

There was a good chance Iden would try to block again, but if he didn't... and say tried to jump back to dodge, he'd have a nasty surprise coming for him.

Old Man KB
Phantom Slash - Used in conjunction with KB's ability to use his cape as a weapon, the Phantom Slash is an attack that extends his range considerably. The force of his slashes causes a blade of force to continue in a wave pattern away from him, impacting anything in range of the attack. The maximum range of this ability is 30ft. The strength of the attack does not diminish until it has reached its maximum range, at which point it disperses harmlessly. The force of these attacks is strong enough to match the attacks that generates them.

It was a rapid scramble to see who would take the advantage. KB was marginally faster than Iden was, despite that the younger of the two was built for speed. He shielded himself needlessly; Iden had just oriented himself the same time KB had begun to rise. This of course meant the elder combatant took his swing, whipping his wing about in a roundabout slash similar to the first. The difference came in how Iden reacted.

He only sort of blocked. The young DeSeer lunged inwards, taking the blow full on as before, but this time with his left arm leading. The force was minimized somewhat when he surged forwards; KB's limb would hit at a far shorter extension than was ideal. Still, the impact nearly threw Iden to the floor once more; even twisting with the blow was almost not enough. But twist he did, turning his lunge into a sudden corkscrewing drop. The wing slipped just overhead, and Iden's knees heaved hard into a rising punch for KB's elbow. It was a clean target, with virtually nothing stopping him; though his left hand was bordering numbness after being so brutally battered, his right was still unharmed and in its prime.

It would be a fair exchange, were Iden to land the blow. On impact he'd pull a wolverine and impale the arm with metal blades. Stab and twist; the young DeSeer was trying to remove the limb from the equation by shredding the muscles and crippling it. Better still was that he had a very solid base now that he was rising from the ground; his balance was good, and he had an ideal position to follow up with more punishment.

Clang!

The wing impacted the DeSeer, but again the full extent of its power was denied. The younger vampire managed to duck under the wing with his fist and drive claws up towards the right elbow. With no effective defense from beneath the DeSeer would find the vampire's elbow an open target. The claws impacted the bony part of the limb with a sickening crunch, the meat there being mashed against the wing that lay blended atop it.

KB smiled, but otherwise showed no pain.

Claws, every vampire had them. While the DeSeer busied himself with the dark wing KB slackened his left wing. Fluidly the wing changed back to its cape consistency, the gloved hand beneath shooting up as the left foot beneath slid out to solidify the stance. The right foot was twisted with the toe pointed towards the DeSeer due to the interrupted pivot, but KB showed no sign of discomfort.

The pressure from the right wing was kept up, the arm there bent. This meant that Iden's right hand was a bit under the wing, the left presumably holding it in place to keep the elder vampire from simply pulling the wing down across his throat. This pressure of the bent arm would be key ( a lot like holding a hooking punch in place against something resisting ) in holding the DeSeer in place.

Rocketing out of the younger vampire's blindspot was the left hand, the white glove having given way to what appeared a steely black gauntlet. In reality KB had simply transformed his hand, his fingertips forming claws. They were aiming for the young vampire's head, the hand clearly en route to simply impale him through the side/back of the skull. If the DeSeer was too far out of range for the length of his arm, KB would know and adjust accordingly by twisting his hips to the right and sliding his left foot ahead, 'stepping in' to continue with the strike.

After all, you can't kill someone who's already dead, right?

...right?

KB was a lucky, lucky man...monster...thing. Had he blindsided Iden as intended, the poor young sod would have been lobotomized, and there would have been the game. Fortunately for both, the fatality was averted by Iden's continuation of his uppercut.

Potence
Potence is the Cainite art of strength. Literally, it does for the user's raw physical power what Celerity does for his speed. In Iden's case, his lean, lightweight frame becomes mighty to a point only the pinnacle of humanity can attain, lending immense brute power to his every blow.

KB's arm crumpled under the initial strike, and Iden took full advantage. Using his low center of mass, he pivoted and heaved with every ounce of his physical strength. It was a very basic shoulder throw; he was simply trying to put KB on the ground once more.

Pain flashed through Iden's mind; his right shoulder felt a sudden rush of burning agony. KB's claws had blindsided him, though fortune saw the strike rip through his right shoulder, rather than his skull. Deep gashes brought the coppery tang of fresh blood to the air as Iden heaved; thick, smoking crimson oozed from the wound for a second before he could force the injury to stop bleeding.

If nothing else, this pain threw a flash of desperation through the young DeSeer's mind. Even in the shade, the light of day caused an unpleasant burn. Now he was no longer fully covered; if the fight took to the sunlight he would burn most painfully. Such could not be permitted. If KB hit the ground, Iden would be all over him in a flash; his legs would lock around the older vampire's waist and his blades would begin tearing at both of the foe's arms, trying to cripple him and prevent him from fighting back.

Whoa! Upsy daisy!

The smell of blood hit the air anew, exciting both the vampires and eliciting cheers from the crowd. They oohed and aahed as the two fought, their pleasure increasing audibly with the show of blood. KB being flipped over onto his back brought more joyous cries from the stadium.

His right wing took to its regular shape as Iden mounted him, pooling around him with the rest of the material. KB continued to smile up at the vampire, leering up at him with an unnatural facade. Sure enough his arms raised, both hands appearing to have taken their clawed form. The hands grabbed at the vampire, aiming to sink into flesh or take hold of clothing as appropriate.

Old Man KB
Indominable - Undead: Additionally, the body does not require the function of muscles or tendons. The nervous system is dead as well, so it becomes moot. A vampire cannot be knocked out or disabled by pressure points. It is simply the will of the creature alone that motivates it, which permits its continued activity even when if reduced to tatters.

The mangled elbow seemed to do nothing, and Iden would find after a few moments that tearing strips out of the vampire's arms afforded him little control. The flesh could be reduced to ribbons but it would maintain its grip, the fetid blood there affording no sustenance.

He bent at his abdomen, leaning up, smashing his chest forwards to get his face within range.

Iden DeSeer should have known better. To enter close combat with a vampire was suicide. KB would not have tempted such a fate out of principle, but perhaps that was something of aged wisdom. In any case his ghoulish maw snapped at the younger vampire, his insanely wide mouth aiming to come down on the leech's neck near the base.

If KB managed this, he would close his mouth on the crook of the neck, essentially decapitating the vampire and taking out a significant portion of the collar bone. Since his mouth had spread to encompass the entire width of his head ( and then some, it almost seemed ) the surreal attack would be more than capable of consuming this much flesh.

If not, the frenzied vampire on the bottom would just try to hold his opponent and go wild, biting at anything that came within reach. The rabid attack would not end, his eyes betraying only insanity where there had once been a cold thinking mind.

Oh, it was a happy little scene. Bits of muscle and gore were flying everywhere. There was nothing like a good bit of RIP TEAR RIP TEAR to get the jollies going. Iden felt fairly self assured that he had this; with no arms, KB would have very little he could do to

OH JESUS CHRIST WHAT THE ******** say Iden was shocked was to possess a gift for understatement. He was totally off guard for the sudden grip that found his shoulders; claws dug through cloth and skin to secure a solid grasp. It seemed the advantage had changed hands with remarkable speed; now Iden was trying to push himself away.

Fear edged in on the younger fighter's mind. What the ******** is this guy? What the hell do I need to do? Doubt edged slowly towards panic; panic would be the end of the fight. When faced with this maw of terrifying proportions, Iden could do so very little but push away.

Fangs ripped through skin and clothing, and tore solid chunks from the throat and collarbones of the younger fighter. It was taking a tremendous deal of effort to hold KB even to this point; if Iden didn't do something quickly, his strength would fail and he would be consumed. This need for self-preservation jarred his mind from the downward spiral; determination to live took hold and gave him the brief clarity he needed.

The poor young DeSeer would be burning through his stamina and blood at a horrifying rate, but it had to be done. Calling upon every ounce of unholy strength he could muster, Iden augmented his power and forced himself to his feet. All of KB's weight lay upon him as the deranged creature held fast and snapped in ravenous hunger for his flesh. Yet despite the strain, Iden would hold out for as long as was necessary; he was going to walk his foe into the light of day, and force him to burn away.

That's right, folks. Iden was going to pick the snarling ball of hatred in his arms up, and walk into the sunlight. Better yet, when he got to the edge of the shadows, he was going to wedge his arms into that maw, trust in the gauntlets to keep him from losing both limbs, and push with every fiber of his being in a titanic effort to open KB's jaws into the daylight, while remaining safely just inside the line of shade.

The crowd, of course, was going to love it regardless of whether or not he succeeded, the sadists that they were.
