Mriae Fubuki exchanged a few glances with his trainer, purple eyes gleaming as the red-haired boy spoke. He was only a Delibird, and just by looking at Dace he could tell that he was new to this whole sort of thing. His entire demeanor gave that away. "Deli, delibird," he commented quietly, more toward Miriam than anyone else. His trainer just shrugged beside him and then shot the pokemon a look before whispering, "I know that, but give him the benefit of the doubt." Poor Dace. Fubuki figured that the boy wouldn't last five minutes out in the wilderness; not on his own, anyway. For his sake, he hoped the human boy traveled with some others instead of on his own.
Miri didn't even hesitate when the other person asked for help. "Sure," she said, tucking her own list into her pocket. The various items on her list had been running in her head mentally for the past few minutes, anyway. She doubt she would need to pull the paper back out again. "I assume you're going to Motterossa for the eevee swarm?" Turning on the heels of her boots, the Ranger then proceeded to grab a bunch of things off the shelves without even bothering to look at the labels. She had done this one too many times. "Everyone and their mother is going to be heading that way. Figure I'd go as crowd control more than anything else - can't have humans or pokemon getting hurt." A pause followed this, perhaps to let Dace take everything in. "The name's Miriam, by the way, but you can call me Miri. I'm a Pokemon Ranger."
A tug on the hem of her dress followed that. It was Fubuki, who had gave her a bit of a hurt expression before turning to Dace himself. "Deli," he chimed. Miriam only chuckled and patted the head of her pokemon apologetically. "How could I forget? And this; this is Fubuki." Dace had never ever been good at dealing with more then one person at a time, so with a frustrated groan, he quickly excused himself (awkwardly) from the girl who had straightened the tins, and followed after the more experienced one. He watched as she grabbed at things. It was almost as if it was at random, except for that fact that this lady OOZED confidence. Dace felt a jealousy towards her at the moment, but still followed her about anywho. Then she introduced herself.
It was a shock, to be honest, he almost felt like she was a teacher of sorts. But she was smiling, and she even offered up the name of her delibird. Dace nodded slightly, then replied, "It's pleasure to meet you two! Really, it is! And thank you for helping me, it is quiet useful."

lungrot Dace nodded slightly, turning his head, for now, to talk to Alex. Carefully, friendly-like, he gave her a smile and nodded in excitement. Catching pokemon was a wonderful thing, so it was best to be excited, right?
"I can't wait, really!" he said happily, watching her put things away.
"And yeah, I got myself a tauros to ride and all that jazz," grinning again, Dace pleasantly added, "and I do believe I missed you name?" Alex smiled back, "I can't wait either!" There was something about the red head that bothered her but she couldn't put her finger on it.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Alex. I was assigned a ponyta but I haven't gone to pick it up yet." She stood up her heavy back pack audibly shifting as she did so.
(edit: cuse I'm slow)
Then she looked away from the shelves and realized that she was talking to herself...again.... "Oh well, only a few more things to grab." She followed to grab the last few items she would need.

Feroxity @Shi
It didn't take her very long to reach the Pokemart, but once she got there, Kary wondered if they'd even have sunblock. Most of their supplies were specifically Pokemon oriented, but protecting one's skin whilst out tracking them was important, wasn't it? Ah well, the brunette was already there, she'd give it a shot and if they didn't have sunblock, there were other places to look. She wandered up and down the aisles looking for anything that could have to do with keeping trainers from getting crispy, when an odd tremor almost made her fall over.
"What in the world?" She muttered, poking her be-hatted head around a corner to see a Shiny Dragonite eating all he could get at a Free Samples stand. ChuChu, full now from all the samples she nabbed, decided to look around and take in her surroundings. The pokemart was the same as always, full of wonderful food and human inventions...and the stingy medicine her trainer put on her when she was hurt. "CHUUUCHUUU! Come here this instant!" Luna called, huffing and crossing her arms as she glared at her pokemon. The raichu, fearing the anger of her trainer, immediately scrambled over.

Noticing that Alex had tagged along as Miri tossed things into her cart, Dace turned to her once again and smiled. "It's going to be exciting," he said with true joy. So many pokemon, and he could catch them!
"And it is wonderful to meet you as well, Alex. I am rather glad to meet so many nice people. I'm not very sociable, to be honest!" he chuckled lightly then, and scratched his head. The idle, innocent boy.

(-sticking around a litle longer-)
Kayla followed Luna as quickly as she could to find Snookie scarfing down food. "SNOOKIE!"
Dragonite!Snookie paused in his stuffing his face and looked up at Kayla. He tried to grin nervously and hide the half empty plate and the other plates that was scattered all around him but the evidence was clear.

"Tell me about it," He replied, groaning and letting his head fall back, exposing his neck before letting his head loll back around, "Most trainers aren't exactly wealthy, if you know what I mean, and if the pokemon's hurt you can't say NO... it's gotten to the point where I kinda have to whore myself out to the rich folk, you know?"
Slipping the pokeball back onto his belt, the healer shifted, folding his arms across his chest, idly watching a drop of water slide down his arm before glancing back up at Ridley. "Let me tell you, house calls suck. Much rather do it at the pokemon center."
Liam's ears pricked a bit at the mention of the eevee swarm, eyebrows lifting in interest. "Yeah? I heard about it... thought about going, but I was kind of waffling over it. Might be nice to get out. Maybe I'll keep you company," He replied with a wink and a laugh, wondering if Ridley would want his company at all. By his friendly attitude, however, he didn't think the dark-haired rocket would say no.

Maybe the person calling it would know whether or not Pokemarts carried sunblock? Plus, Raichu were just plain cute.
"Uhm, hi." She waved and smiled awkwardly to the person the Raichu had scampered over to. "Uh, random question, you wouldn't happen to know if they have sunblock here, would you?"

She reached out and grabbed a six pack of first aid sprays. She would have to take care of her rented ponyta after all.

Luna scolded her Raichu briefly, ranting about how ChuChu could have gotten them permanently banned from yet another pokemart. Then she would have no place to shop!
Her anger subsided when she noticed another trainer walking up to her. ChuChu tilted her head curiously at the new person.
"Sunblock?" Luna asked, putting her hand over her mouth thoughtfully. "Maybe around the burn heals? I haven't looked for it here before...but I probably need some too...are you going to Motterossa as well?"

Dace nodded slightly, then replied, "It's pleasure to meet you two! Really, it is! And thank you for helping me, it is quiet useful." "It's nice to meet you, too," she said with a grin. Rangers had a tendency to work alone a lot. Sure, there were times when a few of them got together to do group missions, but she couldn't recall the last time she had done that. Having the chance to meet someone else was a nice one. This - this was the part of her job that she enjoyed: traveling, meeting people, and helping them out if they needed it. "As for the help; it's no trouble." The basket she held now had collected a few more items that she had placed into the basket. Once it was a good halfway full, she then stopped to hand it over to the teenage guy.
Her smile faded for a moment, morphing into a serious expression. "Since I assume you're traveling with a pokemon, having the proper items for their care should be one of your top priorities. In this basket you'll find the items necessary in order to do so..." Her voice trailed off as she said this, a hand raising up so she could motion with her hands for emphasis, "Potions, status healing items such as antidote, paralyze heal, awakening, burn and ice heal. It's always good to have at least one, if not a couple of each of these items."
Fubuki nodded down at Miriam's side in agreement. More than once had they gotten into a tight spot, but thankfully, they had come out okay. The ranger had been prepared and always managed to have the proper items with her in case of an emergency. "If those status healing items are a bit much individually, you could always get a couple full heals instead, but those cost a bit more. You might also want to keep a few berries, just in case." Taking a few steps to continue on with her shopping, she then stopped abruptly. "Oh! And pokemon food. You're always going to need the proper amount of pokemon food. It's better to buy more than you might need, just in case, as well. Since you never really know how long you're going to be out there."
After stating all this, the Ranger glanced down at her Delibird. Was Dace getting all of this? She hoped so! Repeating herself was never fun, but it was a lot to take in.

The Rocket stared at him, a little hypnotized by the way he rolled back his head, staring at his throat and hurriedly glancing away as he moved his head forward again. He struggled to grab the thread of Liam's words and listened, looking at him again, and blinked, flushing at the phrase 'whore myself out to the rich'. He stared at Liam, wondering if the double entendre had been deliberate (knowing him, it had been!), but quickly found the true framing of the words and flushed more, realizing that Liam had made an 'innocent' remark. But the image was still in his mind, and he couldn't help but look at him, his attention again drawn to how wet the healer was, thinking that that was not a good state to be in.
His next quip made Ridley swallow and he smirked, his mind in the gutter again. "Oh.. I'm sorry to hear about that. I guess you get to see a lot of fancy mansions though, huh?" he quirked an eyebrow at him, returning with an innocent remark of his own.
Ridley almost agreed immediately when Liam suggested he might come with him, but he still gave pause, thinking about something and apparently reconsidering, but he couldn't outright discourage Liam. He didn't want to turn him away completely because there was a strong chance he would get exactly what he was looking for, and Ridley's libido had a pretty strong veto.
"Well, it'll probably be boring, y'know, kind of a waste of time..." he began, shrugging. "But... if you came along I bet it'd be fun," Ridley quirked an eyebrow at him, feeling a bit guilty even now. But not guilty enough to ignore Liam's chest in that wet black shirt. "You still have that Tauros?"

Kary nodded brightly in response, adjusting the straps of her considerably sized backpack.
"Sure am," She said, "I haven't got any Pokemon with me, so I'll be taking the Express. Are you going with it too?" She asked, not knowing if person she was talking to had Pokemon other than the Raichu by her side.

He didn't have the same want as she did (he was wanting to capture pokemon, not research them!), but he was still excited. To keep the conversation flowing, he asked her lightly, "What evolutions are there so far?"
Of course, about the time that he asked that, the deli-girl, Miri, started speaking again. Thankfully Dace managed to catch most of what she said. Potions, healing, poison, antidotes, healing, food. He was pretty sure he understood, so he eagerly nodded when she finished.
Nodding always showed you understood, correct? Then it hit him.
Money. He gulped and looked at his wallet again and groaned.
"Maaaan, and I was hoping to not have to spend a bunch," he grouched, though it was only half-heartedly. Sorta...not really. Dace hated spending money.

It's probably going to be really full soon...with a long line considering all the newbie trainers who want to rent a pokemon. You should probably hurry to reserve a spot!" While the trainers were distracted, ChuChu took the opportunity to hop from Luna's head onto Kary's. "Rai! Raichu!" She said, bending down over Kary's hair to look at the trainer's face upside down. The scent seemed very familiar. "ChuChu!" Luna exclaimed, exasperated. Her Raichu just didn't seem to want to listen to her at all today.

The Byzantium-haired girl couldn't help but blink when he mentioned the money. Why hadn't she taken that into consideration. It was a valid concern since, after all, not all trainers were made of money (nor might all of them save what they made like she had a tendency to do). All she could do was chuckle at this, sheepishly rubbing the back of her head with a hand. "Money, right! You might just want to get a potion and maybe an antidote and paralyze heal, then. Or just a potion and some food."
She and Fubuki nodded at this. If Dace was really in need of medical supplies, then there were always herbs that could be found in the woods if he knew what to look for. Those could be just as good as potions sometimes, and not only that, but they were free! Perhaps her latter suggestion would suit the boy's taste more. The bare minimum was better than nothing, right?
