Bright eyes opened to the sight of snow falling slowly past her window. Shooting up into a sitting position, the rabbit of the Zodiac felt a large smile spread across her face. "It's snowing!" she cried out. Mizuki was the kind of person who got excited over the small things but she was easily distracted by other things at the same time. Climbing excitedly out of her pink and white bed and ran over to her window and watched the snow falling. Turning back to her bed, she grabbed her cell phone and brought up Lavie and Nana's numbers.

To: Lavie, Nana
From: Mizuki
omg why didnt you guys tell me
it was snowing???

Tossing her phone onto her bed, she went to her closet and grabbed her favorite faded pair of jeans and her lavender sweater with a white fluffy scarf that Nana had made for her last birthday. Picking up her cell phone again, she saw that the two hadn't gotten back to her yet and headed downstairs to see what her mom was making for breakfast. She was a very traditional woman so it was probably going to be rice, miso, grilled fish and tamagoyaki. Like every morning. "Ohaiyo, mama," she greeted as she sat down on her cushion.

After she had finished her breakfast, Mizuki went to the door and pulled on her boots with the fur around the top and the little pom poms hanging on the side. Still no word from Lavie or Nana. She thought she was supposed to hang out with them but neither of them had even sent her a text to see if she was still coming. She sat on the step for a moment before deciding to build a snowman while she waited for her friends to text her back.

XXXXXXXX"ɪ think it's just us. D'you 'wanna text him? I got rid of my phone, it was getting too expensive with my job and school. Plus, Megami wouldn't let you jump ahead. Besides, it'll be fun without me; Think about it, no babysitter! And how is it that you're younger than me and have a dirtier mind?" Grinning at her cousin, despite her wanting to shudder at the mention of Megami, the "God" of the thirteen cursed Sohmas, Lavie shifted her eyes forward, seeing that the two were merely feet away from their destination.

XXXXXXXOpening the door for Nana to enter first, and following after, the tigress smiled in bliss at the heat. Finally, she was out of the snow and into a nice, toasty warm shop. Aside from Mizuki and Nana, there weren't any other Sohmas Lavie would hang out with due to the age gap. Of course, she would talk to them and go out if she was invited, but it was rare that she would send the invite. Speaking of invites, Nana’s phone went off, meaning Mizuki was invited, but the two forgot about her. The rabbit probably tried to send a text to her, but it was most likely denied since she got rid of her cell. Now all she had was a house phone, which wasn’t totally reliable with her. Ah well. It wasn't like many people called for a favour anyways. Most just dropped by.

XXXXXX"That Mizu? Let's all meet up somewhere later. It'll take her awhile to stop playing in the snow anyways, right?" Smiling down at Nana due to height difference, the tigress glanced at the shelves of manga, seeing the sales sign. Sales always came first when shopping, especially when one lived alone. Maybe Lavie could squeeze a book or two in her budget, but unless they were super cheap, the girl doubted it with a sigh. Perking up afterwards from a look some other girl gave her, Lavie shrugged it off, gazing at all the titles and the look on Nana's face as she saw the enormous stash of Pocky that was on sale as well. Looks like she'll be happy for a long while..." Laughing at her cousin's antics, Lavie turned away to see who was in here, and if she recognized anyone from school or any other place. Not that she really spoke at school to anyone aside from her family, but a familiar face meant a new world in the upcoming year.

((OOC: Sorry for not posting a whole bunch, caught a cold and I'm still managing school and work. So I can probably only post every few days))

Shuichi Sohma
"The Rooster"
User Image

XXXXXXPelted in the head with a couple more snowballs, Shuichi called a time out, realizing his phone was going off too many times to just leave it and continue in his fun. Though Kaz didn't like him, the older of that particular Sohma family wasn't about to just let him be. As it turned out, his brother went back to building his snowman, while he froze his hand, attempting to answer his two cousins. Why were the girls wanting to hang out with him today? Usually he wasn't this popular with the opposite sex. Family or not... Maybe it was because he flew either way without a care? Asuka replied first, so out of courtesy, he would reply to her first, and then the lovely snake who surprisingly wasn't dying from the cold. Laughing at the thought, though a rooster wasn't one for snow either, Shuichi took advantage of the cold when it came to paying back his little brother for all those pranks.

XXXXXTo: Asuka
From: Shuichi
Message: I know =( Now I have to be Big Brother >T

Just as he happened to hit send and return to throwing another snowball, he was pelted by a surprise one from the one and only Asuka. Wow she got there quick. Grinning at her, he jumped by her side, curling his arm around her neck for a nookie. Letting her fall to the snow with a complaint, he winked, before going back to his phone. "Of course! But I gotta answer this one text!"

XXXXTo: Sakuya
From: Shuichi
Message: Snowball fights n' making snowmen w/ Kaz n' Asuka. wanna play? She's bringing cake. We can share ;D

XXXLeaving his phone yet again, he molded a perfect ball and threw it towards his younger brother. His brother's head hit the snowman's torso, making a small dent. He would never hear the end of that. Receiving quite the glare from the little punk, Shuichi grinned. "That's for hittin' me off guard. Wait 'til Asuka gets her head back here an' pelts ya with me!" His Nagoya accent came shining through, making him sound weird, but before moving back to the Sohma estate out of fear, it was how he heard people speak, making him catch an accent. Back to present times, the rooster ducked, letting a small ball of snow hit the front window, splattering and sliding back to the ground. A small 'thunk' noise was made from impact on the glass, meaning he'd have to watch his back more carefully. "Damn you dad for teachin' him how to pitch a baseball!" Next to do on his list was obviously make a fort for protection. Nothing like a good snowball fight accompanied by a shelter.

Tell me what I think just happened ɖιɖи'т just happen!

User Image Nana smiled broadly, hands stuffed deep into her pockets. ”I just love how you can answer several questions in one swoop. It’s magnificent.” she said, her smile still curling onto her face. Opening and shutting her mouth, Nana soon was making curls of something like smoke. She stopped after seven –her lucky number and namesake- and watched them dance into the sky before finally fizzling out and dying. ’How depressing.’ she thought, her smile fading somewhat. Nana looked back at her cousin and twitched her nose a few times. ”Let me answer the following answers in the following ways: Okay. Maybe later. I could help pay for it. You’re right, however much it pains me to admit. You’re no babysitter, half the time I’m watching your back. And finally, and most fruitfully, I was exposed earlier than you were.” Nana finished, her smile soon turning into a sly smirk.

Nana entered the store and sighed softly as the warmth seeped into her limbs and then turned to liquefied heat in her bones. Honestly, Nana could have stayed out in the snow and she would have felt just as comfortable as in the manga shop. She slid her earmuffs off of her hears and onto her neck, and her unzipped jacket was left still untouched. Humming some song by SHINee to herself, Nana strolled down aisles, picking up books when she found something that interested her and then scoffing when she realized how crap the book was from the first few pages. She browsed meaninglessly until her phone went off. The familiar jingle of the old Naruto theme ‘Yura Yura’ wafted into the shop, and she got a few approving looks from employees and others in the shop. Her eyes scrolled through the text and a coy smile waded into her face.

To: Mizuki
From: Nana
Message: because we knew you’d wake up when the good, fluffy snow started falling! :3 and in any case, you’re a snowbunny, you wouldn’t have given us enough time to explain. Once you heard the word ‘snow’, you’d flip out. ;3
err, text me when you’re done messing around, lavie and I could meet you somewheres.
ja!

Nana sent off the text with a smile and looked back at Lavie.
”You got that right. I told her to text me when she was done messing around.” she called over the racks of manga and cosplay outfits. Nana blinked when she saw the familiar red box, and design. She stared when she saw the sign just above that read out blandly ‘SALE!’ in bold orange letters. Her face was completely blank when she took as much pocky as her arms could hold (which was about thirty seven boxes, and just as much as the stand had on it) to the register and stated, ”Ring it up, Momo-San. I’ll be back with the rest.” Her bland request didn't send the employee into a 'tizzy' in the words of Nana's mother. Quite used to this kind of behavior from the 'person who kept this shop running singlehandedly' (in the words of the shop's owner), Momo simply nodded and began ringing up Nana's purchase.
