Deil Grist Mizukage in Title|Special Jounin|Taijutsu Class|Genjuu Kinzoku Bloodline
Each part of the gate completed was like a small weight had been lifted from his mind as Deil worked with the other carpenters to complete the gate. It didn't take long for them to assemble a door on the ground, but the tricky part came in getting it into its hinges. They used ropes and people pushing to get the door upright, but without any sort of crane, they would have to lift it to get the downward male pieces of the hinge on the door into the female pieces attacked to the frame of the wall. Some used ropes to keep it steady while Deil and the other carpenters lifted up and into place. It became pretty apparent by how the load was dispersed around the carpenters that Deil, who was in the middle, was lifting much more than his share with his brute strength. The door slid smoothly into place, and they all took a five minute break to cool down and drink some water before starting construction of the second door. Deil didn't notice the crowd until the break, but he give a nervous smile to them. He was quite unused to all the attention, but he was pleased that the other villagers approved. Mileena Mayu ~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~
The construction of the gate was going smoothly, though the little silver haired girl couldn't shake the feeling that she was being utterly useless to the village, especially as she sat there watching the others work. Kiyoko was granted special permission from Deil to return to her dorm because of an illness that had befallen her prior to the short break, so Mileena had no one to talk to. She made a mental note that once they were all through with the heavy repairs to the gate, she would do all the minor tasks, such as painting and sweeping up all the debris. The likes. Until then, she resigned herself to watching others do all the work.

Deil Grist Mizukage in Title|Special Jounin|Taijutsu Class|Genjuu Kinzoku Bloodline Deil shook his head a little as Kiyoko walked off to the dorms. He knew from experience her lightheaded feeling and fatigue were results of working too long out in the sun. They had been out there for quite some time, and her frail frame along with prolonged exposure probably led to her condition. I'll have to remember to send her on an inside job next time. he thought as he stood from his spot to begin raising the other door. He saw Mileena over by the engineer table with a look of helplessness on her face, and called out to her. "Mileena-chan, please go sweep up the sawdust. We'll leave after you finish that and the second door is in place. After that, the carpenters just have to add the detail work to it." His group of carpenters and he all moved to the next door and began assembling its components on the ground. Mileena Mayu ~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~
Having been so far gone in her reverie, Mileena scarcely managed to hear Deil's words, and as a result, she took more time than was called for to react. Her head had moved to the sound of the voice almost immediately, but her mind failed to register the words at the same time. She jolted upright from her seat and opened her mouth to speak, then stopped and blushed with eyes opened wide as she realized her blunder. "R...right away sir! Mileena scanned the area quickly for a broom, or any material that she could use to create an object akin to a broom. Upon finding nothing of the sort, she rolled her eyes and turned away from the gate. "I'll be right back". Mileena ran down the street to the nearest shop her feet brought her to. She entered the store and ran to the clerk with more fervency than the situation called for. She was about to force her nous into the woman's under the false heat of the moment, but caught herself before she made that mistake. She mimicked the action of a person sweeping the floors and hoped that the woman would understand. Apparently she did. She went around back and came back with a sturdy broom that seemed to do well under pressure. In fact, it looked as if the clerk had had the broom for some time. Mileena accepted it and bowed before she ran back to the gate to pick up where she so abruptly left off.
She stopped and caught her breath for a minute before she passed the crowd and went about her task. The sweeping was going well, and most all of the sawdust and other unwanted refuse in the area were in a single pile. When the work was finally done, Mileena wiped some invisible sweat from her face and smiled at Deil as she accepted whatever approval he showed her. Remembering what she had in her hands, she thought of bringing the broom back to the clerk. She started off at a run, but before she could take two perfect steps, she tripped over some unseen object and fell in her face. The snapping sound that came was enough to shove all the pain from the fall to the back of her mind as she rolled over and held the two sticks in her hands. She sighed and blamed her clumsiness for the unfortunate outcome.

Deil Grist Mizukage in Title|Special Jounin|Taijutsu Class|Genjuu Kinzoku Bloodline It wasn't long after building of the second gate was completed when it was put into place the same way the first gate had been. Daichi breathed heavily from exertion along with the other workers, and they all walked around clapping each other on the back. The mood seemed cheery in general now that the gates had been replaced, and as much as Deil would have liked to hand around, he had other stuff to do. He cleared his throat and addressed all the workers. "Thank you all again for coming! I really appreciate the work! Money will be sent out to everyone that helped by the weekend. Please give your names to the head foreman so he can deliver the list to me. Deil then turned and saw Mileena on the ground, and jogged over to her with a look of concern on his face. Kneeling down, he asked, "Are you alright, Mayu-san?" Unless it was someone he was in combat with, he hated to see someone hurting, thus he was genuinely concerned for the welfare of the genin. {reconstruction of gates 15/15. Mileena Mayu ~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~
A soft blush invaded the creamy flesh on Mileena's face, casting a pink glow on both sides of her cheeks. Embarrassment at the way she had just fallen made her feel less like a Shinobi, and when Deil came to her side she felt like even less. She got up into a sitting position slowly while she brushed the dirt from her skin and clothes. Her head remained down as she responded to Deil's question. "Yes. I'm fine. I guess I just got so caught up in the moment that I lost myself". She steeled herself and looked up into Deil's face and saw the concern that was there. Now that she thought about it, she decided then and there that she would trust him from now on. The corners of her eyes caught movement, and she looked over Deil's shoulder to see the men walking around, patting each other on the back for a job well done or just sitting there to relax. She looked back into Deil's eyes and smiled softly as she pushed herself off the ground completely and stood, brushing the dirt from the rest of her. "I suppose we're finished here then. Where should we go next sir?" Mileena's smile became evident as she awaited the response with glee. "Your simple minds will never comprehend the depths of my despair. I will reveal my life's tragedies to you in pieces"

Hyouton Nero | Genin | Kirigakure "If it can be done... Nero wandered over to the gates. He was curious as to how good of a job he had done in finding workers. It was his "mission" so to speak, so he hoped he had done it right. Then again, he didn't really care much, if it wasn't good enough, he knew the kage would just get somebody else to do it. He looked over, seeing the gates complete was a good sign. He hadn't been gone more than a few hours...or so he thought. He looked up and saw the girl from before. His thoughts raced as he tried to put a name to the face, but couldn't. After a while, he remembered, stumbling upon it, thinking. Milly, Millana...Mileena! That's it. He thought to himself, glad to have avoided a potentially awkward situation involving name guessing.
He breathed a sigh of relief and walked forward. It looks good guys. Nice job." He told them, nodding his head at both of them. Rank: - Description: - [Chakra Pool: 35/35] [Stamina Pool: 25/25] ...it can be avoided." Battle Theme / General Theme

Mileena Mayu ~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~
The familiar voice startled Mileena slightly as her thought s were elsewhere at the moment. She looked around quickly, and to her not so great surprise, the bot from earlier was there, commenting on their work. 'If I remember correctly, Nero is his name'. Mileena stood her ground and turned her entire body around to face him. Her hand moved automatically to her pouch for the notebook that she always kept there, and she as surprised when her hand came back empty. 'Where could it be?' Her thoughts went back to earlier when she was racing down the street to get a broom for her only task at the gates. She must have dropped the book then. A sigh escaped her delicate lips as she eyed the boy uncomfortably, wondering if hers was a secret he could keep. She chanced it, deciding to trust him. "It's good to meet you again. We didn't have a chance to talk before, but I guess we can spare some time now. Did everything go well with you and that man?" Mileena made mention of the red-headed man who had come to the gates and left with Nero on a task from Deil. She wondered if their little skirmish had been resolved. Hyouton Nero | Genin | Kirigakure "If it can be done... Nero grinned, looking at Mileena. Her mouth wasn't moving, but he could hear her. It was weird, but he realized what was going on. It was strange, and he knew it, but he was careful about what he thought. He didn't want to be rude and accidentally call her weird right to her, he had no idea when she was listening or not. It went...good...I learned two new jutsu...can you read my mind? Or am I just talking to myself? He thought, trying to avoid being embarrassed. He put all his money on it, and said nothing, speaking only through thoughts. It turned out she could read his mind, and he breathed a sigh of relief, not having to worry about looking awkward being spoken to and not responding. Mileena Mayu ~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~
That was hardly the reaction Mileena had expected from a person who had been subjected to her abilities for the first time, save for Kiyoko, for the fact that she had the same abilities, and Deil, since he had already met Kiyoko by the time Mileena got to him. 'Maybe this will be easy', Mileena thought. Getting back to his initial response followed by a question, Mileena giggled. "That's good to hear. And no, you aren't crazy. I can hear every word you're thinking as if you've just spoken to me". Mileena couldn't help but scrutinize Nero's face. It was a study. One minute you would think that he's actually interested in what was going on, the next, nothing. She passed it off as no more than some defense mechanism to steer people in the wrong direction. "I'll let you in on this now. I come from a clan known as the Mayu. We...have this, thing wrong with us that forbids speech. I've tried so many time to speak, but my voice just doesn't work anymore. So I gave up trying a long long time ago". Mileena caught herself before she could go on. Why was she telling this stranger so much? She had met him only today and yet she had told him more about herself than she had with anyone else. She decided to let him do some of the talking before she could spill any more of her life's secrets. "So while we're waiting for Deil to finish up here, tell me a little about yourself". She stood in wait where she was for him to begin his mental monologue. "Your simple minds will never comprehend the depths of my despair. I will reveal my life's tragedies to you in pieces"

Hyouton Nero | Genin | Kirigakure "If it can be done... Well...I'm from the Hyouton clan, which I may have already told you....ummm....I don't really know any of my clans bloodlines yet. I umm...yea. That's about it...I'm not all that interesting, come to think of it....heh. He said, scratching the back of his head. He sighed. There must have been something else he could say. Oh yea, I invented my own jutsu too, almost forgot that. He told her, halfheartedly.
He wasn't ever really proud of anything he did, or accomplished. He sort of saw them simply as accomplishments, or completed tasks. He sort of viewed life as boring, and felt as though talking to people was a waste of time usually, as most people weren't worth talking to. This was a bit different though. Even though it was thinking, not actually talking, he considered it the same, and considered talking less, but then decided against it. He was interested currently. Reading minds was a hot topic for him, as of now. He wanted to know more, and what better way to learn it, than from a clan member personally. Not to mention, he was having a good time with this conversation. It wasn't as awkward as he had originally anticipated. As far as Nero was concerned, the more they talked, the better. Mileena Mayu ~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~
Mileena could empathize with him not knowing anyone of his clan members. She had been in his boat earlier, before she met Kiyoko, so it was a topic she understood well. The mood rose a bit when he mentioned how uninteresting he was. It caused Mileena to smile. Then he mentioned inventing his own jutsu. That, as far as Mileena could tell, was a feat. That being the case, why did he sound so disheartened when saying it? She walked over to where he stood boldly, until she was directly face to face with him. She slightly, ever so slightly, reached toward his face with her hand. She touched his cheek with that one small hand of hers, in hopes of relieving some of the sadness she felt coming from him. She looked up into his eyes, then her own opened wide as she realized how close she was to him. She shoved him away by the chest with as much strength as she could manage while her face went down in perplexity. 'What am I doing?!' She took a few steps back and watched him for any sudden change in reaction. Her voice became a barely audible whisper in his head moments later. "S...sorry about that. I don't know what came over me. I can feel people's emotions you see, and I noticed you didn't seem exactly happy, especially after telling me about your achievement. I was just trying to help". Her face was riddled with emotions as she fiddled with her fingers with a light pink hue forming on her cheeks. "Your simple minds will never comprehend the depths of my despair. Hyouton Nero | Genin | Kirigakure "If it can be done... Nero smiled. Admittedly, he was a bit happier than before, he was certain of that. He laughed slightly. Then he did something he hadn't done in years as far as he could remember. He blushed. The warm feeling in his cheeks, though almost invisible, was probably clear to her. If she was any good at reading minds, she would notice it immediately. The warm feeling he got was almost alien to him, and it was almost surprising. It took him a moment to realize what was fully going on. He considered taking a step back, but decided not to. No..no it's fine. It's good to know at least somebody cares, right? He thought.
She told him he had seemed unhappy. It was good to know somebody cared enough about the way he felt, to actually do something because of it. He hadn't really done much, other than just stand there. Even though it was sort of embarrassing at first, he felt better. He coughed, somewhat awkwardly, regaining his previous composure within a few moments. Mileena Mayu ~ Genin ~ Mayu Clan ~ Kirigakure ~
The silence that followed was like a gentle snowfall, soft and hushed,as soothing as the whisper of a summer wind, as quiet as the passage of stars. The lull in their conversation allowed Mileena a moment to think about what she had just done. Was it truly on impulse, or did she mean to do it all along? She dashed the thoughts and held her face downward. A heavy sigh fell from her lips as she heard her stomach growl, but of course she ignored it, as there was still work to be done around the village before her hunger could be sated. She looked up at in Deil's direction, hoping that he hadn't seen anything that had just taken place between her and Nero. Once again, she felt that urge in her stomach. She was regretting not eating more than she had at the restaurant. She nervously shifted her weight from foot to foot, the blush slowly fading away. The happy feeling that poured from Nero made the situation seem all the more awkward. Then almost immediately afterwards, he startled her with a cough that rung in her ears as it peeled through the gawky silence. She looked directly into Deil's eyes, begging, pleading, praying that he would find it in himself to step in at this very moment and finally give her the next task. It was a high possibility that Nero would be taking Kiyoko's place in their transient team, but at least she would have something to do that would surely distract her.
