This is my story~ A man looks out the bleak windows of his castle. The curtains, crimson red striking down, only showing a small crack to peer outside of the castle. The full moon hovering in the black night sky, looming over the foreboding castle and the modern city. Eyes from inside the dark, black castle glare at the unsuspecting city. The man closes the curtains. The next day, a letter arrives in the mail of a young woman named Jamie. Jamie is a woman who has just of college, resting in her hometown, Simon, Romania. Her major in college was world history and religion. She knows much information about history and could teach anyone. Her fascination for knowledge is immeasurable. She is always seeking more and more to learn. Jamie walks to her white mailbox and opens the box, reaching in to get the envelope. She takes it out and slowly walks back into her house. She realizes there is a gold seal with the mark of a crescent moon. She is shocked to see such a seal from she has never seen one before. She carefully opens the envelope, not breaking the seal. Jamie takes out the letter and begins to read it. It says, “You are cordially invited to attend an event of magnetic proportions at my castle. There will be a demonstration of how the beginning of the world began. I will send transportation tomorrow morning; you will reach my castle by nightfall and I shall be waiting outside of my castle to greet you. I hope you will be able to attend, I am very interested in seeing you here.” Signed, The Count After reading the letter, Jamie began to start packing for the trip tomorrow morning. She put everything she needed into her book bag she used for college. “This is going to be very interesting!” Jamie exclaimed as she put the letter back inside the envelope and it put it also into the smallest part of her bag. After packing, she laid down on her bed, taking a long sleep to get ready for the morning. The sun barely was rising and then there came horse hooves clopping on the street. The noise woke up Jamie. She raised herself out of her bed and peered out of her window. Jamie noticed a man with a top hat and a suave suit holding a rope. The long rope connected to the mouth of the one horse who was leading the carriage. Jamie quickly grabbed her bag, took out the letter, and rushed outside to the carriage. She looked up at the man who was steering the carriage and handed him the letter. The man didn’t say anything to her; he took the letter and nodded at her. Jamie led herself into the back of the carriage and sat on the floor. The ride started and it seemed as if a long one it would be. She started to nod off to sleep as the night approached. The carriage started to head into the forest that wasn’t very far from the town. The forest seemed very ominous in the nighttime. As she started nodding off to sleep, noises started to haunt the wind. Screeches and howls were heard from all directions. Wolves were prowling the area and they stalked the carriage like ravenous lions eating a hippo. Their eyes shone off the moonlight, Jamie started to become nervous and watch all around the carriage. Her head, moving back and forth, from left to right, and even behind her. Jamie became even more nervous as the howling stopped suddenly. The man kept leading the horse to the castle but then came to an abrupt stop. Jamie looked around her and realized there were wolves looking at them with savage intent. Jamie moved up and asked the man “How about we try and bust a path through the leader up front?” The man nodded and charged the horse through the leader of the wolf pack and the wolf jumped out the way as the carriage headed towards the castle again. The wolves rallied and started to storm after the carriage. The wolves chased it for a half a mile until the carriage finally reached the castle. The wolves then spread out and whimpered away from the castle in fear. The moon shone on the castle, showing its ancient, homely, and frightening aura. She looked at the castle with amazement. She jumped off the carriage and thanked the man. She waved as the carriage headed back into the woods and the in the darkness, they could not be seen. As Jamie walked towards the castle, she noticed the castle looked even more enormous than she saw from the carriage. She ran towards the huge staircase and looked up. Jamie saw a figure standing in front of the red doors with the black outline. A person in a dark cloak approaches her as she reaches the top of the steps. “Welcome to my castle...” He says. “Let me show you inside, you must be exhausted after your long trip here.” He started to walk towards the doors as they opened themselves. She again was amazed by the decor inside the castle. The lavish red draping, the clean furniture, the immense library, and the evening lit chandelier on the ceiling. He walked her to her room and asked, “If you need anything, my refreshments are right in the nook. Jamie thanked him and started to unpack most of her clothes and belongings. Meanwhile, the Count lustfully looked at Jamie’s body, looking at every single section, his fangs tingling with the desire. Jamie feels his presence and quickly turns around. She sees nothing, no one. Jamie walks to her window and notices the rain hitting the window. She says, “No going back now.” All of a sudden, Jamie notices bats fly from the direction of the castle out into the sky. She becomes suspicious but then shrugs it off and continues to unpack. She yawns and decides to lie in her comfy bed, putting her head onto the silk black pillow and cuddling under the red sheets. She lies, sleeping. The next morning, the sun arises and Jamie wakes up from her slumber. She yawns again, removing the sheets from herself and getting up from her bed. Jamie clothes looks for the bathroom inside the castle, wandering around sleepily. She stumbles onto a door with red hinges and cracks the door open to peek inside. Jamie sees a golden table in the center of the room, empty. Chains are above the table, hanging from the ceiling like stalactites. In the corner, there is a coffin with the same seal as on the letter. Jamie closes the door back and walks away, not realizing exactly what she saw. The beginning of the end. Soon, Jamie walks into the luxurious bathroom and quickly gets undressed to take a shower. After her shower, she retreats to her quarters and gets dressed properly to meet the Count. But as she noticed, he is nowhere to be found. She wonders to herself of his absence during the daytime but as she wondered she walked inside the dining room, seeing a new full banquet prepared for her. At her time spent here so far, Jamie has not seen any employees to help keep this castle standing. Jamie became very curious, she sat down and started filling her plate with every bit of food and a glass of white wine. The day slowly starts to fade into evening, the sky becoming orange as the sun sets. Out of the library, the Count arrives. He greets her with a customary bow and asks, “Did you enjoy your banquet?” “Yes, I most certainly did.” She responded to him, still curious. “I wanted to ask, why aren’t there any workers here, I haven’t seen any since I’ve came, and why aren’t there any more people, did you invite only me?” Jamie barraged him with questions. “Well, you seemed the most fitting to be introduced to my humble home. Most of my…workers are on, how you say, vacation.” He answered, showing his pointy, starving fangs. As Jamie picks up her glass of white wine, it slips out of her palm and slides past her arm, cutting it slightly. The Count gazes as the trail of blood leaving from her small gash.
