Toothless looked back at Snack hopelessly when she asked question. That didn't seem to work. The flower offering obviously wasn't what Snack wanted gone, and the little thing was still there.
He looked back at Willow. Snack didn't seem to mind anymore so it was probably a good time to investigate. His chin lowered to the ground so he could be at somewhat of an eye level with the little thing. How did it get so small? Did it have to do with 'veggies'?

Snack shook his head when Toothless looked at him, seemingly for help. Half because they weren't veggie eaters, as she put it, and half because he didn't know what to do. He'd never run into a mini that wasn't afraid of him, let alone one that seemed to be missing it's mind and thought they could all be friends. What a conundrum. He hated conundrums.
Willow was absolutely delighted when Toothless lowered his head. She pushed herself forward so that she was nose to nose with the demonic otter, then blinked slowly as she stared at him, before pulling back a little. "Are you a giant?" she asked. He was very big, she thought.

Giant? He thought he was Toothless! Was there another name from everything? Or was that just how the small ones went about busyness. Toothless was very confused at this point and his expression reflected this. Maybe giant was another name for something else.
Toothless shifted nervously before snorting and humming. "Murr..."
He looked back at Snack for more advice on this thing. Toothless didn't quite catch on with the head shake that Snack was in the same boat as he was.

However exasperating, although somewhat amusing, the mini was, he didn't think he could simply ignore it into non-existence. Snack moved towards the two deciding to meet the problem head on. He crouched down, narrowing his glowing eyes, "He not giant, you runt!" It came off rather harsh due to his irritation but he either didn't notice or didn't care (far more likely), merely huffing out a breath.
In reply, the mini turned to Snack staring at him for a moment the same way she had Toothless. She frowned a bit--looking as though perhaps she was finally realizing she wasn't wanted. "You're smaller. Are you a runt, too?"
His mouth lolled open comically and she giggled in response, looking at Toothless for agreement.

He had no idea what a runt was, but if Snack said so it had to be right! An awkward smile stretched across Toothless' mouth in a subtle agreement to Snacks' statement. Simultaneously his tail begun to sway slowly from side to side.
Smaller was a word he somewhat understood. Language in general was hard to comprehend, but he was learning. 'Smaller' had come up a few times in his experience, though never referring to him it seemed.
"Urrrrraoo!" He nodded and made a strange howling noise. Almost like a mixture between a dog howl and a whale call.
Smaller, they both were. So whatever was said afterward had to be right.

Willow was rarely surprised by anything but Toothless letting loose a howl--she about bowled over in such delight. In fact, she twisted about so fast to look at him that she fell backwards, landing right between Snack's front paws. Instinctively (or perhaps surprise), the feral ducked his nose to push her upright.
She thwacked her tail in lieu of saying a proper 'thank you' and bounded over to Toothless. She placed her front paws up on one of his and tried to imitate that amazing sound. It sounded nothing like the one made by Toothless. No, Willow's dog howling whale call was more akin to a musical sneeze.
It did however seem to be the exact thing needed to make Snack forget that he'd been called a runt--and that Toothless had agreed with it--for he let out a loud laugh. Perhaps this insane (and he thought that was putting it nicely) mini wasn't so bad to have around.
"Fuh-fun-kneeee," he managed to sputter between laughs.

It took a moment for Toothless to catch on to their amusement and link it to the blissful noise he had made just moments before. He felt proud to get such a positive reaction. His tail begun to sway to reflect this.
"Merueeehhh!" The awkward smile widened as he made this new strange noise. It seemed to be a laugh.
Willows attempt at the noise was even more amusing. It was the equivalent to a youngling call. At least that was the impression he got from it.
Another flash of light illuminated the sky followed ten seconds later by a soft clasp of thunder. Toothless was too amused to notice the weather, to the point even he had not noticed the rain had let up where they were. The smell was still in the air however.

The mini was much too happy to notice the lightning and she had never minded rain--she had fond memories of splashing about in the rain (though it often escaped her who exactly she'd done such with). She continued in her stance that looked much like an enthusiastic puppy letting loose another musical sneeze as the demonic's tail swayed.
Snack meanwhile climbed to his feet and came over to join the two. He thought about joining in the ridiculous howling song himself, even lifted his head towards the sky. Except he did notice the lightning and he made a face. They--even the insane one--should probably get back to his den for safety. At least for awhile.
They could take a nap! Which he thought sounded splendid. It was hard work not eating an insane mini. Even if he thought she'd probably taste bizarre what with all the rotting her mind had done.
"Storm still come, should go home," he decided.

Toothless looked up at the sky when Snack mentioned something about it. Another flash illuminated the sky. This time the thunder followed only six seconds after. It was moving in.
Toothless Sniffed the sky one more time before turning back to the two. It would be a good idea to go back to that den snack had. He was ready to follow.
"Grawr." He rumbled with a nod of his head.

With Toothless's agreement, Snack grabbed hold on the mini by the scruff of the neck and began heading back towards the den. If anyone asked, she was dinner--or something like that. He would've left her behind to fend for herself but he had called her friend--sort of--and she'd probably follow them anyway. Best cut to the chase and do it himself.
It didn't take long for the trudging group to find the feral's home, right in time to miss being drenched by the oncoming rain and avoid the possibility of becoming fried otter. Once inside, Snack curled up and yawned barely able to stay awake any longer. He hadn't noticed how long of an adventure they'd had and it caught up to him then. He was out like a light, not noticing how Willow reclined against him as she waited for Toothless to follow suit.
