There's a hybrid of lolita and steampunk, yes. It looks badass if done correctly c: Lolita is the general term for the sub-fashion. Lolita is really describes the shape and concept. The concept is modesty and elegance or cuteness. The main part of an outfit is the bell-shaped silhouette created by the skirt/dress. There's a lot of sub-genres like sweet, gothic, punk, sailor, pirate, etc. /lolita admirer examples:

I admire the lolita outfits as well; if I had the body for it, I would want at least one or two nice loli outfits to wear to places like conventions or parties. I'd just like other options when it comes to dressing my avatar xD

I voted for the tails dress... because it was sexay.
I figured that the Black Widow one would win... but to be honest I don't really like it. D;
The concept art was okay but the result of gaia manufacturing it was... less so.
><
As for Lolita style... I adore it! I'd love to be able to wear those clothes... but it would take a three hour drive to the closest store which would provide that style.
Steampunk? Ooooooh....

I think I would prefer to make my own loli clothes. I'd have to purchase the corsets, of course- but everything else I'd prefer to be custom. The style would be the same but my own flair on it would make it more fun to me xD

I like the overseers clothes but he was naked D:, plus the good guys always win and I hate that DX

I chose boo cause I thought the good guys would win xD I wish I had made my mule go boo instead so I could not change my avatar and keep the boo skin, I thought my avatar was pretty cool tbh

It is pretty cute. I have ONE mule still in BOO skin, and the avatar isn't great. She looks like a dandelion. I'd fix it up in a heartbeat if I wasn't afraid to lose the skin.
Granted, I LIKE that she looks like a dandelion- but I wouldn't mind her looking a little less gimp.
I'm really hoping that Gaia releases the skin to us in some way in the future because it was really pretty. The SIN skin is just fugly D:

I thought both skins were fugly XD both of them took a great concept to far and made it ugly.

I have a friend who makes her own Lolita stuff. It's pretty amazing.
The boo skin is ok, the other is horrible. Guess which one I got...

I wish I could sew. Of course I'm all left thumbs when it comes to the finer, more feminine arts, and I'm right handed. D:
If I could, then I'd make some loli clothes. Just to run around town in, while doing grocery shopping for a bunch of steaks or chasing little kids at the park with a water gun.... you know, just to make people go "Okay... wait.... what?"
I think that would be amazing.
Of course, everyone knows everyone so it'd get around that I was a weirdo freak pretty quick. But who cares? I'm leaving for college soon.

♦ ♣ ♥ ♠ Nobody really knows anybody in my town, so I can do what I want- or better yet, I can go into Columbus ten miles away and nobody will ever recognize me. There's more people within a ten mile radius of me than there are in some of the smaller/less populated states. And, I'm a failure at the fem arts too whee I made a very basic dress for one of my dolls once, it didn't turn out very well but it's wearable. Barely. BARELY. @Potatoverseer Skin: I think it's adorable too, but I've only managed to use it once because I don't like the worms on it and the face bugs me. When I used it, I had both covered- let me find the avatar I used....  I like having a dark skin to use that isn't super glossy like the chocolate skin that doesn't involve a permanent change like the potions. ♦ ♣ ♥ ♠

I've never actually seen any avatars that put the SIN skin to good use. At least the Potatoverseer skin got more glory.
