Ash-*faints and pee his pants* So what you're saying is, Ash looked in the mirror? no i dont believe ash and red are the same person. if you read the manga and watch the anime it really really different traits and styles. (just read 90 chapters of the manga yesterday so this is fresh) But you see, in most cases, the anime and manga usually follow the same story arc, and have the same characters. I have a hard time believing that they're different people.

i cant imagine them being same. though the only thing that is the same is that he is rival with gary aka green and he have a pikachu but his first pokemon is poliwag though and he lived a different way and blah blah. i would agree that they are the same but after reading the manga and lookin at the anime...just...arrgh it changes everything

I imagine Ash turning out the same way, the longer the anime progresses...manga tends to be a bit more ahead than the anime anyway.

Arcanas You sure? Last I checked, main reason why the games had Red and Blue for names was because the games were released before they had come up with the finalized names in the anime... And for written proof...thats not proof. red and ash are soo differnt its not funny. they may simiar but there looks and especially personalitys are vastly different

Hoshioni Arcanas You sure? Last I checked, main reason why the games had Red and Blue for names was because the games were released before they had come up with the finalized names in the anime... And for written proof...thats not proof. red and ash are soo differnt its not funny. they may simiar but there looks and especially personalitys are vastly different I can hardly see a difference

That's like saying Ed from the Full Metal Alchemist manga isn't the same Ed from the anime. Despite the drastic differences, they are the same person.

what about it? You've got a manga profile and an anime profile.
Can't base an opinion on those, since as time goes on, you'll see that as the anime catches up to where the manga is at, you'll see less and less of a difference between the two.
