Vance kept a tight grip on Mr. Bear, so elated to have him as his own. He nuzzled the bear's head as he listened to Tynne explain how her legs worked and what they could do. That all sounded like cool talents to have! "Kinda." He said in regards to his sliming hands and feet. "They get stuff dirty, and it makes daddy go 'HUFF', but I can climbs stuff with it, and catch bugs with my tongue." He proclaimed matter-of-factly. He then fretted a moment, and saw his hands were making Mr. Bear a little bit grimy. "Daddy has to wash my toys after I play with them." He moped a bit, still hugging Mr. Bear.
Ship? There was no way she mistook the word house for ship. That had to mean this house was a space ship. It just screamed extraterrestrial. Donovan walked into the new room, his jaw practically hitting the floor. This was amazing. It was everything he could ever dream up. The systems were so advanced it boggled his mind. The man walked around slowly, taking it all in, his gaze inspecting every little thing, just bitching to know how it worked. "I..." He stammered, blinking then looking back at Xai, still dumbstruck. "I'm... more than a little impressed." He said almost breathlessly. It was all so amazing.

Tyyne's legs were okay. Because of them she found herself staring at a lot of other girls wishing she could do the things they did, however. Such as dancing and being close to the people they cared about; her deer body and her antlers prevented her from doing those things. And she bumped into things behind her a lot. Oops. But...there really wasn't much she could do about that. She tilted her head and listened to Vance tell her about his slimy hands, looking sympathetic about his plight with making things dirty and his daddy getting upset about it. But it wasn't all ba--wh-what? "You can...catch bugs with your tongue? Like a frog?" That was...different. Tyyne blinked and looked down at Mr. Bear when Vance seemed to panic a little, smiling and petting his hair. "It's alright, Mr. Bear understands you can't help it! He won't get mad or huffy~. He loves you all the same!" She chirped to cheer him up. Tyyne didn't want to see Vance sad even for a second! A frown didn't suit a boy so adorable.
"Hmm...want to get a snack and see if my mommy will wash Mr. Bear for you, Vance? She can wash anything!" She even got paint out of Tyyne and Evari's clothes! And off the furniture...but the walls and floor somehow seemed to clean themselves. That had been odd to see.
Xai watched with wide blue and pink eyes as Donovan walked around the room in awe, feeling both proud and incredibly nervous. She understood the pride but the nervousness? That was odd. Xai didn't usually feel nervous about things! Why was she so nervous? She'd have to try and find out why later. When he finally turned to her and spoke in that breathless voice she grinned, giggling and clasping her hands behind his back and stepping closer to him. "Really? I'm glad you like it! Do you have any questions about anything~? Anything at all! I know everything about my home. I built most of it myself, after all. I did have to have some help from my parents with the main power core but...luckily they specialize in those so I won't be needing a new one for quite some time!" And from the looks of it 'quite some time' really did mean...a lot of time.

Vance nodded proudly, though he didn't care to demonstrate his ability yet. He wasn't outside with the bugs so there wasn't much of a point.
Mr. Bear wouldn't be mad? Vance smiled happily and cuddled his bear again with a good wiggle. Mr. Bear was wonderful! Vance decided he'd just have to wear his mittens more often so Mr. Bear could stay soft and cuddly. Vance looked up at Tynne when she made her offer, humming a bit with that same happy expression, swaying side to side. He finally nodded and wiggled a bit. "Kay!"
Donovan scratched his head a bit, feeling like a Neanderthal in comparison to Xai and her home. "Questions a plenty." He said a bit befuddled, not knowing where to start. "The power core, how was it made? How do you use it's energy to power everything?" That seemed like a good place to start.

Satisfied by his answer, and more than excited to get off this uncomfortable bed, Tyyne carefully climbed off the bed and stood on her feet. Ahhh much better. She fixed her shirt and stood beside her bed, a warm smile on her face. "I can carry you there~." He wasn't heavy at all, she was perfectly fine with carrying Vance around. Once he was on her back and settled she hummed softly and made her way out of her room with the little boy on her back, giving a curious glance down at the stairs in the floor as she passed them on her way to the kitchen. That was odd! She'd never seen those before...this place had a downstairs? Strange. Very strange.
They made it to the kitchen and Tyyne let him stay on her back, cautiously opening the fridge. Nutter was sleeping in the butter again...as long as he stayed asleep! Heh. "What would you like? We have um...pudding, jello...fruit...yogurt, some chocolate that Evari bought the other day and hasn't eaten." Oh, but if Evari found out she ate that she could get in trouble! There was also juice, soda, water and milk. What did Vance like though? ...Besides bugs.
Ah, of course he wanted to know about the power core. Xai frowned a moment and looked away, staring at a section of floor with an clear octagon-shaped panel, like a little window, with clear panels surrounding it on its eight sides like a sunburst. Strictly decorative purposes that design was...okay maybe not strictly. She needed to be able to see it. "Well this is it here." Xai gestured, gently placing a hand at Donovan's lower back to guide him to the center of the room where the core was. It was a brightly glowing light of...something. Xai just needed to figure out how to explain it without totally confusing him, and so she did her best! It was basically pure energy compressed into a visible form in a chamber. All Ursontaean technology to the last detail. Her halo seemed to spin faster and make that 'whrr' sound again like a computer's disc drive the longer she stood close to the core. It must have been because of the overflow of energy or something, because she wasn't concentrating that hard on anything.
"Anything else?" She chirped, actually quite excited to try and answer more of his questions.

Vance happily obliged to being carried on her back again, climbing on when prompted and smiling happily as he was taken to the kitchen. The fridge door was opened, and the small boy looked befuddled at the strange creature inside it. "Wassat? Does it come with the butter?" Maybe he was a butter spirit. Ooooh. He hummed over his choices, his finger pressed against his lips thoughtfully. "Who's Evari?" The other child had been mentioned to Donovan through Xai, but the missing girl's identity was new to Vance. Apparently the chocolate belonged to her...
"I waaaant....pudding." He decided finally, wiggling in anticipation.
That same shiver ran through him at her gentle touch to his lower back, moving to where she led him. The woman he usually hung out with were always boisterous and forward. Being gently coaxed here and there was different. He liked it. He thought he did anyway. It was just... different.
Donovan tried his best to grasp the information given to him, his mind relating what was being said to what he knew of energy sources. He somewhat grasped the gist of it. More than that, he was noticing her halo thing. Somehow he never questioned it until then. "Uuh... yeah." He didn't want to seem impolite or rude, but he gestured to her halo. "What exactly is that?"

Of course he noticed Nutter right away. Tyyne sighed and looked at the creature sleeping away in the butter, watching as it sleepily nommed on it without waking up. It even made noises as it did this. "That's...Nutter. He's kind of our, um..pet...thing? He was here before I was." Tyyne wasn't quite sure what to make of him. He ate their food a lot, and he drove Momma crazy. So maybe he was a bad thing? When the question of Evari came up Tyyne scratched at her cheek and glanced back at Vance. "My big sister. She's...kind of..." Crazy? Insane? Mean? She was all of those things, but she couldn't possibly say that about her sister. Evari was all those things but...she was Tyyne's big sister! "Evari is very unique." An understatement but it would work for now. She actually kind of hoped that Vance didn't have to meet Evari, since she wasn't the nicest one out there.
"Alright! What kind? Vanilla, chocolate...ooh we even have both together." Tyyne pointed out all three kinds, picking out the ones he wanted and grabbing a bowl of fruit for herself. That was her snack of choice today. She closed the fridge with her elbow and carried Vance to the living room where there was a coffee table they could both comfortably sit at. Tyyne carefully settled down to fold her legs underneath her body, waiting for Vance to hop off as she set his pudding and a spoon down wherever he sat. She nibbled on a slice of banana, looking at the stairway. That was so strange.
"Hmmm?" Xai's blue and pink eyes turned up toward the ring spinning above her head, smiling and giggling. He was so cute! "It is a data ring!" She said as if such a thing should be obvious, her eyes turning back to Donovan. "See, it's...like those strange plastic cards you all have in your wallets! This ring is all data about me! So...basically it's me! My name, my age, my sex, date of birth, even the things I like and dislike...height, weight...though I hate that. It's so rude, isn't it? Hm...I suppose it could also be compared to...a hard drive?" Xai hummed thoughtfully, tapping at her cheek. True, it could be damaged...and that was very bad!
"You see, if it is damaged or heaven forbid broken we could get very sick...if it's broken too much we could even...well..." Her smile faded into a frown as she trailed off, looking away for a second. She didn't want to think about that. Death by data ring corruption or destroying was just tragic. "It...um...it spins this way when we are proces--er...thinking. Or if we are near a power source as strong as this." Her foot tapped on the clear panel, smiling at Donovan again. Time to forget about death!

Nutter? And it was sleeping in butter? Vance giggled, seeming to be very amused. Nutter in butter. It rhymed! He could barely contain his muffled giggles, his hands covering his mouth, while his elbows held Mr. Bear in front of him. "He's silly. He's sleeping in the butter. Butter Nutter~ Nutter Butter~" He giggled happily again. This was apparently very funny.
Vance cocked his head a bit, wondering why Tynne seemed to be hesitating about speaking about her sister. Were big sisters bad? "What's You Neek?" What a weird word. This was all soon forgotten in the name of pudding. "Mixy one!" He exclaimed happily, wanting the one with vanilla and chocolate together. The toddler hummed happily as they made their way into the living room, carefully getting off of Tynne while trying to hold Mr. Bear at the same time. He landed with a small 'oof' and scuttled around the table to sit across from Tynne. Pudding~!
Was she a persona? An alien or maybe just a robot? Donovan was even more puzzled now. But he understood that the ring was basically their identity, almost like an ID or a hard drive. He somehow made sense of this. It seemed to be important. It was perhaps like a brain that hovered outside the head. After all, if someone suffers from brain damage, it's not always possible for them to recover, just like a corrupted hard drive. "Well, that's certainly something." He mused with a chin tap, still looking a little bit surprised. "I think I prefer my brain inside my head and my ID in my wallet." He joked lightly with a small chuckle.

Tyyne giggled along with Vance as he went on rhyming butter with Nutter. He was so cute! When asked what unique was she blinked, pursing her lips for a moment and trying to think of how to explain it. Evari was unique. Very unique. But what was...hm...well maybe...? "She's...special. There isn't anyone else out there like her." That much was true! As far as anyone knew Evari was the only glowing brat out there. She giggled at the little 'oof!' and pat Vance's head, opening the pudding for him and handing him a spoon. They could wait for their parents while they enjoyed their snacks! So far Evari hadn't even made an appearance yet! This was a good day.
"Do you have any brothers or sisters, Vance?" Maybe he understood? Probably not though.
Xai blinked and tilted her head a bit at his joke, turning her eyes up to the spinning data ring again. Her brain? But this wasn't her brain! "But my brain is inside my head." She said lamely, poking at the side of her head. Clearly she didn't get the joke. "All Ursontaeans are like this. We're born with them, the data merely changes to adjust." Like a computer! But Xai wasn't a computer...? Hm. Odd! Oh well! The changing lights in several screens in the wall caught her eye, looking past Donovan to watch Tyyne and Vance leave her room. The lights dimmed off in that room...and then turned on as they progressed through the house, turning off as they walked away. In the end the kitchen lights dimmed and the living room lights were the only ones left on. Good, if any other lights were on Xai would be worried! As long as it was just Tyyne and Vance she had no reason to be worried though.
"Anything else?" If they were finished in here she'd be perfectly fine with going upstairs to join the children for a bit! "I'm impressed! I've never told anyone from here about any of this in detail, or invited anyone over! I was worried you would feel overwhelmed or something!" Not that he was stupid just...well...it all made sense to Xai but that didn't mean it'd all make sense to everyone else. Or something.

Vance made a noise like he understood what Tynne said. So her sister was special? Maybe she was magic. Vance didn't reply and merely imagined a flying sister with laser beam eyes. Yes, that must be an awesome sister to have. She could do anything! Without thinking, while Vance imagiend the scenarios, he made sounds like a laser for a moment, with soft "pew pew"s.
Vance reached out and took the pudding and spoon, letting Mr. Bear fall in front of him as he sat down. "Ummmm.. nope! It's just me and Daddy." Vance answered, soon stuffing a big mouthful of pudding in his mouth. Mmmmm! He wiggled happily at the sweet taste, kicking his feet happily.
Donovan grinned a bit, shaking his head with a sigh. Maybe it was best not to try and completely understand this woman. May as well just pretend he understood. "No, I think I'mm all tour'd out." He chuckled. He smirked smugly at her comment, feeling proud he was one of few to be let into such an amazing room. "Overwhelmed, yes. But definitely worth it. It was enlightening." He smiled sweetly, taking Xai's hand and planting a small kiss on it before letting go. "It was a pleasure. I'm honored you'd spend such quality time with me." For Donovan, it wouldn't feel right not to lay on a few moves on this woman. Besides, this was the first woman he had ever met that he felt was on a higher level than himself. Most woman he hit on tended to be on the easy side.

Suddenly Vance was making strange noises. Little...pew...pews? Tyyne blinked, nibbling on a piece of melon and tilting her head, her ears perked. What were those noises all about? "Pew pew?" What did he mean by that? What a strange noise to be making! He was lucky though, he didn't have anyone in his house who was mean to him. Tyyne frowned a little at that mean thought, mentally shaking it away to instead eat a couple grapes. "Well, now you have Mr. Bear~!" She chirped, smiling again. She watched him eat the pudding and giggled at his reaction, kind of curious how it tasted herself. Tyyne had never actually tried the pudding...hm...maybe one day.
All toured out? Awww! But she didn't even show him everything! But if he was sure. Xai smiled, laughing a bit when he said he was indeed overwhelmed. Oops! But she was still impressed! When he took her hand she blinked, looking a little confused even as he kissed her hand. Why did her cheeks feel hot all of a sudden? Xai placed her other hand gently on one of her cheeks, pressing her fingers against her flushed cheek. What was this? Why was her face hot? She didn't feel sick! He let her hand go and it joined her other hand on her face, still blushing and blinking. She was...undoubtedly confused and surprised, it was all over her face. What was this? Why did her face feel so hot? This was strange! She'd have to find out why later.
"Um...n-no problem...it was fun! I'm always happy to...make new friends." Xai said distractedly, still trying to figure out what was up with her face. She couldn't see it right now, there were no mirrors in here. She decided to try and ignore it for now, rubbing at the back of her neck and trying to act as if she didn't feel strange all of a sudden. "So...the children seem to be eating in the living room," Xai pointed at that screen. "Would you like to go back upstairs then?"

Vance looked up at Tynne when she inquired about his noises. He stared straight at the girl for a moment, then slowly lifted his hands beside his eyes, pointing his index fingers outward to mimic laser beams and uttered; "Pew pew." Apparently that was supposed to explain it. He failed to realize he was the only one imagining Evari as a Flying laser shooting glow thing.
Vance nodded vigorously at the addition of Mr. Bear to the family. "Yeah! He'll be my little brother!" He said with a grin, looking rather elated.
Donovan noticed her flushed face, and her reaction. And needless to say, it boosted his ego. So, it was possible to play with the heartstrings of this girl? How wonderful. He flashed a handsome smile at Xai in return to her comment. Oh yes, a wonderful new friend. Donovan looked over his shoulder at the screen, finding the children rather easily since it was the only lit room from what he could tell. He chuckled a bit, noticing Vance was really enjoying his pudding. "Sure." He replied, turning back to Xai. "Shall we?" He nodded his head to the exit, and let himself out first, looking around at everything as he left the control room.

Tyyne watched as he pointed at her from his eyes, blinking again. She giggled and tilted her head again. "Why are you going pewpew? That's cute!" She laughed, eating some more fruit. When he said Mr. Beat would be his brother she perked up a bit, smiling brightly and perking her ears again. Awww! That was adorable! He was making her happier and happier for having given him Mr. Bear, glad that he could go to someone who already loved him so much. Tyyne didn't like spending much time indoors...so...her toys wouldn't be getting much love from her, not as much as they deserved. Hmm, maybe she could find more children to give her toys to! "I'm sure he'll be very happy to be your little brother, Vance!" Tyyne chirped excitedly. Maybe he'd want more of her toys? So far he only showed interest in Mr. Bear, though!
Xai noted the smile but merely smiled back, not realizing he was trying to...well...hit on her. Or something. She was oblivious to all moves he had put on her today, really. When he turned away from her she sighed with relief, putting a hand over her fluttering heart. Strange...heart palpitations? Was she really getting sick?! Her other hand gently lifted to her spinning data ring, very lightly brushing a finger against it. Nope...it wasn't damaged...damn. What was wrong with her?! She blinked and nodded suddenly when he turned back to her, watching him walk past her. How strange. Xai followed him up the stairs, putting her hand against the wall at the bottom of the stairs to close and reset the code. She hummed quietly as she made her way up the stairs behind him, looking around until she spotted the children at the coffee table.
"It's so nice to see everything not a mess~! Are you two having fun?" Xai asked the pair with a bright smile, gently guiding Donovan with a hand against his lower back away from the stairwell so it could slide closed. Once everything was safely in place she stepped away to walk over to where Tyyne and Vance were, sitting down on the couch near them. Phew! Today had been an exciting day so far! Tyyne nodded.
"Mhm! We're having snacks." As if that wasn't obvious enough.

Vance smiled at Tynne when she asked him that question, putting his hands back down to hold his pudding. "It's lasers~." He said in an amused tone. "For when she flies! She flies in the sky and shoots the lasers." He explained to his friend knowingly, taking another mouthful of pudding. The boy didn't think to explain that he was talking about Evari and the mental image he had already made of the missing girl. Vance looked down at Mr. Bear, happy and proud to call the plush toy his brother. Too bad Mr. Bear can't do chores with him.... or could he?
Donovan let himself be led away from the door when Xai urged him to do so so she could shut it, sliding his hands in his pockets then following the woman into the living room. Vance turned around quickly, recognizing his father's footsteps. "Daddy! I got pudding! And a BEAR!" He grinned, holding up Mr. Bear. Donovan pretended to look surprised, 'ooh'ing at the bear. He was only slightly worried the pudding would ruin his appetite for supper. Oh well. A treat was a treat. "Did you say thank you?" He asked Vance. The boy paused for a moment. He honestly couldn't remember, so he turned to Tynne and exclaimed; "Thank you!"

For when she flies...wait...who flies? Who's flying? Tyyne looked very confused again, unsure of who this 'she' was. Wait...did...did he mean Evari?! Tyyne's eyes widened and she quickly shook her her head, her fingers pressed to her lips. Evari with laser beam eyes and flying? Oh no! Nonono! That was a bad idea! "A-actually she...doesn't do either of those. She glows. And she makes loud fireworks." Really loud fireworks that scared her. Evari had the nasty habit of coming up behind Xai or Tyyne and snapping her fingers. Thankfully the arrival of their parents distracted her from her worries, smiling again as Vance told his father about their current adventures to date. Yes, he got a bear. It pleased her that even Mr. Donovan seemed to be impressed by it! He was totally impressed! That surprise was genuine all the way!
Tyyne giggled and nodded toward Vance as he thanked her, reaching over to give him a hug. He was so sweet! "You're very welcome, Vance!" She chirped, letting him go and patting his head. Xai chuckled at the scene, looking up at Donovan with a bit of disappointment. Oh dear...were they going to leave soon? Darn! She liked spending time with her new friend! She gave a little pout for a moment. Maybe ask him to stay for dinner? Oh, but then he'd encounter Evari...and while she did love Evari she didn't want to scare off a brand new friend with her crazy daughter. She would no doubt see Vance and accuse Xai of bringing home yet another sibling, not listen to reason, throw another fit and leave home...again. Ugh. Guess staying for dinner was out of the question.
"Oh! Ummm...would you like to exchange phone numbers? Since Tyyne and Vance get along so well she's definitely going to want to see him again!" Honestly, it really was the truth. Tyyne liked Vance, Vance liked Tyyne! Why shouldn't they be able to call each other!

Vance might have been disappointed to hear Evari didn't fly or shoot lasers, were it not for the fact she glowed and made fireworks. Vance's eyes glimmered with eagerness to meet this person, eating more of his pudding thoughtfully, squeezing his eyes close with a happy noise. Such good pudding!
Vance was all too eager to return the hug he was given, giggling happily as he gave the older girl a tight hug. Or at least as tight as a toddler could muster. Donovan raised his brows with a keen smirk on his face when Xai proposed they exchange numbers. That was easy! He didn't even have to initiate it. "Certainly. They get along so well, it would be a shame if they couldn't see each other again." He kept that confident smile on his face as he spoke, getting out his cell phone. It was just easier to add the number in there, since it was basically his address book. "Just home phone, or cell too? Or maybe you aren't up for more one on one time with me?" He asked smoothly, giving the woman a passing look from his phone to her. Was he playing with her? Maybe.
