"I see..." Soujirou said in mock understanding. He really didn't though, because...there was nothing TO understand. Herieo had talked about his zanpakuto for what felt like a really long time, but he hadn't actually talked about what it did. He didn't mind that much though, because he knew that his friend would somehow wow him and make his jaw drop. Not to mention showing him some super cool move that only he could pull off or think of...."Wait a minute. Did he totally ignore everything I said except for the very last sentence?"
Soujirou just had to let out a somewhat annoyed/depressed sigh. He knew that he would have to show his friend and possibly his captain the "shikai" that he had learned with Kiisho. But, he was afraid. He was afraid of what he would become when it activated. He was afraid of not being able to change back. He was afraid that his friend would resent him for his shikai, no matter how stupid that actually sounded out loud. He was afraid, and there was nothing he could do about it. Events in his life were speeding up like a bullet train, and soon that train was going to lay him out.

"..Hm? You seem kinda down all of'a sudden~.. What's wrong, buddy..? Something weird on your mind? I got this feeling after that deep, depressing sigh of yours!" Smiling, the teenager slowed to a complete halt, outstretching his left arm at the same time. In this motion he attempted to catch Hitsugaya by the collar and then lift him off the ground from behind. His facial expression was pretty calm the entire time, having no fear in his ability to easily lift his smaller friend. "You should tell me what's up! We are sorta best friends, and junk! If there's any problems, we ken' get over it together, aye..?" Grinning still, Herieo turned slightly to peak over his shoulder and examine where the rest of the squad was a few minutes ago. It would seem a few of them had literally left the area, leaving only the two of them, a straggler maybe, and the captain. "I know what'll cheer ya' up! I'LL LET YOU BORROW BLUDGEON!" Wait... What?! "Yeah! That always cheers me up! Havin' the privilege of swinging around something so big, buster sword-ish, and blunt always cheers me up! Why, last Tuesday, I was upset cuz' one'a my guitar strings popped.. Wouldn't ya' know that slamming Bludgeon on top'a some hollows face cheered me right up! The thing's magic, I tell ya'!" The naive child's feeble attempt was meant to cheer up his friend in this time of need, but.. An odd feeling lingering in the back of his mind pointed to this not truly being a good solution to the problem he was ever-so-oblivious to.

Soujirou smiled weakly. "I don't think that I'm strong enough to hold Bludgeon, but thanks for offering." Well, that wasn't exactly true. He was strong. Probably strong enough to even lift Bludgeon and swing it around. He just didn't want to swing it around. "I'd rather not tell you about it right now. Maybe in a little bit, because our captain will probably ask or something, too." With that, he sat down and waited.

Eme had zoned out for a few moments, feeling the wind gently caress her cheek. Once she had finally came too, she opened her eyes only to see that some of the squad have already receded to the barracks, leaving only a few and her new associates, one of she knew as Herieo.
"Umm..umm... Herieo." She said, snapping her fingers to jump start her memory. She walked toward him, digging her hand into her uniform looking as if she was searching for something.
"You're going to need this. You're now recognized as the vice-captain of this squad. I suggest you to act accordingly. I would rather deal without any embarrassments. And for you..." She said, making mention of Soujirou. She handed Herieo his Vice Captains badge.
"I do hope that you're here in regards to joining the squad. Though the squad is slowly growing, we still welcome most applicants. Now, unless either of you need or anything or have anything else to say, I'm going to return to my office. I'm going to have to burn off this extra energy somehow."

Soujirou jumped in surprise as soon as he heard another voice. "Eep!" Yes, he wasn't the manliest shinigami out there. Oh well. "Uh...uh..." Stop stuttering! "Yes. I'm Soujirou Hitsugaya. I'm..." He paused because he had absolutely nothing to say. "Err...Herieo's friend." Like the smart kid he was, he decided that he would stop talking for now. Well, he would stop after this one last thing. "Good bye, ma'm."

Orcus finally stood up straight and stretched out slowly. He could barely open his eyes, he felt weak and tired. Not really wanting to sleep on the grass he began to stride towards the squad barracks. Then he began sprinting and then running. He was more tired than ever before but he was going to try to stay awake for as long as possible.
As he ran he thought to himself about the technique and how, if at all, he would be able to use it. He would have to find good opponents to practice on. Some that wouldn't be able to knock him out as he attempted the technique but that wouldn't hold back. That would be a tough find but he would find it.

Turning slowly, Herieo put on a smile and reached out to grasp the badge. Without the behavior he'd shown while performing any of his previous antics, the boy began to adjust the badge onto his left sleeve. Once complete, he knocked on the little brownish tablet and nodded towards the woman while still looking at it in the corner of his right eye. "Thanks, miss Emily~.. I'll be sure to tone'et down.. Around you at least. Heheh.. No worries though! Me an' Htsugaya here are tough! We'll be sure to do good by your name and the squads!" Winking playfully, he began to turn back towards his blubbering friend. It would seem as though he was nervous to some extent. Herieo couldn't help but giggle at this, surprised that his accomplice could ever show such reactions. Leaning forward slightly, Herieo began whispering. "Psst! Hitsugaya?! Why're you so shakey?! She's just our captain lady! I see girls her age working at the ice cream shop all the time.." Happily, Herieo took a step to Hitsugaya's side. Once there, he gave the woman a childish salute. "Maybe me n' you should explore now~ This Seireitei place is pretty huge! Not to mention the fact there are like, a bazillion, outskirt regions! This place is'like some big army, government, city, base! There must be a buncha cool people n' places.. Aren't there, like, more divisions too?! Maybe we should go meet some of the other vice captains!" Herieo began making plans for there exploration already, head turning every which way in search of the pile of items he'd dropped off earlier.

"...Riiiight. I would prefer you keep that as a constant." She cleared her throat before preparing to make her leave. She tilted her head slightly side to side.
Maybe listening to those recommendations were a bad idea... This is starting to look like a babysitting job. But I'm sure it was like this for others. This is but only a trial. I can handle this no problem.
"Well now, I suppose you two can go re-immerse yourselves into Sereitei. Herieo, attend to my office in a few hours. I will not accept tardiness. You have till nightfall." She said, passing by the two boys, and making her way to her office.

Soujirou waited until their captain left. Then he turned to his friend and stared at him. Blahblahblahblahblahblahblerp was the only thing he could hear from his friend, because he was in deep contemplation/thought/that thinking thing you do when you're actually serious. He needed to make a choice right now, and that was whether or not he wanted to tell the truth to his friend. Well, here goes nothing.
"Herieo!" Soujirou screamed. "Attack me!" He said in such a way as to convey his feelings of sadness and anger. The anger wasn't at Herieo though; it was at himself. "Hit me with your strongest attack!"

Veltex shook himself to consciousness, and left. He was astonished at how powerful that leeching technique was, and he really wanted to begin learning it, but that would have to wait. With a sigh, he went with the others, to get into the Barracks.

Split second responses are serious business. "OK!" In a few moment's notice, Herieo stepped off a foot or two away from his friend, wasting no time in releasing a noticeable mass of spiritual pressure. This concentration of energy soon became tangible around his right arm, circulating wildly. "HEROIC EFFORT!" And there it was! Herieo's fist, at that moment, began to glisten and explode with wild spiritual energy. Without any sign of letting up, the boy cocked back his arm, and crouched slightly, rocketing off seconds after to help in launching the hefty attack towards his friend. Why, you ask, was he doing this..? Pfft, heck if he knew! His friend had simply asked him to perform a task, unexplained, and he expected himself to be capable of completing it at the moments notice if that what was required of him to make it really go as planned. He also trusted that his buddy had a legitimate reason of some sort, to explain why he was tasked with attempting to knock him into next week with such an over-exaggerated punch! "Here ya' go, buddy!" This was all Herieo thought to himself mid-descent, having no regret in what he'd just began (and didn't plan on stopping).

Soujirou smiled. He loved how his best friend didn't mind doing him a favor or two, no matter how absurd it was. Even though practically getting killed probably wouldn't be considered much of a "favor". Well, as he was thinking about whether or not getting smacked into the next year was a favor, it hit him. "It" being his friend's fist, and "him" flying through the facility. And that's when another thing hit him. It was very bright and loud, and it was called "lightning".
Somehow, the lightning managed to go through the facility and into Soujirou. Bad luck? Yes. But not in the way you're probably thinking. It wasn't bad luck that the lightning hit him; in fact, that was probably a good thing. The bad luck part was that he needed to be smacked halfway across the squad to activate his shikai. He couldn't do it by will. And he couldn't control it, either. So ladies and gentleman, presenting....NINE TAILED FOX SOUJIROU! SUPER SOUJIROU!
It pushed itself from the rubble of the wall and ceiling. When the smoke had cleared, Soujirou wasn't "there" anymore. What was there simply couldn't be called...human, so to speak. It looked feral; frayed hair at the ends, cat-like azure eyes, fangs protruding from the lips, and long nails. As well, it was...glowing and electricity was coming off from it.
It didn't even move naturally. Every step left a slight after-image behind him. It didn't move naturally, as well. It pretty much strode across the ground like it was walking on air. It leisurely made it's way to the area where Soujirou had been "flung" from. But once it saw Herieo, it crouched low to the ground and stood on all fours. "RAAAAAGGGGGH!" It roared, creating a shockwave of electricity. It sprinted straight for Herieo, bounding just behind the flying shockwave.

"Hm..?! I didn't know I hit that hard.. Henh, and I did'ent even need to use Hero!" Excitedly, the teenager clenched both fist tightly, bracing himself for the electric charge heading towards him! Both of his gloves were emitting small, bubble-like, orbs of spiritual energy that seemed to vacuum out of the knuckle slits at high speeds. When he clenched his fingers a second time, the orbs sharpened into dull-bladed talons that rounded about and protruded awkwardly in crescents between his knuckles. These white and blue glowing bracers were small build-ups of compressed energy with a feel similar to that of Herieo's 'Heroic Effort'.. They were all, obviously, toned down on a higher scale and posed no threat to someone of Hitsugaya's current level. "This must be your release, hunh buddy..?! I get'et! Ya' wanted me to hit ya' so we could get riled up for a little fun! I'm totally game!" And now, it was officially on! Herieo, copying Hitsugaya's charge, flew forward while hovering a few feet off the ground. On either side of him, dust from the ground below veered off in response to his thrusting take-off! "RAHH! LET'S GO!" Smiling as he neared his friend, the boy brought forth a swift right jab, aimed downwards to that it may attempt to land on the boy's cheek. The talon-like bracers that complimented his gloves were dispersing at the same time he brought down his fist, giving the subtle impression that the technique was evaporating, and covering the boy's entire arm in a streaming torrent of energy. He wasn't yet planning to use anything close to his full strength, mistaking the atmosphere of this fight to be made from pure adrenaline.. Not actual rage and killing intent. "..Get this!"

It roared again and sent off another shockwave. Then, it slid right under Herieo as he swung towards him. It used his left leg to stop itself and turn around before Herieo had the chance to realize what was going on. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" It actually screamed this time, in pain and anger. Tears started to flow out of its eyes, but at the same time, a large ball of reiatsu was forming at its mouth.
As the reiatsu ball was forming, something happened. The figure conveyed all of the memories of Soujirou's shikai training to Herieo. How he met the spirit, how he had to stand in the middle of a blizzard, and how his anger had consumed him and turned him into what he was at this moment. All the while, the ball was still forming. And it would be fully charged by the time Herieo was done looking at the memories, if he decided to look at them.

(Dramatic Post is Dramatic?) Surprised at his miss, Herieo decided to follow through his with his attack's directional momentum. This act caused him to propel forward, stopping only after his head was a few feet from the ground. His body was vertical once more, but upside down as he hovered above the ground. Having expected a quick physical retaliation, the boy was surprised at the jolting shockwave that nearly paralyzed him in his awkward state. Attempting to take the moment to assess what the hell just abruptly hit him, he found himself shutting his eyes tight.. This resulted in something very odd. When his eyes reopened, they were glossed over, and a dull gray tint. Several distinct images, and 'clips', repeated quickly in front of his eyes. He felt frozen in time for at least five minutes there before the images finally slowed to a reasonable speed that his vision could focus on.. He watched as the images began to piece together before one long film came rolling over into his head. Snow..? Sadness..? Anger..?! It was revealed to Herieo, at this point, that the sadness and depression he'd been mistaking for adrenaline was fueled by what he was forced to stare at. Outside of his visions, his spiritual pressure took a drastic drop, the only expelled energy coming from the very small usage of his air-step to keep him afloat upside down. "..H-Hitsugaya...?! Is that really you I'm looking at..? It can't be! You look so.. different. I'm not used to seeing you like this.. I won't force myself to see you like this anymore either!" Once the images began to haze over, he was allowed to blink finally, his eyes tightly closing then opening to the sight of a teary-eyed Hitsugaya charging a mass of spiritual energy. Herieo, not ready for what he had just seen, was completely at a loss for words.. "T-That mass of energy! Dammit, that's way too fricken' much to get hit by! Let's try'an cover it Hero!" Working from pure reactions, Herieo's odd floating position tilted to the right, bringing him to an upright position floating off a the ground. He stared at the charging ball of energy with a serious expression, at the same time landing down on his feet. Both arms came out horizontally in front of Herieo, the palms open and facing Hitsugaya; the two hands interlaced, one behind the other, making a very odd defensive pose. Wincing as he braced himself on the ground mere yards in front of his friend, the boy shouted; "Aim'et at this! I'll hold'et back!" He growled, spreading both legs out to shoulder length. It would seem that he was finally willing to use his already released weapon, a separate source of energy beginning to become more apparent the longer he stood there. This pressure was similar to Herieo's original type, but had this distinguishing aura of maturity. It almost made it seem as though a second entity was standing behind the teenager, urging him to do what he'd just prepared himself to do; this entity was Distant Hero.
