Alister had gone back to the dorm with Harry and the others, talking magic with Hermoine, before retiring for the night.
Next Morning
Alister was up and ready bright and early, and already on the way to his potions class relatively early, one of the first ones inside the potions lab. He hyad a seat near Ron and Harry, and had a notebook pulled out with a quill and was dating his page when the new girl stumbled in. He turned in his seat, worried that she may have hurt herself, before turning back around as he relaxed.
Snape seemd... A lot like the rumors about him said. It was somewhat intriguing actually.

Tank in the halls..
Jade sat in the Great hall, eating attempting to squelch the hunger that swimming in the lake it was uneventful last night so he just slept it away, only hearing something sturring in the common room.. was still in his fur coat his Hogwart's cloak was under them as for his first stop was food. the plate was embellished with meat and other things that would help him get a boost out of his workout this morning. the male scoffed the fact he was much taller and had a better bulid than most of the students, as the male made his way to the common room.." Open! " left his mouth after muttering the password. the door flew open because he was glareing at the still life painting. the male could see the common room tossing the coat on the chair.
The male made his way out and down the stairs as they where moving he jumped to the landing that lead up a flight of stairs. then walking down a hallway that lead to a door.. the male flug open the door and perred in it " More stairs...! At home stairs are not as many." he spoke out loud as his footsteps ecoed down the hall, the male fritted no time tapping a small bag to let his books be pulled out..the male could hear the voice of students as he snuck in but his size it was like trying to hide a wall. Jade took a seat in the back away from the one Dubed 'Snape.'
((I know it sucks lol....))

Kristophe smiled at Alister when dinner was done and they were getting ready to head to their respective common rooms "I'll see you around hm?" Nodding he left. Hermione grinned "I would love to know more! Tomorrow at lunch? I'm afraid theres not much use practicing in the common room with so many students" She got up, heading off with Ron and Harry.
The twins grinned "Well, in truth- "We like to make jokes-" "and so one day hope to open our own-" They both grinned "Joke shop" Fred smiled "Seems its time to go though, we'll see you around then Arabeth" they stood, heading out with the other 7th years.
Potions the next day was...odd to say the least, a small selection from each house had been chosen from each house, 6 kids each, mostly the exchange students and those most interested in advanced potions. Kristophe had tried to keep Ron from being...well...Ron, but it was fail on his part. He shook his head in his seat next to Alister.
Niyne had indeed woken to himself being drawn and really, he didnt give a damn, merely closing his eyes again unnoticably like he had never woken to begin with. Waiting for him to finish as he all but lounged in the chair. When the male did finish and had left along with everyone else Niyne remained in the seat awhile longer before getting up to head to bed, his bed was next to Tomas'. He stripped down to his undershirt and boxers before climbing into his own bed to sleep.
Come the next morning though he was up and dressed without much of a thought to the morning, let alone any one else. After the silence of breakfast, since he wasnt really awake to converse right anyway, he headed to the advanced potions class, arriving late since he had to get directions from a ghost, earning a remark from Snape. "Well...another late student, I suppose because your a Ravenclaw you think you can arrive late...well you'll find in this particular class it doesnt matter who you are, 10 points from Ravenclaw" The man sneered.
Niyne simply stared at him with those lavender eyes, unbothered before he spoke "And? You think I care what you think?" There was stunned silence, even Snape looked surprised at the remark. It wasnt sarcastic, just very literally strait forward and blunt. He took a seat at the table next to Tomas in the Ravenclaw section.
A Slytherin girl had watched in amusement, she hadnt laughed Ron like her fellow Slytherins, then again she was a transfer student, not used to the Slytherin ways if she chose to abide by them. She certainly hadnt sat with them, sitting instead closer to the other transfer students while essentially being by herself...despite the fact that Draco was sitting next to her, still trying to gain her favor which she ignored completely.
Everyone in the room was watched by a pair of seemingly green eyes belonging what could have been the average Hufflepuff student. He smirked to himself, for 4 years now hed been secretly looking for recruits, and new students were always a joy, especially young and easily corrupted 1rst years. These transfer students were interesting though, already hed seen favorable qualities in each one of them.

Brandy thought carefully before answering him. She hadnt really spent that much time in the common room but she tried to remeber what little she'd seen in her rush for bed. "Its nice." she said simply. "Much warmer than Beaubatons and more inviting." She jumped when the strange girl crashed into the door. She giggled quietly at the girl but hoped she was ok. She was glad she was not in hufflepuff but sighed when the boy with the beautiful eyes got them the same punishment EDIT

Snape approached his lecturn as Ninye took her seat. He tapped his wand against the surface loudly to get the attention of the class. "Quiet, all of you." He said sternly, "Open your books to page two hundred-seventysix." On the page he'd assigned was an image of a small specked bird. The surrounding text revealed much about the bird, but it took Tomas a moment to skim through it. "Who can tell me about the Jobberknoll? Anyone?" He announced while scanning to room for non interested students. Before he could even finish his statement, The Granger girl's hand rocketed up in the air. Snapes eyes rolled as he reluctantly accepted her answer. "The Jobberknoll is a tiny blue speckled bird that makes no sound until the moment of its death, when it lets out a long scream consisting of all the sounds it has ever heard; their feathers are important ingredients in making potions that affect memory enhancement." She lectured. Envoking a few groans from other students."Correct." Snape returned. "You have all been tested on creating forgetfulness potions. I trust you've all brought your Jobberknoll feathers. Today you will attempt to create a memory enhancment potion, the formula for which you will find on page twohundred-seventyseven." He pulled his cloak tighter. "Keep in mind that a failed attempt often results in a forgetfullness potion. So show caution when testing your brew." Tomas examined the formula. He didn't find it too complicated and began prepping his cauldron. What was on his mind was Granger. He found it odd that someone as overly well read as her didn't get sorted into Ravenclaw. She was clearly qualified with her IQ.

Meg Potions Class Meg had never been particularly good at potions. She had never been good at cooking either, in fact anything she tried to make would either burn, explode, and ,in rare occasions, be far to potent. Unaware of her lack of skills she had taken the class anyway only knowing that potions caused explosions that were always fun. As she set up her cauldron she started to hum. It was a tune she had written yesterday on the plane and car ride down to Hogwarts. It was rather lovely and had a gentle mystical sound to it, but it was still just her humming. Snape, being easily annoyed came right up to her and leaned in on her. This caused meg to bend back in surprise. "What, may I ask, are you doing?" She blinked at him and cocked her head to one side, "hummin'." She said it plainly and with a hint of her accent which made it all the more annoying. Snape straightened up and said with a frown and said, "I don't know how they did things in America, but here you will not hum." Meg just blinked at him, curious. "Why do you do that?" Snape sneered, "do what?" Meg leaned forward causing him to step back, "that," she said innocently. She really meant no harm she was just curious. Snape, though, took offense and replied harshly, "I do this," he leaned in again,"so that students pay attention and don't goof off. There will be no more humming whistling or other annoying sound just potion making, is that clear Miss Elliott." Meg nodded a little confused but otherwise fine. When Snape walked away she said to no one in particular, "Isn't he nice, making sure I do my work, what a great professor!" She had several students staring dumbfounded at her wondering what the heck she was thinking. Meg just continued working on her potion, not bothering to measure ingredients and, throwing random pinches and pieces in when she thought she should. Thankfully no other student had been stupid enough to take a seat next to her, which was in front of Snape's desk anyway. After several moments her potion began to bubble turning light blue, "is it supposed to do that?" she said aloud again to no one in particular.

Alister looked back as the late hufflepuff asked if her potion was doing what it was supposed to. His own potion had turned a clear color, after glowing for amoment with the same shade of blue... But the girl's still seemed to be glowing. She didn't make a forgetfullness potion..... They don't glow that color... Which has me wondering what she's made... He thought, about to get up, before Snape headed in her direction, frowning. "It seems that in your ignorance, you've managed to make a rather potent recall potion... Could you tell me what you used in it?"

Brandy quietly opened her book and began mixing and measuring different ingredients. She used to study and read books about potions all the time at her old school, but this was the first time she'd ever actually made one. Despite her inexperience she was optimistic about the outcome of this current concoction. She always followed direcions very well and soon began to glow. Soon the glow faded and the liquid turned ligh blue. "Sucess!" she whispered under her breath.

Meg Potions Class “umm, well…give me a moment I’ll remember.” Meg tapped her chin pointed at several ingredients then shook her head. "Well this worked last time I forgot..." she said as she dipped her finger in the potion and placed a drop on her tongue. Her eyes widened, her pupils dilated, she stared straight ahead as if she couldn't see what was in front of her. Meg drew in a breath and in a single continued speech she not only explained every ingredient in her potion, the order, she put it in and the amount, she also explained she had made this potion before but always forgot how she made it. After that she went off reciting every state in several countries, 200 spells in alphabetic order, and every note, rest, time signature, and repeat of Rhapsody in Blue for each instrument. Her eyes returned to normal and she looked over at Alister. "Did I remember?" She cocked her head and looked genuinely innocent in every way. She really didn't remember what she had just said.

Snape arched a brow at the Hufflepuff, before walking on. Alister watched him go, grinning at Meg. "Wow... That's some pretty potent stuff you've got there.... You remembered the potion order, states and countries, quite a few spells, and some music of some sort..." He said, looking back at his own potion, which was done and cooling. Now that he looked at it... It was a pale blue, very pale, easily mistaken for clear.

Quote: . . . "Correct." Snape returned. "You have all been tested on creating forgetfulness potions. I trust you've all brought your Jobberknoll feathers. Today you will attempt to create a memory enhancment potion, the formula for which you will find on page twohundred-seventyseven.". . . ((Just so we're clear on what potion we're acctually making, lol.)) Tomas looked up for a brief moment to see Snape denying Meg the credit she deserved for creating probably the most potent form of the potion he'd ever heard of. If one drop threw her into a recital of any available informaition that popped into her head. The proper dose of about two or three tea-spoons would likely prevent any true recollection of memory since her knowlegde would spew from her mind in similar bursts as before. Still, one had to admire her odd form of intelligence. She was so randomn it was brilliant.
Tomas returned to his brew and finished stirring it until it had become the prescribed light blue color. Before testing the brew he focused his mind on a subject. Ninye's portrait he'd started came to mind. With this on his mind he took a small laddle and dipped about two tea-spoons worth of liquid into it. After a quick sip, he immediatly recalled every detail of the boy, especially the swirling color detail of his eyes. "This is perfect", he thought to himself as he brainstormed how easily the painting could be accuarate if he kept a vile of this for later. Quite proud of himself, he spooned somemore of the draught into a vile and stowed it in his robe. After patting the outside of the pocket he'd put the vile, looked at Brandy's light-blue brew. Keeping his voice low as possible to avoid bringing Snape on him. "Looks right. Does it work?"

Arabeth sat silently in a corner while hiding behind her textbook. She noted how unfair Professer Snape had been, but set the thought aside momentarily. She was now intently focused on Potions, which happened to be her worst subject. Arabeth had never before seen the point of dealing with random chemicals and making explosions, since she was going into Journalism anyway. At Beauxbatons there were no classes required for outside of your chosen field. Arabeth let out a sigh. And so would begin her new life at Hogwarts.

Brandy looked back and forth from the potion to Tomas. "Well, I dont really know. Everything I've ever forgotten was on purpose, and i dont care to remember it." She looked down to the ground remembering bits of things she'd spent her life trying to forget. She began to fidgit with her book and utensils, starting to feel uncomfortable again. After a bit she looked up, "If you'd like to try it you can be my guest, but i dont plan on trying it."

Tomas glanced down at the cauldron while he considered the proposal. If it failed, he might forget who or where he was and worst case senario, go mad briefly. He shrugged at the possible ill effects before dipping a spoon full of the light-blue liquid. He would focus on the bookshelf in the common room. If successful, he'd be able to recall most of the titles on the shelf.
After drinking the sample, he shut his eyes to help him visualize everything. Like a flash, he saw the bookshelf in vivid detail, every detail down the the worn appearance of the shelf it self. As he expected, most of the books displayed their titles without distortion, only a few titles blurred by failure to recall. He supposed it likely that he hadn't been interested in those books in the first place.
Satisfied that the potion was indeed a success, he opened his eyes and turned to Brandy. "Worked like a charm, as charms go." He smiled, "You seem to have a knack for this stuff. At Durmstrangs, advanced potion making was reserved for only the most dedicated Orrer. I found early on that my strongest subjects were potions and herbology. Potioneer seemed like a perfect fit. What sort of witch do you aspire to be?"

Jade sat in the back just mixing random things. he was just in the back round makeing no effort to stick out, but do to his size he would stick out even in the woods, but with the task at hand done the mal lumbered to put some of the mixture in a vile, makeing people to forget things would be easy with this tonic, his efforts had brewed the oppsite of what the murmers where talking about. as he sat back down he waffed the vapors and forgott what he was about to do. " um?" his voice came out slightly confused. reaching into this bag he pulled out a bottle of water from home and drank from it in long glups...the male wated the other hufflepuff as she excelled at this and so did the boy called Tomas from..his thoughts came back to him a hazy dream...he just kept still and scrubbled down some things..
