I'm not even trying to insult her.
I'm just pointing out an enormous logical fallacy in what she's saying and implying.

I think it says something that the majority of the names written in here are Levi people. Because they weren't always Levi people. Even the people that don't identify themselves as Levi people are Levi people. Pretty much anyone who's ever participated in an HoH is a Levi person. Most of the people who played in opaj events became Levi people. Despite that they're supposed to be a 'rival guild' or something like that the Lu Bu people are Levi people.
And why is that? Because our community is not static, as much as it may seem that way. It accepts new people, it grows when we see others who have a like mindset, and those people who would otherwise have not been Levi people become included under that banner.
Because Levi is community. Levi is friends. Levi is family. Levi is legion. Or whatever else you want to say about it.
I'm not going to name Average Joe from The Dark Bar thread in Commerce. But say there's Extraordinary Jim... and I like what the guy does... and I start RPing with him regularly, as do other people. And Jim gets involved in a plot going on in Levi or even we just use one of the untrafficed threads to get some posting done. Now Jim is a Levi person too.
Oh s**t son.

I think what she's saying is that Levi People have some good roleplayers, and she's gonna let them finish. But Commerce has some of the best roleplayers of all time. Of all time! Also in regards to Jello. One of us, one of us. And in regards to the topic, Gestalt. Gestalt is a thread I made to play with the people I really enjoy playing with at a leisurely pace. If you're there, then you're at the top of my list. Chances are you know why you're there and have been mentioned already. Save Owle, Owle gets special mention because she is the goddamn trooper of RP. Even though she's not on Gaia anymore she's making sure that even in the face of popularity contests, if she thinks something is dumb, it will be heard. Some other mentions. -Kaminosai and his crew will always have a place in my heart for fun stories and characters that are way different than what I usually play. Yes, the power levels could be ridiculous, but I'll be dammed if it wasn't fun to try to have my silly characters keep up with gods. -Crawley for straight up keeping it real, unlike a lot of the other people that shy away from "meta" characters, Crawley does get it. He understands the draws of stories, and characters with complex power sets. He just doesn't give a ********: Just because.

Hell yes, somebody picked me! Or one of my other characters, at least.
In all seriousness, we have a lot of good RPers, and it would be a tough choice, but I have to say that, after this past HoH, Silver is my new favorite RPer. It's nice to see someone so obviously having a good time doing his own thing while at the same time playing nice with others.

While there are a fair amount of skilled writes in Levi, and online forums in general, I'd have to say that some of my favorite players would be from casual roleplays. One whom I think does a great job describing her multiple characters is Kokuna from a Barton thread. Other would include Vv-UrieL-vV, and other members of the ' Crimson Blood' thread that has been moved to the recycle bin. The largest reason for the casual role play is the pure chaos, and random occurrences that can take place, defying reality and probability. One example is the Marshmallow and Paint War of 2006 (summary can be found on the first page), that is constructed of poorly typed posts that have a lot of character action. whee Though my bad spelling and grammar is embarrassing, redface I feel (at least for me) that it adds to the nostalgia of remembering when I was bad at roleplaying. 3nodding

Sins of an Angel On a more serious note, I don't play favorites, because if I left someone out for one reason or another I would feel bad. I have preferences when it comes to styles, concepts and what-not but I like and dislike something from everyone all at once - and I have those folks who I tend to roleplay with more frequently just because I'm more familiar with them and know that I will have a good time whenever we do something - like Cog who I've been roleplaying with since like 2002 when I first started getting into RP'ing. Madi was the first levi person who I started actively posting with and so we bonded.
I've interacted with more folks along the way, picking a general 'usual' group of people. XD
I personally think this thread is silly as I haven't had a chance to roleplay with everyone so picking a favorite when I've only sampled so much from everyone would be weird, especially one of "all time".
There's still a bunch of folks who I would love to run into IC or just goof off with sometime or people I'd like to do more stuff with but just haven't had the chance yet. =DQuoted because this generalization of "people only chose who they play with" or "only picking the popular folk" is kind of annoying and it's looking a little like grade school gym class and who gets picked the most for kickball. I specifically said that this whole thing is silly BECAUSE you only know the people you play with, but if you roleplay with more than one person, and enjoy it then why bother picking a favorite? If you don't pick someone, they end up feeling jealous, left out, or you personally feel guilty for not naming those people or that one person/etc. Everyone I roleplay with is my favorite. I continue to roleplay with those people because I like them and have fun when I play with them. I haven't experienced everyone as of yet, so before I start picking "fave rp'er of all time lololol" I would like to "taste test" some more. Even then, I might only likely pick favorite characters or favorite memories and scenarios. I do something pretty different with every character and every person I roleplay with, they all provide me (and I them hopefully) with something different from the last. XD And finally - think about who made this thread and let that float around in your heads for a second. lol

I didn't join Gaia yesterday.
I've seen plenty of rpers, even before I knew any of you guys.
I just listed the ones that I DEFINITELY liked the most.
Which, tbh, I should've only listed Crawley and Dash and leave it at that, since those two inspired me to change and better my style. Probably the only rpers I've tried to emulate.

Flightless Butterfly I find it both sad and amusing that you only name one another. What a small world you play in. Because we're the best. It's hard for me to name someone else because of how little I role-played outside of Leviathan Stadium. This place as a whole had a huge influence on me. I started coming to the thread in very early 2005, playing a gentle and shy character (to the point that it might have gotten annoying) to limit the damage of my very crude grasp on the english language. Anyone who was there and remembers can attest how much I sucked back then, not just in storytelling skills but just with the goddamn language. So I'll personally allow myself to only mention people I saw or met here. Though I seriously barely every role-played with Silver, Crawley and Dash, I just like their style, the things they do, the way they write. I could just go ahead and say everyone in the old thread, before the guild even started, was a great role-player that influenced me. With that said, I'll add 9-lives, who's the one that actually got me to role-play in the first place. She was pretty cool.

This is going to sound hokey...
But the person who is my favorite RPer of all time...is no longer with us, and hasn't been for a while. But she wasn't afraid to do some random crazy s**t in RP, but she made clear that no matter what was in RP stayed in RP, and that she loved every one of us. I still miss her.

The Darth Vizzle Don't be a hypocrite with passive-aggressive attempts at holding your nose up in the air at other people when the things you suggest apply to yourself as much as anyone else. Is it passive to directly point out a common theme here in this thread? I make an observation, and attachment an emotional qualifier to it. Once again, just like the last time you stepped forward to address someone that made a comment similar to my own, several people jumped in to insult me personally. As a group, you can't stand anyone making observations. V and Tei also made similar comments, but I don't see any of you calling them whores or stupid, or such. I guess I just bring out the best in you.

Flightless Butterfly Is it passive to directly point out a common theme here in this thread? It's passive aggressive to act as if you're above the notion you're applying to other people. It also makes you a hypocrite when that particular condition is not actually met. Which, in this case, it obviously is not. Quote: I make an observation, and attachment an emotional qualifier to it. Which has nothing to do with the fact that the observation is directly applicable to you, as well. Which is my entire point, although I suppose it's much easier to argue the semantics of what someone says than the logic they're actually using. Quote: Once again, just like the last time you stepped forward to address someone that made a comment similar to my own, several people jumped in to insult me personally. Okay? What does anything Fox or anyone saying something have anything to do with me? I made it a point of saying that I wasn't trying to insult you. You - and several others - seem to think that I have some sort of influence, or can direct other people's actions when it comes to certain folk within this guild. I can't, in any of the above suggestions. Whether or not someone chooses to insult you is there choice, and has nothing to do with the validity of what I say. Quote: As a group, you can't stand anyone making observations. And you apparently can't stand to post for more than a couple of days without implying something negative about "this group" or the people therein. Maybe it's because when you make an observation, you most often turn your nose up in the air at people, and then proceed to stick your head in your a**, and the resultant observations end up being baseless at best and insulting at worst. If you're not trying to insult the people you make "observations" and implications about 3/4ths of the time, I would honestly be hugely surprised, because that's all I ever see, even when you make them in conversations I'm not even apart of.. which is most often when I see them. Quote: V and Tei also made similar comments, but I don't see any of you calling them whores or stupid, or such. I guess I just bring out the best in you. They also don't imply insulting insinuations about people constantly when those people don't agree with them, or simply about the group as a whole. Maybe that has something to do with it. I by no means justify constant personal attacks on you, and never have, regardless of what username you go by, but maybe you should consider the fact that making insulting implications is going to make yourself a target for attacks, and if you can't talk to people without having your nose turned up in the air, you just shouldn't talk to them at all.

I don't see Darth calling you a whore, just Fox saying that he was trying to imply that you're a 'ho'. You should probably stop posting in the OOC if you don't like how people react to what you say, because that will not change.
