Kiburi blinked. It had never occured to her that one day she might have little brothers and sisters and the prospect made her a little jealous. She'd no longer be mama's little princess. She wouldn't be the littlest or the most special one. She'd be the child stuck in between, younger than Mchele but older than the others.
She was already noticing the changes in her body as she grew and knew that she was no longer the cute little ball of fluff she had once been.
The thought upset her greatly but she knew nothing she could say would deter her mother. It wasn't fair of her to stop her mother from bringing up another family. It was her choice to leave after all.
The silence between them grew longer and longer and finally Kiburi knew she had to say something.
"Having brothers and sisters would be fun I guess." She replied thoughtfully, "I'll try and visit often so I can get to know them mama, I promise!"

From the silence Bakhti could guess what Kib was thinking and she turned to look at her as she spoke. A smile crawled across Bakhti's face as she then turned to see the pointy rock in the distance. "home.." She whispered nearly silently. She wanted to be back with Mahiri and Mchele but at the same time she knew going back would mean loosing Kib for however long. She wished so much that maybe, hopefully Kib wouldn't be away for too long.
She turned to her daughter again and just looked at her, she was a beauitful young lioness she really was. "Be careful Kib, not everyone is as they seem out here on your own. You may find it different to me as you have a family for you but I didn't and the lonliness killed. Look after yourself my darling. She stopped and nuzzled her daughter before the remaining part of the walk home.

Kiburi agreed with a small nod, not quite understanding. However everything would be fine, she just knew it. Just one job left to do.
Say goodbye to the people closest to her heart.

Bakhti looked at the boundary of the Pride lands and let out a sigh, home and goodbyes. She wasn't happy and she had her head hung low, oh how she wished this didn't have to be adn that everyone could stay and be happy.

Mchele had been watching out for their return. He knew his mother was doing what was best for Kib, preparing her. But part of him wished she didn't, If she was unprepared she'd be more likely to return home when she got cold or hungry. On the other hand though, she'd be more suspectible to starvation, injury, fights with other lions, the list went on.
He sighed and let his tail drag as he wandered the boarders. It soon perked up though and he lifted his head with shining eyes. Seeing his mother and sister couldn't be anything but joyful and he was determined to at least enjoy these last few days he had with Kiburi.
Bouding up to them, he met them as they wandered back onto their own lands. "Mother! Kib! You're back! Did you go far?" Though he wasn't keen on wandering himself, he was curious as to what they'd gotten up to.

"Mchele!" Her voise rose louder than it ever had before as she caught sight of her cornflower brother. Oh how she had missed him! What would it be like to go weeks without seeing him? An unfamiliar ache started in her chest as she dashed forwards, rearing up on her hind legs as she drew close to him and reaching out as if to embrace him with her forepaws.
She landed on all fours again a moment later however, pausing to catch her breath, lungs aflame as she tried to regain the stamina she had lost during the journey. It really had tired her out considerably.
"Oh Mchele you should have seen it!" She began to talk of what she had seen, "the prettiest place ever! It had pretty trees that grew everywhere and amazing flowers that were almost bigger than me!" She squeaked, bouncing around him before pausing to catch her breath once more. "The world is so pretty!" She wanted to tell him about Mr. Baku but decided against it. He was her secret friend and no one would understand what he was if they hadn't seen him and his brilliant shimmering wings.

Bakhti just followed Kib but slower, her head still hanging low. She had never dreamed of saying goodbye to her daughter but then at least they weren' both going. She had to keep repeating that in her head that there was a chance of a family that would grow and Mchele would still be around, but oh how she would miss Kiburi.

Mchele pranced a little too as he got near, bouncing up on his hind legs but keeping lower than his sibling. He was excited to see her but not as excited as she was, since this may be one of the last times he'd see her.
"Trees and flowers? They have those here." He replied, though none were as big as Kiburi as she claimed these others were. "But that does sound nice. And I'm sure some bits of the world are."
He glanced past her and looked at their mother, with her hanging head and sorrowful expression. Put that together with Kiburi's excitement and he could only come to one conclusion, that it was time for her to make her goodbyes.

"They do have them here but they look a lot different." She nodded, not very good at describing things." She moved to rub her side along her brother's before whirling around to face him and her mother. If she noticed Bakhti's mood she didn't mention it.
"Well...I suppose I should start saying goodbyes to everyone..." Her mind was on Rocky right now. She considered him a friend and wanted to see him before she went.
"Shall I meet you at the water hole when the sun reaches it's highest point?" She asked of her mother and Mchele.

Bakhti just nodded and then ran off, she wanted to find her mate. She couldn't handle saying goodbye to her only daughter. She would see them again later, before Kib actually left them.
