Keira watched while the hackers got to work. As much as she would just love to see that stuck up jerk 1337 fail, she knew that for the good of the mission he had to succeed. But oh how fun it would be to tug at that hideous nose ring chain...hehe seeing him squirm in pain from it would be so enjoyable..

Esther frowned at him, she didn't like him either. But Will was nice! He always smiled at her! Keira was indifferent to most of the people here, and wasn't going to let her dislike for certain individuals get in the way of the mission. She waited on the signal to proceed

User Image While 1337 interfaced with the mainframe, Hayes set up his own half of the operation. He shrugged carefully, working the backpack off his shoulders and gently lowering it to the floor. The unusual care he took made sense once he unzipped it and drew out the hard drive.

It was the size and shape of a thick, squat book, brushed silver and practically seamless until he turned it around to reveal a dark row of ports set into the back. The way he carried it suggested a weight and density owing not only to matter but the sheer compressed potential for information within.

As he retrieved a sleek black laptop and the proper cables, Hayes turned his head slightly to watch 1337 work out of the corner of his eye; he could match up USB ports by feel, and what his ersatz partner was doing was, let's face it, far more interesting. Beside him, the laptop hummed to life. Bright blue lights glowed as it came out of sleep mode, bringing up a screen displaying a command line window.

Hayes' real part in this had been completed much earlier, carefully written, compiled and debugged. Executed through the database's own systems, a withdrawal of all the Pokemon stored for the Kodo region would take several hours. What he'd provided was speed. All that was left was to execute it.

When 1337 gave notice, he plugged his own machine in and leaned over, pale light bouncing off his features as he began typing. White lines scrolled past on a black background, and kept scrolling as he straightened up.

"Fifteen minutes."

Before 1337 had started, Seth plugged in his own device into one of the terminals. A small, compact laptop that he used to keep tabs on both 1337s and Hayes progress. His fingers flying over the keys as he also tied up loose ends and eradicated evidence that they had even been there to keep the authorities from figuring out how they'd managed to break in.

Seth nodded his approval as 1337 announced that they were in, and glanced at Hayes as he started his end of it. "Good," was Seth's only comment at the proclamation that it would only take 15 minutes. Hayes had delivered as promised, and the single word was the only compliment he could expect from the elite. But that didn't undermine the impressive work the grunt had managed to pull off.

It was looking as if things were going off without a hitch, as various Pokemon started to stream into the portable hard drive.

That is until all the computer screens suddenly went blank. The connection completely cut off, and soon followed by the power altogether. The room going completely black.

...

"s**t."

User Image

He twitched as the lights went out, his body freezing shortly after as he tried to focus enough to see at least what was around him. However due to the darkness, even his normally keen eyesight wasn't doing him much good. This was less than amusing to him. He waited however, calling out a Pokemon might attract more attention than he wanted, and thus he carefully gloved Azra's Pokeball.

Waiting was something he was good at, but he knew he might need to act on the fly soon, and that almost bothered him.

Had they been in any other situation, she would have loved to watch the hackers work, granted, she probably wouldn’t understand most of what they were doing, but that didn’t make her any less fascinated.
Despite herself she was getting nervous, something nagged her about this, she kept aware of this, making herself more attentive to sight, noises, the smell and even taste of the air.
But she did what she was told, standing quietly with the others, all eyes turned outward for hits of anything out of the ordinary.

When there was a very sudden drastic change in the lighting of the vicinity they were occupying, Faleen’s mouth opened, but her voice of puzzlement remained silent, she turned, eyes widening to see the room the hackers were in was black, save for the glow of what looked like a laptop.
Uh no, that, she knew, was not good.

Her boot slid as she shifted herself further from the room, closing her eyes as she leaned forward to place a hand on her knee, brow furrowed, trying to listen for anything else she could, the building… other people approaching, or the next order from Seth.

There was one disadvantage to having the set up which 1337 had.

His computer screen was how he saw when wearing this contraption. Had he been a p***y, he might have freaked out at the sudden lack of sight. Yet, he calmly traced with his fingers along the cable that had been attached to the pillar and tugged it gently out from the mainframe. Next, he reached to the back of his strange visor where some wires were peeking out. Pushing a button along the back, he managed to reboot his own system.

As he waited patiently for his vision to return (which would take about a minute), 1337 uttered what a lot of the others must have been thinking.

"We've got a snitch amongst us." Of course, he wouldn't be able to see the reaction yet, but in the meantime, he tended to his cord, tucking it back to where it belonged on his glove.

User ImageTRP felt Furin latch onto one of her pigtails in the dark. She frowned, hands tensing into fists. "...Satoshi.. a little light."

"Raichu." Electricity softly crackled from the Pokemon's cheeks, bathing the room in a dim flickering glow.

It was enough that she could make out 1337 and Hayes, "Pack it up. We'll take whatever you were able to download."

Hayes looked, for the briefest of moments, startled at the word of approval from his supervisor. It was generally agreed that an acceptable forecast for a cold day in Hell was Seth saying a nice word to anyone (except possibly TRP) and 'good' was practically effusive praise from him. Then he ducked his head, ostensibly to look at his screen, and allowed himself a private gri-

Everything died.

Maybe it was rather chilly in Dis.

The full system shutdown brought that tingle to the back of his neck again, and the thought, which had been overshadowed by his programmer's pleasure at a project well-executed, returned with a smug vengeance. Told you so. The blond closed his laptop and started disconnecting things the moment the power died and Seth swore, fitting them into his backpack with deft alacrity. It wasn't a complex setup; he was half-packed and rolling up cables with practiced movements by the time TRP gave the order to pull out. "On it."

Roar swore softly when the power went out and quickly reached down to clutch another pokéball on his belt. He knew this was going too smoothly - but now what? He pushed his shades up under his hat so his eyes could adjust to the darkness and frowned when he heard 1337's comment - a snitch...well, that would explain a lot. He kept one hand on a pokéball just in case he needed it and looked to the elite agents for orders.

Keira was helping to keep a lookout when the power went out. What the hell? Did they get caught? No..she didn't hear an alarm...but something about this wasn't right. Esther was on edge, staring off into the distance. SHe had a very uneasy feeling about this. Dammit they never even got to finish. But at least something was better then nothing.

When 1337 mentioned a snitch Keira frowned. Someone among them was a traitor? Impossible! Who would defy Team Rocket like that!? They should know the concequences. Well it wasn't up to her to decide to listen to what 1337 said and deal with a traitor. It was the executives decision. For now they just had to take what they could and get out of there.

Closing his laptop and quickly putting it away, Seth then switched on a flashlight. 1337's comment was rewarded with a, "We'll worry about that later. Let's get out of here." His voice an irritated growl as he made his way towards the door. William being on the other side and holding his Pokeball ready when his superior suddenly came up behind him.

"I think I heard footsteps, sir." The red haired man said, which caused Seth's frown to deepen.

Whether there was a snitch or not, this had obviously been set up.

"Move out!" Seth called before quickly making his way down they hall. They had to get out of there, and fast. However, as they came to an intersecting hallway, Seth skidded to a stop as he was nearly blinded by another flashlight.

"FREEZE!" shouted a Pokeforce officer, leveling a gun on the elite and those behind him.

She heard the footsteps as well, her heart started pounding in her chest, She didn't dare waste another second when Seth and TRP gave out their orders,
she had a pokeball in her hand so fast as she side stepped out of Seth's way, glancing to the others before she took off herself, following his lead.

She wanted to say that she was surprised when they were stopped, but she wasn't, she was angry, but not surprised.
grip tight on the pokeball in her grip, she eyed the situation darkly, where the cop was standing, what gun he had, who he was pointing it to, and if there were more around.
With that damn light it was hard to make out much, she stood frozen, but ready. not trying anything yet, the last thing she wanted was their leader in front to get shot.

About 30 seconds into his reboot, 1337 could hear all sorts of things going on around him. Hayes was working quickly to put his equipment away. He could hear panicked grunts shifting uncomfortably in their uncertainty. He could hear Seth ordering people to leave. Unfortunately, there was still about 15 seconds of delay on 1337's part. Using those 15 seconds wisely, he stood himself up, which took a decent 5 seconds.

At 8 seconds, he heard someone mention footsteps.

At 2 seconds he heard many feet shuffling towards an exit.

At 0 seconds, his line of vision was back up and running, and soon enough 1337's feet were flying as well. Until he spotted his superior and a few others that had come to a stop.

"...gotta thank whoever's responsible for this later... personally..." Even with a gun threatening to shoot him didn't seem to have much of an affect on his grin, which was still wide upon his lips.

Alice froze, moving only enough to catch the pokeball she was still playing with. She didn't look particularly alarmed by the sudden arrival of the PokeFeds, though she wasn't really one for facial expression. The only other movement she allowed herself was a glance at Seth, to see if the signal for crazy ninja attack had been given yet.

Then she felt a little sad that there was no such signal in the rule book, and she sighed.

Esther's large ears heard the footsteps before they were pointed out by Will. She let out a low growl when there was a 'freeze' command made to them. s**t. This wasn't good. Keira frowned as she her hands moved to her pokebelt. Esther was prepared to attack if given the command...Keira was waiting on a command from Seth or TRP, something. This wasn't good at all. Stupid officer...

Keira knew now was not a time to act without thinking. A wrong move on any of their parts could get Seth shot. They coudln't have that now could they. If someone really had betrayed them...there was going to be hell to pay. That individual better count their prayers.
