Hey Staff, I have a flit question. XD How are we handling related flit breedings?
Example: Cheer and Boreal bred and produced a clutch with a gold and bronze.
1- can Boreal breed with his gold offspring?
2- can the gold and bronze offspring breed together?
I know this shop doesn't exactly follow the books so just wanted clarification on this. smile Thanks.

Belated response: As the genetic and population mechanics of both Dragons and Flits are built on inbreeding, there are no restrictions for breeding related dragons. The only problem arises in Dragons where the riders are Siblings - but the mental portion of that often overrides the physical because the Dragon recognizes the discomfort it would cause and that quashes the interest.

Blade Kuroda Is ancientcraft a viable option for new characters? It is indeed! Ancientcraft is the craft centered around scavenging and fiddling with whatever scraps of technology one can find in ruins/dig sites, etc etc Imagine an archaeologist from our world, except instead of discovering mayan ruins and heiroglyphs, they're finding very very old but advanced technology. Knowledge is extremely limited because there are no schools for Ancientcrafting but many learn how to get simple electric circuits and the like working. =3 Nothing fancy, however. Always simple.

In the certing thread, should I put down my Sr. Weyrling's location as where he impressed (Trine) or as where he has ended up (Malvren)?

We won't be re-doing all the old certs but if you get an art change (such as your sr. weyrling, or somebody gaining a new rank), or if that character gets a new firelizard for example then their new location should be used for certing.

I know that under character creation it getails that firelizards must be awarded IC, but from reviewing tons of threads I'm under the impression that firelizard cluthes/give-aways won't be available any time soon. As firelizards are quite common as pets even amongst the holds is it possible to request that a character start with a male (so it can't breed) firelizard as a pet?
Sorry, I didn't realize Terrible Love Poem Writing Contest was for firelizards!

I'm afraid it isn't possible to request a firelizard for your character until you obtain one OOC. Breedings are quite common, and people freely give away eggs from these and we quite often have random games for them as well. There are the two available in the terrible love poem writing to play for in this event, and there will no doubt be more chances soon! If it's important for your character to start off with one I recommend you wait on making that specific person until you get hold of a flitt; it shouldn't be too long! <3

If you mean their views on Atypicals: I believe they're of a more traditional bent and disinclined to crack eggs for Atypicals. If you mean in regards to the Revolution: Only Malvren, Trine, and Benden were caught up in the Revolution. The other Weyrs were not caught in open combat but the precedence has made the others Weyrs extremely cautious, event xenophobic. Wherhandlers in other Weyrs are under deep suspicion, which is causing a divide in the other Weyrs from the inside out. If you mean something else, please be more specific in your question!

Hehe, sorry! sweatdrop I meant are there any new ones, or are there just the three now (Souther, Eastern, and Trine)? I don't really need an answer now though, I already submitted the character app related to this question and figured that I would be informed if there were any issues. biggrin
