XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie rolled over slightly and sat up as she looked to the clothes that had appeared on the chair. She picked them up she blinked in surprise on how he seemed to have known what she liked as she held up a pair of baggy shorts and simple tank top. She smiled and then went to the small washroom and quickly changed, she looked at herself in the mirror before walking out blushing a little bit as she returned to the bed and slid in under the covers."Thank you for the clothes." she said softly as she rolled to face him properly.

Silently he observed her and when she returned he gave her a tender smile. "You're welcome, Aerie, rest well csistri." he murmured softly, rolling to lay on his stomach, watching her quietly.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie smiled and she snuggled her face into the pillow and then brought her hand up and handed Azriel the room key card."You are hungry... I can feel it." she told him tiredly and closed her eyes as a yawn escaped her lips and she easily drifted stright into deep slumber.

Appreciation for this woman made him smile and he kissed her temple tenderly before standing. He closed the door behind him and then he stopped to weave a safeguard around every entrance to the door. He went into an empty room further down the hall and was soon joined by a tall, dark haired, silver eyed man. "Gregori," he said quietly, bowing at the waist in greetings to the second in command of the Carpathian Race. "It's an honor." The smile he received was short lived, tho meaning as much as a pat on the back or an embrace. "It's good to share your news, Brother." the other said briefly. "To me, it seems you have not fed properly, and may pose a danger to any you should choose to feed from. I think it may be best if you underwent an intravenous transfusion before you attempt to feed from any of the humans wandering this establishment." A brief, quiet second passed and then Azriel nodded his consent. He would not endanger any lives, especially the one of the person currently slumbering so silently in the room across the hall. Her safety was of the utmost importance, first and foremost.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie slept deeply for the first few hours after sleep claimed her. But unaware to her that the man who claimed to be her lifemate was across the hall taking blood into his body. But as she slept dreams slowly creeped to her, first they were typical, mostly of her memories. But then the worse ones came she slowly rolled and murmured in her sleep as she relived the memories of the night her parents died. "No... Please no. Don't." she mumbled in her sleep. Aerie was accustomed to having these dreams but this night felt more real. Like someone was clawing through her mind, some dark cold grip pulled out the deepest darkest memories she tried to forget.

Awareness seeped into Azriel like cold dread. He lept from the chair he'd been sitting in passively, taking the Iv from his arm even as he was exiting the room. He passed as a mist beneath the door of her hotel room and he was beside her in a few long strides. He loomed above her menacingly, looking around the room, dangerous, careful. Once he was certain no one was near he pulled her against him and rocked her to comfort her. He left his conscious mind and entered her own, searching out the source of her distress, looking upon her memories with a cold hatred for the i]thing that caused the pain the memories brought with them. He encircled her inner mind with a safeguard wrought of the inner power he possessed and he fought back the shadows haunting her, uncertain as to what they were, but determined to dispose of them.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie was slightly roused in her sleep but didn't wake, as Azriel entered her mind she was aware of his warm comfort trying to push out the dark invading her mind, rumaging through her memories. The dark pressence growled at Azriels sudden apperance, it roared as the safeguards started to push it out. Leave hunter, this girl is mine. a voice of cruel ice whispered through her mind and spoke to Azriel as the dark creature tried to sink it's hold on Aerie's mind to cement it's position in her memories. 'Azriel...' Aerie whsipered to him slowly trying to get closed to his warmth in her mind.

Azriel was calm, patient, unrelenting and adamant. He continued to push against it, isolating her from the darkness. He methodically unhooked it, protective nature pushing him to seal and sooth and hurt it caused, pushing it away and encircling her until nothing more could harm her. She is not yours, dark one. She is my mate. My dear one, my light. You will have no part of her. Begone. A command, unbreakable. It could not go unfollowed. He was an ancient. His words, his voice were law. Period.

I will take her from you, I will have her. the vampire's vowed in a low growl before it's pressence was fully pushed from the girl's mind. Aerie sheltered herself in the protect shield that Azriel had created around her mind. She felt his soothing touch that calmed her. 'Azriel... thank you... thank you.' Aerie whispered repeatedly to him. Her mind embraced his following them to merge fully, no longer able to tell where her mind started and where his ended.

He held her to him, laying beside her, curling around her protectively. Gregori gained access to the room and returned the I.V. to Azriel's wrist. "Stay safe. I must go. There are things to be hunted and the time I have is growing shorter," both said farewell and Gregori left, replacing and doubling Azriel's safeguards. Azriel would not be leaving his mate any time soon. Period.
He whispered into her ear; "Have no fear, my little dove, I will not be leaving anytime soon. You are safe and no other shall have you."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie remained silently for a long moment, as she revealed in his mind as he surrounded her and she breathed out and opened her eyes and looked up to him and smiled. ''Thank you...'' Aerie murmured softly to him, somewhere in her mind a part of her grew excited as lay his claim of possesion on her by saying none other would have her. Her mind easily slipped back into sleep, knowing she was safe and that Azriel would protect and care for her.

He was weary, so he rested. When the sun began to rise in the morning he removed the iv and shifted into the large dog once again. He curled around her and buried his head in her neck to keep the sun from his eyes. He didn't want to leave her yet. He could stand the daylight more so in this form.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXĄeяıe Wıℓℓıaмş ☸ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Aerie's built up exhustion allowed to her sleep for the rest of the night and the majority of the day. She slowly woke in the late afternoon, at first she was confused because she couldn't remember where she was. But slowly everything came back to her and she lifted her head from the pillow. First thing she looked for Azriel but found him as a dog once again. ''Azriel? I thought you couldn't be out in the day.'' Aerie asked as she sat up pushing her wavy hair that was slightly mussed up away from her face.

He did not move. His breathing barely discernable. In her mind his voice was soft, weak. Technically, I cannot. I am not here with out some sacrifice. he admitted. He had very little energy left for the time being.

He was making that sacrifice for her, though she still did not fully understand everything about him and what his needs were she knew that this was her fault that he was in this state. ''Just tell me what I need to do to help you?'' Aerie asked and looked to the clock, it was only a couple hours till night fall.
