Edmund wondered if that was really true. It was weird because his mom had told him that it was ok for him to dance with both boys and girls. "Oh I see...I'd heard that you could dance with anyone. I really don't know much about balls though..." he murmured the last part. It didn't really matter though, he liked Mira and dancing with her seemed like a good idea...in theory, as long as he didn't look like an idiot. The realization hit him that Mira couldn't see if he looked like an idiot and he instantly felt more relieved.
He paused to listen to the music trying to decide how to dance. It was a fast song so no slow dancing like Sun had shown him. "We just...move to the music I guess." He gave a shy smile and started moving a little to the music. Mainly he just swayed a little and bopped his head a bit to the beat. He dearly hoped that the other kids would start dancing too so he wasn't the only one on the whole dance floor dancing. God, he would die of embarrassment if that happened.

Julian eased up a bit, noticing that Rasiel would be a bit helpful. He truly seemed to understand Julian. He gulped hard at the thought of this Syth person. What was her problem? Julian just wanted to hang out with the rest of the kids. He looked around the room. "Um.. thanks for helping me out. I'm just... pretty new." He wanted to say more, but what else could he say. Oh, how could he be so dumb! "I-I'm Julian." He smiled. He still kept himself at a bit of a distance. What was appropriate? A handshake? No. This was killing him.

"Sonnet?" Deskri nearly smashed his head into the wall. Sonnet! He hadn't gone and apologized to her! She was probably all alone in her room and... And that wasn't acceptable at all! He bore a look of total panic until she spoke again, then the look died for a split second before it clicked in his mind. She really was that girl in Sonnet's room!
"Y-you! You're that... that..." He started to get up, color once more draining from him. Being near this girl wasn't safe, he had to get back to Sonnet... What if she was hurt? He'd failed her already, he wasn't about to do it again.

"Don't be like that. I am here trying to be civil and explain the situation is all. No need to jump to conclusions," she said, holding her hands up in a defeated sort of way. "I mean, haven't you done that enough already? Sonnet never really recovered after the last time you did that. I'm not here to cause you any bodily harm, I promise...just...hear me out...please?"
Her one visible eye wavered a bit, as if it was filled with tears.

Mira smiled, ignoring the comments about who could dance with who, she really did seem to make stuff up at times whether it was true or not. "Move to the music?" she repeated as she blinked for a moment, getting a feel for the music and then beginning to dance the best she could, moving side to side and closing her eyes to feel the music speak through her. She glanced to Edmund every so often that she didn't run into him. She smiled and laughed, having a good time.
Rasiel nodded in reassurance to Julian. The boy seemed like a nice person even though he seemed nervous. Rasiel noticed out of the corner of his eyes Deskri standing up. Now that he could see a little better, he noticed who it really was sitting with him. That girl from Sonnet's room and Deskri didn't look so good. He then turned to Julian, "Hey, sorry to cut things short, but I have something I need to attend to." he spoke, bowing just a little and giving a wink as he then turned back and walked toward Deskri.

Andy smiled a little at Aiden's response about Mira. It was nice to see him accepting that Mira was going to be herself. She paused as she was asked if she was okay. "Oh, I'm fine. That's..uhm.. my cousin. Rasiel." she explained, trying to reassure him that everything was okay with her. Andy smiled softly at him. "w-want to dance?" she asked, blushing a little from asking him such a silly question, as she thought.

Julian smiled and understood that Rasiel had to go. He did like the feeling of meeting someone with genuine interest in him as a person and liked that he wasn't just dealt with like the other people around him. It was a pleasant change of pace. He bowed slightly, mimicking Rasiel a bit, but not as much as Rasiel in order to feel like he wasn't making fun of him. Then something odd happened. He quickly shot up and turned away from Rasiel, redder than the strawberries on the table.
W-what was that about? he wondered, reflecting on Rasiel's wink. Wait.. why am I so embarrassed by it?! He started to walk to the punch, breathing in deeply and calming himself down as he did.

"Ex-explain what? Is Sonnet okay? She's not hurt, is she? W-what do you mean she hasn't recovered?" His voice grew more panicked as he spoke, he didn't dare leave yet though, Sumi offered him just enough information to keep him close whether he wanted to be there or not. He glanced to Rasiel, having noticed him approaching. He felt relieved, but panicked at the same time. If Sumi was lying and really was going to cause bodily harm, he didn't want Rasiel to get caught in it.
"You sure?" He frowned a little more, her reply seemed to hesitant. But, she was intent on getting past it so he would let it drop if she insisted again. "Sure." He offered her a smile and then his hand, he'd read a lot of books on dancing, and even though he hadn't put knowledge into practice, he was fairly certain that he could do it fairly well.
[Fff Aiden the bookworm. XD]

Edmund watched Mira smile and laugh and it seemed to spread to him as well. He let out a little chuckle and continued dancing. "I'm pretty sure we're doing this right...It looks right to me anyway." He watched Aiden and Andy as they took the floor, curious to see how they were going to dance.
He became a little more aware of the encounter going on with Deskri and Sumi. He didn't know Deskri well, but it was a little unsettling to see him so distressed. He decided to keep on eye on the situation but mainly focused on dancing and having a good time. He also noticed the blushing boy by the food table. Edmund wondered what had happened to make him blush. He turned his attention back to Mira though, watching her dance and laugh and joining her in the laughter. He couldn't help but wonder what color her hair and eyes were, it wasn't as though he couldn't see any color but he often got colors mixed up seeing them as all the same one.

Andy nodded in response to his persistance in wondering if she was okay. She watched him smile at her and she blushed a little more, returning the smile. She took his hand, stepping toward him to begin dancing with him. She actually did know how to dance, Rasiel had taught her when she was younger, being a good dancer himself, even if he hid that fact from everyone. She took pride in being the only one who knew, as she now had graceful dance skills of her own to share with Aiden.

Mira could tell that Edmund was warming up to her, and was a little less nervous than before. She had been enjoying dancing with him as she then heard the music change, slowing down. She smiled and paused for a moment, then looked toward Andy and Aiden. She could barely make out the outlines of their auras, seeing the general idea of what to do. She looked back to Edmund and held out her hands for him to take so they could attempt dancing a little more slowly.

Aiden moved along with the music, mentally going through what he'd read on dancing. He found it was a lot easier than he'd thought it would be. It did help that Andy was good at dancing, so he didn't particularly have to worry about stepping on her or anything. He glanced to Mira and offered a smile, even though she couldn't see, so instead he did his best to summon up a happy feeling, hoping she would be able to see it in his aura or at least feel it.

Andy was impressed with Aiden's ability to dance. It was something she hadn't entirely expected. As they dance, she could feel all of the worries of that day slipping away from her. She felt at peace, almost so she didn't want to stop dancing. Andy smiled softly at him, giggling a little. She really had enjoyed being around Aiden, and was really beginning to connect with him a lot. There was a lot they had in common deep down it seemed, but Andy didn't really want to bring it up. Her attention was now focused solely on Aiden as they moved slowly about the dancefloor to the beat of the music.

The music changed and slowed down and Edmund mentally gulped. Slow music meant slow dancing and slow dancing meant touching. He shot a glance at Aiden and Andy so he knew how to do it. A blush spread out slowly over his face as he reached out and took Mira's hands. Edmund moved closer blushing a little deeper and then place Mira's hands where they should go. He glanced at Andy and Aiden one more time and then started dancing slowly with Mira the way the two of them were dancing.

Mira was a little nervous at first, not really knowing how to dance, but it seemed to come a bit naturally as she slow danced with Edmund. She took another look toward Aiden and noticed his happiness. She then saw Andy's aura and seemed to giggle to herself a little, seeing exactly what was playing out. She turned back to Edmund, not really seeing how close they had gotten, she could feel him close, but couldn't see his face as she stared at him with a soft smile. "Those two are really getting close.." she commented with another giggle. She had interpreted Aiden's happiness as how he was feeling for his situation, assuming it was because of Andy. Mira was entertained by the idea of her brother having any kind of feelings for someone as she looked back to Aiden once more and smiled at him.
