Mountains Part 5:
Hospital
Hospital
Kawaii_Hime_Ceres
After several hours in a private room Rhine had been stitched up in a few places, mostly on the hind end, and given blood to help recoup his looses. The doctors themselves didn't have much to say; mostly because he was after all a dragon.
Rhine opened one eye slowly before daring to open the other. What he does see is Jasmine... Jasmine and him in a strange room. This strange room having wires, and tubes; some of which are connected to him.
Rhine snorted trying to clear his head before muttering, "Min"

Jasmine had arrived with Rhine and shortly afterward called her mother from a phone at the nurse's station. She wasn't allowed to stick with him the whole time, but she didn't want to leave him without knowing how to contact his mother- someone should be there when he wakes up. He did say he didn't want to go to a hospital, and he might not know where he was.
Needless to say, once Rhine was given a room, Jasmine put the mirror she'd picked up on the nightstand beside the bed.
When Rhine finally starts to wake up, Min is sitting in a chair off to the side of the room, leaning against the wall with her eyes closed. She'd fallen asleep. Her clothes are no longer bloody, though Rhine wouldn't know she'd gotten covered in blood.
"Hrr?" she murmurs sleepily when a sound comes from Rhine, her wings fluttering a bit as she moves. Then her eyes snap open when she realizes that it was Rhine that was talking and then she smiles at him.
"You're up," she says, "I told you you should go to a hospital."

"I've never been to one before..." Rhine was slow at speaking, with an occasional pause.
Rhine looked around. "Are you alone." Then he noticed the mirror. "Have you..." He sighed, and almost hope his mother wouldn't show.
Rhine gave a thoughtful look. "Thank You." He was teetering inside about how he felt. "I'm sorry..." He looked away ashamed. "I hope who ever didn't hurt you."
Rhine yawned despite efforts not to. "Also that you've lost your day over me." Inside he was almost sick that he actually felt happy that she had lost a day over him. This made his fuzzy feeling return.

"Yeah, but I'm always right so you should just have agreed to go," she jokes, smiling at him to encourage him to keep speaking despite the slow and halting pace.
"No, my mom's here," Min nods, looking toward the partially open door and back again, "I think she went to get a drink or something." She eyes the mirror when Rhine looks at it, "That was on the rug, I assumed it's yours..."
"Rose didn't hurt me," she says, almost laughing, "She let me use her cellphone to get your help, you really scared her. You shouldn't be so quick to jump up and scare people like that." She nods firmly, her tone is still a joking kind, though in a more scolding manner.
"And it's not a lost day if you're alright," she nods.

"Always right." Rhine pauses with a nod followed by a smile.
"Maybe I'll get to meet her before I'm asleep again." Rhine thought for a moment, and then nodded his head as if ending the thought.
"Rose?" He paused, and then concluded in his mind that this was the last lady he saw before he collapsed. "I'll have to thank her when I see her again, and apologize."
Rhine stretched his front half first followed by the back half. He was stiff, and growing itchy. The room to him was almost to dry, but at least not overly hot. "I'll need wet towels, or some lotion soon." He blushed feeling that his almost made him sound girlish. So, he through out the last part. "Before I am half baked."
"It pleases me that your day wasn't lost." Rhine smiled looking into her eyes.
Rhine then nodded. "Yes the mirror is mine... It is my way home."

Jasmine just nods to most of Rhine's comments, pressing no issue farther than what he says until he mentions the towels and lotion. She points to a little row of buttons beside him, "I think you can call a nurse or something on one of those buttons, they'd know where to get towels and lotion." She nods matter of factly, but then is distracted by his explanation of the mirror.
"Really? How's it work?" She looks back and fourth from mirror to Rhine..

Rhine looked at the buttons, and growled. The wires enough was scarring him, but let alone the rest of the mess just plain terrified him. He instead just opted not to push the buttons and suffer. "My home is of will, and not wire... How does everyone exists on Gaia and Earth? It is so cluttered..." He bit his lip hoping it didn't offend her.
At first he thought that perhaps she was tricking him into calling his mother. He quickly shook the thoughts, and decided to just show her. In lower tones, almost a whisper. "Me of Mirror, Mirror of Me... I wish to go home." The word home was almost non existent, but sure as he had said it the mirror shook and glowed. The reflection shivered, and transformed to show not oneself but an island.
Rhine snorted, but didn't look at the mirror. "She'll arrive shortly I suppose now that there is a connection." He sighed. "She's creepy like that, you can never escape her knowing almost anything that goes on, on the island."
Rhine had given a pause for some time, followed by a long yawn. "You can pick the mirror up, and look into its reflection, if you like..." He thought for a moment, whether or not he should tell her the trick, or just let her find out. He'd very much like her to visit, but then decided that trickery was no way to treat a good friend. "Touching the reflection is what transports me." Rhine followed through with an after thought. If the mirror was larger all you would have to do is stand in front of it." Rhine smiled.

Jasmine blinks when Rhine complains about the cluttery world they- well, she apparently- live in. She just nods slowly, not entirely sure what he means about his home being of will and not wire.
"Um, ok," she mumbles, then watches with intense curiosity when he starts talking to the mirror. Her eyes widen when it starts to shake, standing up and walking over to him to get a better look at it.
"Wow, that's pretty," she says, looking at the Island reflected in the mirror and instinctively looking behind Rhine to the wall as if there is an island there. She smiles when he says she'll arrive, but has to ask, "She who? Your mom?"
She takes the mirror from him to get a better look when he says she can, tempted to touch it before he says what would happen- but even more curious about it when he explains. Jasmine smiles, and then sets the mirror back on the table, "Neat."
Just as Jasmine sets down the mirror, a fairy with long brown hair, currently tied back in a braid, and bright red eyes enters the room carrying what looks like a coffee cup from somewhere in the hospital, she enters the room without taking a good look around.
"Ceri's making quite the mess down in that playroom, but we're lucky it's th-" she starts before realizing the dragon girl isn't even in her chair anymore. Her red eyes turn to the bed, where she notices that Rhine is awake and Jasmine is standing nearby.
"Oh, you're awake," she smiles, setting down her drink on a near by wheely-table, walking over and asking, "How're you feeling?"
Jasmine almost rolls her eyes, but smiles and whispers to Rhine, "That's my mom."

"Yes, my mother..." Rhine says reluctantly.
Rhine doesn't mention further about the mirror at the arrival of Jasmine's mother.
Rhine giving a snicker snort at Jasmine's whisper, he nodded softly.
Shortly after Rhine looked to the woman. He couldn't say that he had herd a lot about her, but was fairly impressed all the same. "I'm awake." He paused. "As to be expected..."
Rhine wavered a bit in thought. Did she know my name? To reduce doubt, he went ahead and said it with a smile. "My name is Rhine."
Rhine stood up, wavering a bit, he gave a long stretch. He managed to sit up, and yawned. You could tell he was waiting...
The wait wasn't long as a woman appeared in the midst of the room.
Ceres wasn't expecting humans, so she had not prepared a human entrance. Instead you say a 90 percent human, the 10 percent owing to a horses tail. She wore a purple-ish silver crisscross top, and the bottom half was covered by two pieces of cloth of the same material held together with two silver hoops. She wore shades, but her eyes were empty at first glance... She was blind, however, she had the air as if she knew everything around here. She had blond hair with dirty blond and silver streaks. It was tied into sections and fell to her ankles. Several silver pieces of jewelry was around her lower and upper arms, thighs, ankles, and tail.
"Rhine, dear, I was worried when you didn't come through after opening it...." Ceres chimed in a happy state until she got a good look around. "Why are you in one of these... isn't the island good enough?"
Ceres was cut off by Rhine, as he snorted. "It was an accident. I pasted out, and Jasmine and her mother were kind enough to bring me here instead of leaving me to..." He didn't say the last word.
Rhine looked to Jasmine whispering. "And, now you've meet mine." He gave a very long drawn out sigh.

Ecavi
"It's nice to meet you, Rhine," Ecavi says amiably, "My name is Ecavi. It's good to see you're awake, we were worried about you." She keeps a smile on her face and looks him up and down a bit, wondering why she'd not heard of Rhine before today if he's such a good friend of Jasmine.
Jasmine jumps when Ceres suddenly appears in the middle of the room, not so startled by the means of entry but the suddenness of it. Ecavi has a similar reaction, but doesn't quite jump. Jasmine is less tactful with her gaze, her expression entirely curious, where Ecavi keeps a smile on her face despite her curiosity.
"Does she always just appear in places like that?" Min asks Rhine in a hushed voice, leaning back on the nightstand beside his bed.

Rhine muttered out of the corner of his mouth. "I told you she was creepy."
Rhine looked up at Jasmine and her mother, and smiled. He was considerably better from a few hours ago. He then shifted, and carefully with the chairs around him climbed off the bed. There was a limp, and a look of pain in his eyes with every movement.
Once on the floor he slithered towards Jasmine, and as best he could he reared onto his two back claws. He swayed a bit, feeling light headed. When he put his front claws on her shoulder they were a bit heaver than normal. He then laid her head on his shoulder, and whispered. "I've got to go home... I cannot travel alone like this, my will isn't strong enough to control my path home. I also know my mother cannot stay long here, more than an hour at best." Rhine paused with a long sigh, and still in a whisper. "Thank You, and I'll take better care to listen to your advice next time..." Rhine again sighed, it was taking every ounce he had stored up to manage this. "Soon, I promise I'll return to you, and by then I'll know what I feel."
Rhine smiled, and then slid back to the ground. He looked to Ecavi. "Thank you. I hope next time we meet it will be under better circumstances." He nuzzled her hand.
Then Rhine went to his mother. "I know why you've come. Not only out of worry, but to take me home." Rhine snorted not happy, but in some small way he was. "I'm ready..."
Ceres nodded, and lifted his mirror into her hand. She then knelt onto the floor. "Thank You again, if there is a way to repay you for your services please let me know."

Jasmine laughs quietly behind a golden hand, and steps back to make it easier for Rhine to get off of the bed, murmuring, "Be careful." Last thing she wants to have happen is him trip or something, though she doesn't really think it'd cause that much more damage.
"You're leaving?" she asks suddenly, looking surprised. Ecavi looks slightly surprised as well, but doesn't say anything at the moment.
"All right," Jasmine says with an exagerated sigh, "No more climbing for awhile, OK?" She grins, and then bites back a laugh, which only broadens the grin, when Rhine says he'll figure out how he feels. When he looks to Ecavi and thanks her, her expression is somewhat surprised but she manages a genuine smile at Rhine.
"Take care of yourself," she says.
