Fordon and Mai once again headed up the hill towards the house. this time they were laughing. however one point Mai put to much pressure on her injured leg and began to fall. this time however Fordon was there to catch her. with her in his arms again Fordon felt something was right. "I wont let you fall ever again" He said looking into her eyes. their faces were very very close and he could sense some urge for him to get closer but he pulled away as he helped he back to her feet. " perhapes we have put too much strain on your leg. after all its only been one day." "no no its ok really. i had a great time with you today" "its not over yet. we still have to eat this." "right lets go then" she said and they continued up the hill. they went in to the house and got ready to eat. Fordon did his best to ignore the women of the house who he knew were watching them both.

Fordon ate with his back to the women, that way they would not be able to see his face. he ate without his mask and Mai seemed pleased that he was open about it. they ate and talked. after a while Mai excused herself to go use the restroom. While nothing to do he put his mask on and cleaned up their dishes. after he was done she still was not back so he walked into the kitchen and made tea. while Fordon was waiting on the tea and Mai, he decided to look at the paper Tarus had given him. it had all of the prices it cost to make the weapons and the total sum. Fordon then saw something else on the paper. at the bottom corner there was a note saying "she is a smart girl and very beautiful. hold on to her" it was at that moment that Fordon understood. she liked him and wanted to be romantic with him. pieces of the puzzle feel into place. he could not for any of his lives understand what she saw in him but still knew that she did. "what should i do?" he wondered, "till you know what you should do you should not change" when she came back back he acted the same he did when she left. they drank tea and joked back and forth with each other. finally she looked down at her watch ad gasped. "oh no i was supposed to be working on my paper about Hero Water! im sorry but i have to get to started on it." he smiled politely at her "its a good thing you remembered now. well ill let you get to work. in fact i should get back to training. well take care and ill see you around" "um yeah ok." she said she hesitated for a moment but turned and went down the hall towards the study. Fordon cleaned up what was left of the tea and went to his room. he put away anything he would not need (i.e. the paper from tarus) and picked up what he did need (i.e. his extra kunai pouch). then without another word to anyone he left.

Fordon arrived back at the compound and waited for Mai who he could hear talking in the kitchen. it sounded like she was explaining what the situation was and Fordon decided that it would be a good idea if he let her talk it out while he waited.

When Mai headed for the front door she saw Fordon standing there. "oh hey are you here to send me off?" Fordon smiled through his mask. "no im here to escort you." "really?" she said as her smile spread across her face. "yes. i am to escort you and the hero water to the Waterfall village and back" as she quickly grabbed her bag and the hero water she said "great this should be fun though im sure sucha a skilled warrior as yourself will be bored" Fordon did not want to scare the girl so he decided not to tell her of the rouge ninja that were around "Thank you for the complement but im sure it wont be dull if im traveling with someone as good looking as yourself" she smiled as she walked towards the door. but he held up his hand for her to stop. "if im going with you i have one condition. either i carry your bag or the hero water." she looked at her bag then the hero water. and replied " but thats not fai-" she was cut short as Fordon walked over and took her bag from her. "not negotiable. now lets go." and he headed out the door and she followed. as they began to head down the hill toward the village gate she said "im really glad its you coming with me." Fordon looked at her and smiled with his eyes "it will be my pleasure to escort you."

Fordon and Mai arrived at them Compound talking. together they went inside and as he fill out the mission report she made tea. As they spoke and idea crossed his mind. "wouldn't it be nice to have this forever. to have someone like this waiting for me. being able to talk about anything with her... but i cant.. i dont want to scare her. but it would be nice..." he thought. thye continue to chat for a while till Fordon was finished with the mission report and his tea. "i need to grab some things from my room" Fordon said and went down to his room. once inside he grabbed everrything he would need to train with and packed his bag with some extra cloths. It was not going to be easy to say what he had to next. Fordon returned to the kitchen where Mai still was and looked at her with sad eyes. "whats wrong Fordon?" he walked close to her and said. "Mai, i need to go now and im not sure when ill be coming back. it could be days, weeks or even months before i can get back." " another mission so soon? But ant you wait for a little while?" "No Mai its training" "Then cant you do it here?!?!" she asked the slightest bit of tears starting to come to her eyes. "No i can not train here. Its because of what i am." Fordon answered calmly hoping she would understand. and she did but still looked at him with eyes that said how much she wished he could stay. "I'll be back as soon as i can. i promise." He said and pulled her into a hug. he could feel her starting to cry and without thinking put one hand on the back of her neck and with two fingers from the other pulled down his mask. Then in one swift movement brought his lips to hers. she was stunned and it was in that moment Fordon turned and walked out the door. he was just three paces away from the door when he heard Mai say "Fordon wait!" he turned and she ran up to him "before you go i wanted to give you something to remind you that you have people wait here at home for you to get back." she pulled down the collar of her shirt and Fordon was about avert his eyes thinking she was doing something wrong when he saw a small silver chain she was fishing out. she took of the chain and held it out for him to take. Hanging from the chain was a small silver version of the Ushio Clan symbol. Fordon took it and admired the craftsmanship of it before putting it on. He had nothing to give her in return and felt bad about it. Then an idea came to Fordon. He reached inside his bag and pulled out one of his extra collars and put it around her next. i was really lose but it seemed to be a nice touch to her. "There. im sorry but at this moment thats all i can give you." She ignored his words and reached up for his face. she quickly pulled down his mask and pressed her lips against his with such ferocity it almost knocked Fordon over. "Bye and take care of yourself. dont go around beating up bandits for fun. ok?" Fordon laughed and smile at her "ok" He said then pulled his mask back up. " you take care too and please look after Lord Luo. i have a feeling he is under a lot of stress still." with that Fordon turned and left. he may be leaving for now but a part of him stayed right there with the girl. All of his hearts he left there in her hands. He chuckle at the idea if that were true. then she would be holding everything that kept him alive. At this point of his feelings that might as well have been true

As Mai sat at her desk things once again began to swirl in he head. they were thoughts about Fordon. she wanted to know what he mean by what he was. the scars, the ability to survive being impaled, the unwillingness to be around other why he trained. what did it all mean. what was wrong with him that he could not show? sure the scars may see odd but at the same point lots of people had them so why did he need to hide his? was there something more about them? Mai brought her hands up and cover her face then let out the sigh which was so typical to her family. as she brought her hands down she let one of them touch and rest of the collar around her neck. She fought back the tears of watching him go and held on to the memory of kissing him. then more thoughts came to her mind. thoughts like "even if you have these questions who can answer them. Fordon keeps to himself and no one can really say hey know him. the only people he has ever really opened up to are.." "Me and LuLu!" she shouted coming to the realization of someone she could ask about Fordon and the person who might know the most. Mai got up so fast she almost nocked over the ink well on her desk. after calming down a bit she ran to the door and grabbed her shoes. "where are you going?" a woman called out from the kitchen "im going to see Lulu in his office." "oh well in that case could you take this to him" the woman emerged from the kitchen and Mai was not surprised to see it was Luo's mother. she had some food wrapped up and Mai quickly took it. "ok well ill be back soon!" Mai shouted as she ran out the door

After the traditional spar with his father after breakfast, a light shower was taken before he left for the office. As the gates to the complex opened and Luo began the trek through the mountain path in the forests of Kirigakure which hid the family's home well, he seemed to mutter to himself, "It is said that the gods whisper knowledge in the mist of the morning to those listening. That, is why we meditate among it." As his figure seemed to disappear into the mist of the small mountain, Luo pondered whether he would ever be able to catch a whisper or two in the mist of Kirigakure. Although he did recall the story of the ocean god who spoke to him. What an interesting one it was.

Lookinh at the sun Fordon saw he had almost two hours till he had to be at the gates. He came undetected into the house till he came to the kitchen where he was greeted by an adopted family who had not seen him in about two months. He exchanged some pleasantries with Lord Luo's parents and aunts till he inquired about Mai. "she's been sick for the past couple of days" someone said then another spoke and said "she is sleeping right now." Fordon asked "Is she alright? Can i see her?" The answer came quickly "She will recover quickly enough and will be fine and im sure i want you to come down with something especially since you said you were about to leave again." Fordon nodded and said "ok well ill just change my clothes then and ill be off. Excuse me." He left the kichen and went down the hall to his room. In blazing speed he changed his clothes. and disappeared from his room. Like a shadow he moved to Mai's room and once again was undetected. He saw he lying in her bed peaceful and beautiful like an angel. He came within a breath of her and brushed his hand against the warm soft skin of her cheek. She stirred only a little and he smiled. slowly and gently he brought his lips to hers. he gave her one sweet kiss. as they parted he watched as her lips curled into a wonderful and amazing smile that melted him on the inside. She had been awake the whole time! her eyes squinted and she tried to pretend she was still asleep. Fordon's own smile spread across his face with a flash of white teeth. She giggled softly and finally said "I was hoping to get one of those from you" he hand touched his cheek and he noticed her warmth again as it was pressed against his flesh. How he had missed her sweet voice. Fordon felt a presence and looked at the door. sure enough there was Lord Luo's father. He did not appear mad at all but whispered "time to go" Fordon saw that the man understood on some level how they felt. he did not wish to stop that but he did not want people to get mad at Fordon for being in Mai's room either. Fordon looked back at the girl that he was willing to give the world to and said "i have to go but ill be back soon this time." he kissed her once more and as he stood he took a breath of the aroma that surrounded his love. Mai seemed sad but said nothing. Fordon walked out of the room and as he came next to the old man they exchanged a forarm shake and the words "you and Luo stay safe out there." were written on the father's face. Fordon nodded and left. He descended the hill toward the village and moved quickly to the gate.

 Kari UshioSilent Reaper of MistStudent Of MistKari, still with Emily in her arms arrived at the entrance to the Ushio Compound. A rather large compound with dozens of acres of land, the Ushio Compound was not only the home of the Mizukage himself, but home to several other members of the clan, herself included. Setting Emily down, she was panting and out of breath. But at the very least, she had gotten away with Emily from the crazies of Kiri. Funny how she said the crazies when in fact, she was probably the very worse one of them all. The two of them were at the gate of the compound when she looked back at Emily, with the same cold and emotionless expression on her face that was a testament to the evil inside.

Emily was feeling a bit dizzy after being carried away in a rush.She looked at the gate's and how large the land seemed around this place her eyes tilted at Kari and smiled."Your home is really nice is it just you or is your family home."She said being curious to why she brought them here. Kari UshioSilent Reaper of MistStudent Of Mist "Family," she responded, only speaking a single word. Kari grabbed her hand and lead her, her hands were very soft and smooth. She hated whenever anyone touched her, but Emily was different. She wanted to learn more about her, observe her, watch her, see why she was the way she was. The reason for this is very simple and comes down to three things:
1. The Mizukage told her that a shinobi's job is to observe, to be like a fly in the wall and simply watch, to learn from others and never strike without having a reason to.
2. Her psyche is practically that of a little girl, easily entranced and highly curious of new things and people.
When these two concepts were combined in Kari's mind, her mental state of being is now: Protect Emily and ensure her safety until she learns more from her and about her. Depending on how she feels afterwards, she may kill her, she may not.
Approaching the gates, the guards quickly let the two through, not asking any questions. Upon seeing Kari, they knew not to upset her fragile mind, therefore not questioning the girl she brought with them. Standing in the front of deck of the main house, the two stood next to a small fishing pond, cherry blossoms blooming as she pointed inside the house. "Library..."

Out of seeming no where Fordon appeared behind the girls "huh. thats interesting..." he said in a casual way though he knew the girls would freak out since he had used his hunter ninja skills to hide his presences till now. Fordon did not really know either girl but he had a odd feeling about this. then he saw what was strange. one was defiantly a mist ninja as he saw her exam with the mizukage but the other seemed not to be from around here. "Oh a guest" Fordon said smiling down in his odd smile with the stitches at his mount tugging and pulling.

Emily was thinking of her family after hearing Kari have one she's really never had one so its hard to see why this girl's personality was so insane like .She looked at the guard's and and Kari in deep thought most be a very importent person if their are guards here.Seeing all the cherry lightend up with joy she's read about them but never really seen them untill now was excting time for her.She saw that Kari was pointing and spoke of a library inside and nodded with a smile. "Your home is like a dream come true your very lucky to live in such a place."She said this with a sweet gigle.Noticing that boy from the beach found them so quick made her hide behind Kari slowly.
