For my Death Knight, I picked blood as DPS. First time, just because my friend was doing unholy, and her husband was doing Frost. First day of release, we all got together in Outland and dueled, and despite being the same level, with the same gear as the other two, I completely annihilated them.
We got together around level 68 again to do the same thing, and I annihilated them again. So I just formed this morbid attachment to blood spec, because with it, I could brutally humiliate my friends husband. Whom I hate.
(I later took Frost as my main spec, but have recently revived blood as my secondary DPS spec, now that I've saved up enough DPS gear to get a 4.9k GS.)

My main is a warrior. I really like Fury. There's something to it that makes me feel like I'm a rabid werewolf with rabies killing everything in my path. So yeah, It's pretty awesome. Although, my Prot gear is better.. I've had bad luck finding plate gear and a decent weapon. The one from Heroic PoS is OK, but it's getting old. I have two of them, LOL! xD Plus ArP gems are expensive as heck... Oh well.

my main is a mage.
I have been a mage since BC came out and I got fed up with being told to heal even though I was balance, and they wouldn't even pay for my respecs.
I therefore know QUITE a good deal about mage theorycraft. I picked the best spec for the instances my guild runs. When we really get into TotC I will respec into incanter's absorption, but for now, my spec is about the best it can be.

My main is a hunter, and she's BM. I like that spec because I'm able to help friends and others running through dungeons and I can tame awesome looking pets, such as Louqe'nahak.
If I ever go into a raid, I switch to surv because I know that no one wants a BM in most raids. Surv is pretty beastly, but I'm mostly comfortable with my main spec. I slightly do a bit more DPS in that spec, but I still switch in raids.

I just respecced my priest's healing spec.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Lightbringer&cn=Mauryanna&group=1
It's sort of strange, not a traditional spec. I chose this spec because my main healing role is raid healing. I should always be the last healer to be put on tanks. Therefore, I have very little need for Greater Heal. it works well for me and my role in the raid.

Prot Warrior Most OP set of skills EVER. Healers not doing good? Enraged Regeneration! Healers STILL not doing good? Last Stand! Healers S.T.I.L.L. not doing good? Shield Wall! Getting hit for too much melee damage? Shield Block! Someone bugging you while you have the flag? Concussive Blow! A LOT of people bugging you while you have the flag? Shockwave! Rogues stabbing too fast? Thunderclap! Rogues stabbing too hard? Demoralizing Shout! Tanks hard to kill? Devastate! Want to dispell a buff? Shield Slam! Annoying casters? Shield Bash! MORE annoying casters? Spell Reflect! Mob too far away? Charge! Someone take aggro and is far away? Intervene! Can't use Intervene? Heroic Throw! Need a buff because there isn't a paladin? Battle Shout! Need some extra health? Commanding Shout! Can't snowboard? Use your shield!

For my mage I went arcane 57/3/11, and I picked that because it's a very high dps spec. Can usually pull 7-8k dps no problem in ICC depending on how much movement is going on during a boss, and fully buffed with trinkets, heroism, and icy veins/arcane power I can peak around 13k (this is with the 4 set t10 bonus which is +18% dmg while mirrior images are out). http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Exodar&cn=Qctavian

Hmm... why i picked my specs? well....
Hunter:
1. i ran extensive tests, Boss dummy and actual raid instances, and came out to the conclusion that with my gear type setup the best bet is survival due to i dont stack armor pen ( which will be gone come the xpac ) so i kept to the original way of gear choice and came out with top dps in all raids.. now marks its close and all in some fights.. and in fights like Grobbulus and fights with damage multipliers it beat surv just to the ridiculous burst dps due to the many instant cast shots in my arsenal in marks. but overall surv did the best in all raids, for me and for the raids full benefit with talents.
2 the shot rotation for marks is very hectic and taxing if you miss even one shot ( tho marks is my fav cause of that fact since its a spec only the best hunters can play and be top dps and top in pvp with ) while surv you have a consistent serpent sting, black arrow, exp shot, steady shot x 3 ( with the occasional arcane shot to macro in with your 3rd steady then throw another serp and rinse repeat =)
3. mana consumption of marks is just plain harsh on long encounters and you waste too much time in viper and poppin pots just to stay in the fight a little... wastes time! Surv uses 1/3 the mana that marks uses within the first minute plus having hunting party ( no less then 2/3 spec'd ) plus mana return from any ret pally or shadow priest just makes keeping your rotation without fail that much easier and takes your attention off of your mana to be put more on focus with the encounter.
( in final )
Surv just has all the aspects to look for in a smart hunters arsenal and overall ability!
Now my warrior =) Prot all the way!
1. After the 2.3 or 2.4 patch ( cant remmemmber off the top of my head ) came out 2 weeks prior to wrath, DPS WARRIORS WERE SHAFTED AS BEING DPS CLASSES!!!!! now people say what about titan grip? well yea Titan grip LOOKS cool... and thats about it. Never once was a dps warrior as titan grip or ms EVER #1 dps after that!
2. Ive always been a pro Warrior tank since Pre BC, and kept the title of server best for a full year on wow supporter sites and was in many of the top guilds come SSC TK BT and Sunwell, such as Death and Taxes ( the original on Korgath (PVE) server. So Pretty much i can say that i love gettin up close and personal and making mobs hate the hell out of me with my killer threat gen... better then most pallies unless its more mobs then 5 in a pull ( refering to prot pally, not ret or holy of course ) and i pretty much got both the Warrior and Hunter classes down to a science... hell i could teach if i wanted lol! ( i have tho... sad really lol )
so yea thats that for my choices and why!!! ENJOYSSSSS! =D

I understand other Marksmen do it differently, but I've done quite well with my Sporebat for the occasional Roar of Recovery. It isn't a Howl, but he also has a nice armor debuff since our Fury Warrior is always a tad busy ripping stuff to put up Sunder Armor. whee
Mostly I'm a Marksman because I'm a spaz, and I like when my gun can line up on a target and just boom, blam, kerpow! blast him to bits. No need for elvish arrows and their twing twang (although I currently wield the felglacier bolter), gimme a good ol' Stakethrower. pirate
Although I do like Beast Mastery best when soloing or special situations. That Coren Direbrew didn't know what he was in for when the real bear showed up to tank.

For my priest, I leveled as holy (I love a good challenge) and picked up a dual-spec for shadow when I hit 80. I was never really needed for DPS, and I got bored with it, so I switch from shadow to disc. When I switched servers / factions, it turned out my friend's guild actually really needed a disc priest, so I kept playing it... I can't imagine how I didn't spec it sooner. It's a blast. BUBBLE BUBBLE BUBBLE BUBBLE PoM BUBBLE PENANCE BUBBLE.
For my DK, my guild needed a tank... so I went frost. 'Nuff said.
I could go on for all my alts, but that would take... a long time.

Priest, Holy. I chose it because I like to support my party members and be an essential part of any groups (I know everyone is essential, but a healer is a part of the support system). I leveled that way as well. People always ask me why I didn't do shadow then holy. I just tell them if I wanted to be shadow, I'd have just made a warlock or mage. Even though I didn't really start doing the party healing part til 80, I still got to know what all of my skills did.

He never got his Tier 9, still was rockin' the Valorous T7 and out-dpsing hunters in Tier 9 O_o You guys should get together and have a hunter party or something.

[ "私は永遠に、あなたを待っている残るよ..."] On my Resto Shaman I enjoy watching my chain heals bounce from one person to another and when I'm paired with another shaman or many I like seeing all the patterns we can make while we raid heal in VoA. 3nodding I know.... lame. But its fun. I made a star with another shaman healer!
When I go Ele its fun to do my little rotation and then an instant Lava burst! BAM! CRIT CENTRAL!!!
Lastly on my DK when I go dps (Rarely-Unholy) I love doing all my spells and topping those dps and damage charts wink .
