Europa nodded to the toddler, managing a tiny smile before replying.
"Sure, buddy, no problem." And then the music started. Eurie had never heard this particular song before, but it sounded like something she'd like. It was just too bad that there were boys here. She would never, ever dance in front of boys.

When the music struck Bleez's ears she was speechless. She'd never heard anything like this before. She normally listened to something her mother called, "Celtic" or "lullabies." They were slow and pretty, but this, this was entirely different.
She could feel her tail start to sway back and forth, slowly at first, then quicker until it matched the beat of the music. Her foot then started tapping to the beat. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she thought it was called, "dancing?" She moved out to a space that was less occupied with people and furniture and let the music take her.
She was a blur of odd movements that seemed perfectly timed to the music. It was fun and weird to watch all at once.

Pippin giggled, glad Europa didn't find him annoying or lame or anything. He was pretty sure he had even noticed a small hint of a smile.
He heard the music, but it didn't do much for him but confuse him. One eyebrow raised, and he listened, but it was hard for him to get into it. He liked it, it was nice and the beat was good, but he didn't show it. Pippin had no idea how to dance, and just barely even knew what it was, so his outside appearance was nothing too special to watch.
He observed some of the others, seeing some of them move with the music, but he chose to sit with Europa instead, giving her another soft smile as he sat down next to her. "You gots a pretty smile." he said, grinning himself.

Europa shook her head a little and ruffled Pippin's hair. Leave it to her to only get compliments from toddlers, right? She didn't feel anything about boys right now, but Daddy assured her that some day she would, and they would start to notice her too. What if all she could wrangle was a toddler or two? Gross.
"Thanks. You're pretty cute yourself." 'Aww lookit the baby' cute, not 'let's date', cute. Ew, ew, ew.

((Reading fail on my part there Dooma. Imma edit my post so that Espen doesn't seem like he's being a jerk. He wouldn't forget names on purpose; I would just happen to not read over important parts because I'm blind. ^^; ))
Espen dodged the tail like it was a cattle prod, but retained his composure as he felt around for a light switch in the closet and flicked it, flooding the closet with a warm light, illuminating the massive assortment of knickknacks and toys that were in it. Shane kept quite a few things in here too, but a lot of them were random old pieces of junk, like wooden sculptures and such.
The shelves were all wooden and clean, and in the back Espen went and pointed up to a box that was just slightly out of his normal reach.
"That one;" he said, and then added a little nervously "Also close the door when ya come in, I don't want people to see what it is yet."
Espen then came forward and picked up a small plastic stool to move underneath the box and climbed up to see how he could get a grip on it and lower it gently down to Vali. He hoped that the metallic boy was as strong as he looked. The box wasn't heavy like a ton of bricks, more like a well packed suitcase and would need two kids to lower it gently to the ground and carry it out.

Hearing the slight nervous tone he tilted his head. “Are you feeling alright Espen. You seem nervous.” he said as his hand reaches out to try and feel of the other spawn’s forehead but he sees Espen dodging to get a plastic step ladder and moving into the closet. He wondered what it would be that needed to be hidden.
When the light went on it glinted off of his skin though it only added to the lights on the dance floor. As he walked into the closet his tail moved behind him to pull the door mostly shut. He was unaware that he might be causing the host some discomfort. Or that he was even that scary looking. He was just trying to be nice. “If you want I can get it and carry it Epsen if you like. You can go back out side if you like.” he said as he moved to steady the step ladder. “I am glad you invited me to the party. It is my first party Epsen. Thank you.”

Espen was a total sucker for generosity; it showed that people cared about him and doing things for him made Espen feel in control.
"You sure?" Espen said looking at the boy quizzically "Okay, only if you think you can lift it. 'S full of costumes an stuff so it's heavy, don't wantchu taget hurt."
The music in the room was softer now and the noise outside was enough to make Espen feel like he could talk to Vali one-on-one in here without being overheard. Espen really didn't like going into his private life, but he didn't want to keep Vali in the dark about why he was being so weird towards him, because he understood that it could ruin the party for Vali too. Mustering up his courage he took a deep breath and approached the boy with a grave look on his face, he spoke in a serious tone.
"Listen Vali, I've gotta tellyou something 'bout me an' it's important, but it's also a bitofa seekret kay?" He paused to make sure that the boy was listening, then continued,
"I'm allergic to sharp and pointy metal. If I touch the stuff I-I..." Espen stopped, not really wanting to tell the whole truth: that he was so paranoid of the stuff and that touching it made him freak out, "Well what happens isn't good. All my jumping and stuff isn't 'bout you 'kay? I just can't touch pointy metal things; not even a metal fork, I gotta use plastic." he joked, but it was true.

Marii cocked his head to the side when the music had started as he hadn't heard something simmular to this but with lots more drums. He watched Bleez go up and start to dance and smiled at how she danced, his own tail was swaying to the music. He didn't know how to dance but was content to watch others do so. But he did let the spots on his tail glow lightly.
He was wondering to what Espen and Vali were doing and to what they were bringing out. So he just content to wait and see as he wiggled his head lure.

After a few songs of her being the only one dancing, Bleez was getting a little bored and very winded. She plopped right down on the ground where she'd been dancing a laid on the floor. She was breathing heavily, but a big, one-fanged smile was on her face.
She turned her head to see everyone that wasn't dancing (except Espen and Vali), "Why.... noone... elsedance?" She kept grinning and breathing hard.

The silver spawn moved to grab the box. “Yes it is a bit heavy. But don’t worry I am rather strong.” he said taking the box and holding it firmly. “See I got it.” He smiles at the two toned spawn but the smile faded as the other spoke. No one had never been told a secret before. He did not know what to do with a secret. He lets out a gentle sight and nods, “Um what is a secret?” He asked but Espen was already telling him the secret.
Vali set the box down and looked at the older spawn. “I am not all pointed. I mean yes I am all metal…but most of me is smooth.” he held out his hand, “See nothing sharp here. And my hair is actually soft.” he said softly but looked down. “I am sorry I am scaring you. Shall I just stay away from you the rest of the party? I don’t want you to be afraid of me. I have never scared anyone before. I am sorry.” He nods, “I am glad you told me Epsen. I don’t want to scare you.” He nods and goes to open the door.

Pippin smiled at Europa, she was very nice and he certainly did enjoy it, though he wished she would cheer up. "Aww, thanks." he said with a grin.
Looking around he noticed Bleez and giggling at her slightly. Her dancing was silly, though he was sure he couldn't do better. Positive as a matter of fact. He then saw... Vali! Oh yes! His bestest friend, but he was talking to someone else, so he decided to wait. His mother always said that was good manners. He could wait though, as long as they could eventually talk he would be okay.

Espen winced, and his ears went pink. He hadn't said that he was afraid of Vali, so who was he to call him scared?
"I'm not scared," Espen hissed in an exasperated whisper as he went to help Vali out with the box, making sure to keep away from every inch of Vali's body "I'm a-ler-gic! 'Tmeans I get sick 'f I touch metal, an I'm not gonna show you 'cause you might get sick too, jus trust me. Also a secret is somethin you don't tell anybody 'cause it's none of their business kay?"
To play it safe, he decided that he'd take Vali up on his offer to avoid him for the rest of the party, not because he was afraid but so that Espen could cool off after having his pride hurt with that insult. He seemed to have other friends here that he could be with too, so Espen didn't have to feel too bad for neglecting him. Espen took a deep breath as he stepped out of the toy closet and hoped that Vali could keep a secret.
Once they were outside, he helped put the box down and flung it open to reveal a box full of costumes! Masks, dresses, hats, wigs, suits and other misc. bits of ugly clothing were piled in this box. Giggling, Espen pulled out a large oversized pink dress and threw it gently towards Bleez, hoping to cover her in it with its size and see her crawl out.
"A beauuutiful dancing dress for Bleez, the dancing queeny," he announced his face beaming. He then pulled out an oversized pair of black sunglasses, a long black hair wig and a leather jacket for himself, whose shoulders his wings stretched so that he almost looked like a quarterback.
"An I'm Mr. Cool!" he posed, and then started to dance and tried not to laugh at how silly he must look. "Come on an grab some stuff! I think I might have some dinosaur and tiger things in here too!" he reached in and pulled out an elegant handmade deer mask and a great big pair of polkadot shorts too, which he put on the floor for anyone to use.
"We can dance on the stage over there like we're on TV or somthin' too!" he suggested as the music track changed to something that sounded like Pop Goes the World.

Seeing what was dumped on the floor made Marii giddy as some of the masks looked to be like the ones that his mother made or had hanging around the house. He spotted the deer mask that Espen just put down and like it very much. Walking over on all fours to the pile of things and picked up the deer mask. Looked it over to see how to put it on and once he figured how to put it on he did.
Turning to Espen. "Yes you are very very cool!!" he said as he was still on all fours as he looked up to Espen with his tongue hanging out of his mouth that had started to glow a very light blue color.

Europa wiggled her toes, deeply considering joining in with the dress-up. She did love a good game of pretend, but there was no way she'd be dancing. She slid off of the couch and to the floor and crawled into the pile of costumes. Hmmm. She put a bit, fancy hat on her head (although it didn't sit properly for her horns) and tugged her way into a frilly dress. There! Now she was a lady from the 19th century when candy was cheap and boys weren't dumb.
"Pippin!" she called, and tossed toward him a plastic armor torso. And the nerdy, shy little boy could be a knight.

Bleez's vision of the others was blocked by... something big and pink. She pawed at it until she could hear Espen's muffled voice saying it was a dress, for her, because she was the dancing queen. Something for her? She wasn't sure how to respond to that... she always liked giving others things, getting stuff made her feel weird.
She crawled out of the dress, only to have it get stuck to one of the spikes on her tail. Tugging the dress off of her and straightening her plaid jumper, she saw people starting to dress up. "Oh," she thought, the dress wasn't for her to keep, but to borrow, to play pretend.
She smiled, and pulled the pink dress over her head, getting it stuck more than a few times on her horns. Once she managed to poke her head through the dress, the rest of it fell around her. It was massive compared to her and was barely hanging on he little shoulders.
Not really noticing how comical she must look, Bleez tried to walk to the box of stuff... only to fall on her face after one step. "Ow..." she sat up and rubbed her nose, a tear in one eye. "That 'urt a bit." She had stepped on the front of the dress, tripping over it. She rubbed her nose until the stinging went away.
