Jerome waited patently for her response as she continued to try and get warm. Something about her made his brain switch to Spartan mode, and when he saw her shivering, his thought process was to get her to safety. His ears flicked when she started speaking.
"Well, I'll come up there then." he said as he started trudging up the very hill he had just came down. It was no easy task, but his adrenaline had hit the roof while he was in this thought process, so he felt no strain really. It wasn't too long before he had scaled the hill and wasn't so much as breathing hard.
"Come on. It's getting late and your not suited for this enviornment" he said calmly, but sternly while offering a paw for her to take

It really wasn't long before Jerome's form appeared over the hill, she imagined by how his stance was still upright and strong he'd barely broke a sweat under that helmet. Looking up at him as her breath swirled in a steam around her muzzle, all she could see was her reflection in his golden visor. Nodding her head slowly, she placed her hand in his paw...feeling at ease to let him take command.
It was his profession, afterall.
"Can we come back...someday?" She asked, her voice much more mellow as she followed his lead. Perhaps then, she could muster the strength and courage to go down the hill.

He started walking through the forest, making sure that she stayed as close to him as possible. "Maybe. I don't know when, but we'll see" He said as he took out a pistol from his right hip and loaded it. He had heard her mention creatures in the forest, so he wasn't going to take any chances.
"Is there a fire place anywhere in the shop?" he asked without looking at her, but rather keeping a very vigilante eye out for anything suspicious

It was good enough for her as she did keep closely to his side, she was on the shorter side and thus she had to take two stride for every one of his. Peeking her head around his shoulder she noticed he'd taken his pistol out and immediately she grasped the arm she was holding tightly to her and quickened her pace to match.
"D..do you hear something?" Koyuki shot a glance out into the shadowy woods, not realizing he wanted to be prepared. "Im not sure..." The vixen said with hint of nervousness in her tone, seeing the shop in the near distance. "I know there is one in the kitchen but I tend to stay away from the commons room....there are blankets though, i've seen them in the hall closet for summer outdoor events in the yard and emergencies."

Jerome looked down at her for a moment. "Pistol is for preparation. I'd rather shoot something before it sees us" he said as he quickly darted his head to a sound, but found it to be nothing
"Well you'll need something to get warm." He said with a chuckle. He knew that they were getting close because he could smell the aroma of spices in the air

"That's logical... " Indeed, she didn't have a deathwish, infact she enjoyed living way too much to even think about it.
As the shop approached, the vixen nodded her head vigorously as the sun began to set and the chill of the evening atmosphere really set in. She could feel her muscles tremble a bit, her paws numb as the snow stuck to her fur. "The shop is always nice and warm, either way I will warm up." The luck of living in a shop where the stove was always on and heated for the customers.
Biting her lip gently, she looked to her paws before up at Jerome with a tired smile. "Thanks for today...I don't think i've ever had such a good time."

Jerome nodded and proceeded to trudge through the snow. Finally he could see the shop, and just in time too. The sun had set and he could hear the bitter wind raging on. He knew it would be a long night for him in his pod.
His ears twitched as he heard the words and right as they entered the shop, he shook the snow off and sheathed his weapon, rather disappointed that he couldn't fire one round. "No problem. I would have to say the same thing. Now you go get warm. I don't belong inside this shop, so I'll just venture back to my pod" he stated. He wasn't happy about going to his pod, but it's the only place that could actively recharge his suit, so he really had no choice.

Ah! Warmth...it was lovely as she wiped her paws on the mat and followed him into the commons area. The smile she'd once worn on her lips had faded, as her eyes dropped...He wasn't staying? It was rude of her to ask otherwise, so she didn't, and tried to hide the inner conflict of her professional manners and her selfish longing for company. She'd forgotten how nice it was, since she hadn't seen her mother for a few days.
Clearing her throat, Koyuki smiled up to Jerome the best she could, reluctantly letting go of his paw and the warmth that came with it and lowered her body in a bow. "Of course. Safe journey back to your... Pod, Jerome. Again... Arigatou. " She decided to let the japanese slide, and before taking her leave back up the stairs and down the hall to the room they'd been in before.
Shutting the door quietly behind her, the vixen grabbed her cozy winter robe from where she'd left it, sliding down to sit against one of the corners of the dark room as she cuddled into the coat for warmth. Despite how silly the large fuzzy white coat looked, it was a comfort that reminded her of her mother's twin tails that she often slept in as a kit. Leanding her head against the wall, the femme sighed and closed her eyes, relaxing and warming up from the afternoon's pleasant turn of events.

Jerome parted from his new friend in silence. He wasn't trying to be rude, it's just that he like many Spartans, sometimes lost their sense for words. Especially after a rescue mission.
He quickly padded through the shop and out into the now raging blizzard. He looked at the hill on which his pod was at and made a mad dash for it, which for him was a few leaps and bounds. He hopped into the one man pod and closed the latch and sealed it shut. As he sat in the seat, he heard his AI pester him, but he dismissed her. "Elysia. Set for Cryo sleep. If anyone comes within 20 feet of this pod, then wake me." He said as he pressed a few buttons and laid back in his chair.
While the pod slowly plumuted to freezing temperatures, and his suit took over to support his life signs, he slowly drifted off to sleep as his eyes froze shut.

[ooc| Sure thing. ;D Don't mind the foreshadowing...]
Koyuki had an uneasy night of sleep, plauged by disturbing dreams as she tossed and turned. One violent twitch sent her body sliding down the wall to hit her head on the ground as she immediately awoke. Groaning the vixen rubbed her head, her hair a mess as long black locks fell from their once tight bun. "Mnnn...too early..." She whined, but stood up as she was already behind schedual in her daily routine.
It was then that something catched her attention out of the corner of her eye. Turning to face the window, she could plainly see a dark...something staring at her from behind a mask as it perched on the planter outside the window. Terror struck her body as she did the only thing she could think of...
Grabbing the nearest object she could, which happened to be a chair she tossed it at the window with a frightened scream, using the distraction to flee from the room in breakneck speed and fly down the hall. She could hear the window smash and the thud the chair made as it landed outside, but immediately she shut herself into the closet, taking a moment to regain herself in the calming dark.
What. The. Hell! She thought, clutching her racing heart.

Jerome was peacefully in a deep coma like state. But his overreactive AI noted that a chair flew out the window and sounded the red alert, quickly thawing the Spartan from his slumber and snapping him forcefully into reality. The moment his conscious slipped in, his ears picked up the shrill sound of an alarm, and soon he was ejected from his pod. "OW!! OOFF!! UGH...DAMN IT ELYSIA!!!" He said as he picked himself up from the ground.
As he was trained, he quickly surveyed the land and immediatly his eyes caught the chair and the broken window at the shop. "What the hell?" he said as he drew his pistol and bolted down to the shop. He peered through the window to see if everything was ok, and noticed the room was empty. "Hello? Did this chair magically throw itself through the window? Hello?" He said as he pulled himself through the small space and looked around the room

Shaking her head violently side to side she tried to rid her mind of the night, of whatever that was watching her through the window. Could it have been her mind from the dreams? No...it couldn't have been...could an apparation of the mind last so long even when the chair had been thrown? Koyuki shook under her kimono, she was such a mess. Dischevelled and tired, her eyes barely able to keep open and here she was hallucinating?
She must have had too much Sake....that was it.
Resting her back against the wall of the hallway closet, she slid down to hug her knees; biting her lip in dismay.
"Okaasan....doko ni iru no..." [Mother...where are you?]
Although slight, her ears perked up to a voice, which seemed to be back in her room. She couldn't pick up the words, but when she moved her body to slide further back she'd knocked a broom over to earn a loud clack as it hit the floor.

For a while, Jerome just walked around the rather large and empty room. "What's the point of this room if there is nothing in it?" he said as he scratched on of his ears with the butt of his pistol.
Suddenly he heard a clatter from behind him and his ears perked up as he whipped around with gun aimed. it didn't take him long to realize that the sound came from the closet. Cautiously, he approached the sliding door closet. Before he opened it he turned on 2 little LED lights that were attached to his helmet. He opened the door and pointed the pistol at...Koyuki?

What's wrong with me...am I going crazy? Her heart pounded almost painfully against her chest, her breathing forgotten for a moment as she listened in silence. Had it heard? A small commotion sounded in the room untill the poor vixen nearly jumped a foot when the door slid open and there stood a dark figure with two blaring lights in her eyes. Wincing, she was about to surprise attack when a small shift of metal perked her ears.
"....Jerome...?" Turning her head she squinted through the lights...and sure enough that olive armor stood out like a sore thumb.
"Jerome!!" The vixen cried out, no hesitation as she flung herself at him and clutched him tightly. Her mind screamed at this near sinful act against the Geisha code, as well as her own personal boundaries...but she was scared, and Jerome was the closest thing she had to a friendly face. "Did you get it? That thing that was on the window ledge!? Did you see!?" She spoke against his armor, her words frantic.

Completely flabbergasted, the Spartan was far from prepared for when the female fox grabbed him and nearly hugged him to death. "See..what? I saw nothing!" he said as he sheathed his pistol and turned the lights off. He was very confused and was convinced now that he was still in Cryo.
