entervixen LanceCalvis KasaChan video games wake your brain up if you try to sleep too close to bedtime.
btw I think it was Summer Solstice, because for some reason I never heard that word before. The cool thing is I am coming for a visit to California in time for the Solstice.....that will be neat. It's not just Video Games that can wake your brain up. If you play them right before you go to bed. Any sort of activity can hinder your sleep process. As long as I am speaking of Video Games. Don't assume that you are Immune to negative side effects from certain color patterns. The manuals for the games will tell you. Negative side effects can come from certain color patterns. The truth is, no one is Immune to these negative side effects. It just requires the proper pattern. For me, it was the game Silent Hill. I experienced loss of balance and blurry vision for a short while during game play. I'd been gaming for two decades at that point. Not once had I ever run into any sort of pattern that triggered any negative side effects. Sometimes its color patterns, but that's not true for everybody. Some games make me nauseous (first person shooters are notorious for that with me) especially as technology has developed. Old school ones such as Doom and Doom 2 I can play, but most of what's on the 360? I can't touch. The exception to that is Bioshock. What's going on is for some reason the hyper realistic graphics in most FPS are difficult for me to process, which gives me a headache and makes me nauseous. It also seems to have something to do with the fact that, because I have an astigmatism, I have to wear glasses. Bioware's recent game Dragon Age: Origins makes me sick if I try to play while wearing glasses, while if I take my glasses off, I can play just fine. For some reason if I can't see too well and have to squint to read the text I can process it just fine. This however, is not true for a friend of mine who also has an astigmatism. Due to lack of health care and funds she can't afford glasses, and squinting to see things like video games and reading text affects her the way trying to play FPS games with my glasses on affects me. That's my two cents. I always find it interesting how different video games affect different people and why. I actually have the game Dragon Age Origins for the Xbox 360. It actually won best Rpg of 2009 and Best Pc game of the year. For me, I"m somewhat of an odd case. See, I had a sist removed from my head. When I was only six months old. So, that makes a part of my brain less effective than your average person. My other parts of my brain. Mainly those in the creative side of my brain. Are actually quite well developed. I used to wear glasses at one point myself. I'm still..whatever sight it is when objects close to you appear blurry.

You're far-sighted then. I'm also near-sighted, which means I can see things close up, but not far away. I can see why Dragon Age: Origins won that award, it is really a good game. I have actually seen the majority of it already (including the ending) because my bf beat it before I even picked up the controller. Normally I won't play RPGs after he beats them because then I already know everything. gonk But with Dragon Age: Origins you get to pick your own origin story and actually make your own choices, so it doesn't matter to me. Granted I doubt much will be different on my playthrough, but it still hasn't deterred me. biggrin

Question: There's someone in my life, to be honest, I don't really like him. Whenever he walks into the room I suddenly feel full of negative energy, I act horrible to my friends who I'm talking to online and I feel like I'm about to cry, and I have reasons, for being so nervous around him, I just don't want to talk about that :/ Does anyone know a spell or something that can makeme relax when he's around more? :S

I think you should ask your deity for strength or guidance, possibly through meditation. If you don't have a deity, just focus on your inner energy. if I come across a spell for this specific thing I will post it (unless someone else does first)

What is is exactly that affects you? Does he make you feel like you're not safe in some way? Is there something about him that just makes you mad? Does it seem like you just suck up all this negativity when you're only around him? Negativity can come in many forms, depending on the particular feeling(s) you get from him would depend on my advice.

Red is good for confidence (just be careful with it as it's a potent color with a lot of associations). Yellow can too, as well.

Anyone have/know of child protections spells? Also, is anyone willing to send good energy to her? She doesn't need it for any real reason, other than being much bolder than she probably should be. She climbed the stairs today while we weren't looking. sweatdrop

I'm sorry to day that I don't really do child protection type of stuff...I mainly focus on animals...and given that animals are children are two very different things I don't want to risk screwing up. I'll try and send some good energy over regardless, but I'm not sure how much it will help.
