Why does this girl look so familiar? Dais thought as he listened to Cam. Her words and his manner were a bit annoying. "Hmph." As the girl rambled on about being lost, Dais noticed another lady enter the same row. This one had long dark brown hair and looked older than the previous one.

Really, to get the girl quickly to the books she wanted, he could have just broken out his currently hidden wings and flown her over. However, the columns were narrow, and the elder librarian would most likely throw a fit.

It was too bad that the so called large innocent eyes would not emotionally effect Dais. It may have worked on others softer than him. "Well, that is why you may also ask at the reference desk." The bunned girl seemed less inept than she should be at libraries. "I'll show you then." He motioned to the brown haired girl. "Are you looking for the same type of books?"

"I haven't had the best experience with reference desks." she said to him. "So I thought I would save trouble." Cam's last experience had led to her being screamed at by an old lady and being called every name in the world.

She brightened up though when he hadn't shown any move to throw her out or scream at her. Even when he scolded her it wasn't out of anger, which she was glad about. "And also, do you have another book on dreams? I found one, but I need something I can carry." she said to Dais.

She did happen to notice though a furry creature skittering back and forth, and looked behind Dais. "Sir, I think you have an animal on the loose." she looked where it had been and looked around for it. "I can catch it for you if you so wish, to pay for my being loud." she said to him. Cam felt horrid that she had disrupted the man.

She watched with little interest as the two interacted. The man seeming to look highly displeased and the girl looked quite clueless. After he asked a question directed to her herself, her eyes widened a little and shifted left and right. She wasn't expecting anyone to noticed she was there. After regaining composure, she cleared her throat and smiled politely.

"No, I was simply wondering what the commotion was all about. I have other matters that literature does not involve. Thank you kindly though."

As the girl spoke up again, she seemed to have had trouble with recent searches. At least here in Mereth, she would not be disappointed in her findings, she was sure. talk about a creature in the library made her curious though. What creature was there? She had not seen anything. Aonair turned to look over her shoulder and again did not find it. She turned to look back at the man and girl with a confused expression but then began walking over to the next isle. Since that man seemed to be busy, she would search for someone who was not so caught up in business.

As Balon made his way towards Aduial, 2 people caught his eye. What he noticed Immediately was the white hair on one of them. You have got to be kidding me. He had never met the prencess of Aduial but he had heard about her.

'Other matters that literature does not involve.' Yes, now why would be in a library for that? It wasn't important anyway. Dais simply nodded and shifted his attention back to lost girl.

"Ah, yes, the books on dream should be about... " Dais paused for a moment. Animal on the loose? ".. the area over there." He directed her toward an aisle toward the left.

Aldon, is that you? Of course he didn't want the girl to capture the creature if it was Aldon. And for a second reason, if she was as klutzy in capturing animals as she was in libraries, the elder librarian was going to hag on him for that.

"No, it's quite alright," the assistant librarian said. "I'm the old librarian has it on the run." It was lame attempt at a joke. "But if you insist."

Now why had he said that?

Cam looked at the aisle and nodded. She giggled softly at him, feeling the mood lighten a bit. "Thank you!" she said quietly. She looked to the aisle to remember where it was, and then went to the right of that aisle.

She saw the scurrying again, but this time, she knelt down and looked. "The poor thing. He's tired." Cam said to Dais, even though she wasn't looking at him. She gently pulled some books away and held out her hand for the animal to sniff.

Cam loved animals of all sort, and loved to interact with them. This one seemed a bit nervous, but then again she was guessing. She knew that it would be better for the animal, specifically the ferret, to come to her.

It was a mystery where all the workers had went off to. She just wanted to ask a few simple questions involving the kingdom. She had been gone for three years. Aonair figured that the wise who knew the history and past would be here, but suppose she was wrong. The only thing she really worried about was running into her step-father.. Her gaze fell to the floor for a moment as she stopped in her tracks. Maybe she really shouldn't have come here to Mereth.. Her lifted her head up again and continued walking as if the thought never came into her mind. Soon she was finally able to stumble upon a short man in a long brown robe. He was skimming through a book with his little spectacles on. Aonair approached him with a friendly smile.

"Excuse me, sir? I was hoping you may answer some questions for me?"

"Hmm", she replied and looked up from his book. "What is it child?"

"Can you tell me what big events have happened in Mereth in the past three years?"

"Heavens no. Too much to say. You should go and check the history section in the here library."

"Well, can you at least tell me of the nobleman named, Fredrick Galleo?"

"What about him?"

"Is he still alive?"

"Alive and climbing up the ladder of success. Is that all?"

"Yes, thank you very much.."

So the old man was still alive.. That's not so pleasant. She could almost feel her heart sink at the mere thought of him bumping into her with another woman at his side. Possibly even another child that was actually his own. She left the kind librarian to his studies and roamed around the isles yet again, seeking for the history section. She was hoping someone could just inform her. Guess she had to read up on it after all.

It was Aldon. Dais followed after the girl quickly. Wonderful. At least the girl didn't tear the library apart. he thought when he saw the girl on the ground offering the ferret a hand.

The ferret's whiskers twitched, suspicious of this long haired girl who offered a strange smelling hand to him. Aldon sometimes served as Dais's eyes and ears and thus, was also suspicious of many people.... animals were generally suspicious of people anyways. However, Aldon also was a curious creature.

New person. Girl. Long hair. Oh, master friend behind girl. Safe? The ferret sniffed around and approached Cam's hand, sniffing the hand. Does she have sugar? I want food!
PostPosted: Sun Jan 10, 2010 5:07 pm

"Do you have food for him? Wait." she reached into her bag and brought out a graham cracker for the furry creature. "Here you go." she left the treat in her hand for him to pick it up, and maybe climb onto her arm.

"It's all I have little guy. It's food at least, and has some sweetness in it." she said to the ferret. Now, on a normal basis she would have felt silly doing this, but it didn't feel silly at all.

Cam smiled at the creature. "Is he yours?" she asked Dais. "What's his name? And your name too?" she asked.

Cam always wondered what a ferret looked like. Often, she had only read about them, and had seen them once in a pet shop, but she had never actually played with or dealt with a ferret. Cam did, however, seemed lucky to be able to deal easily with animals as she loved them so. "He has a nice coat of fur, healthy too. That's why I ask if he's yours." she explained.

Balon approached the 2 with his eyes locked on the girl with the snow-white hair. If she was the prencess of Aduial then it must be his lucky day. He adjusted his great sword as he approched.

"Who are you?" Amaya called to a man up ahead as she stopped, her hands moving to her twin scimitars.

“No one of great importance,” Balon replied. “Though if I’m not mistaken, you are the princess of Aduial.”

If Dais was surprised, he didn't show it. Aldon the ferret had sniffed the cracker, concluded that there was no poison, and munched down the cracker. Dais knew what was next.

"He's been around the library, and doesn't usually make much of a mess," Dais explained. "I'm Dais, you?"

...and Aldon did indeed climb up Cam's arm, but he didn't stop there. ...He ran up further onto Cam's head to nestle up in her hair. There was a danger of him unraveling one of the buns though..

The elderly head librarian already had a vendetta for the fuzzy critter for trying out his hair or lack of hair...

"Brilliant deduction." She muttered sarcastically. "Still, I would like to know your name, and who you are and what you want." She said.
