Yeah, thats kinda what I was talking about. I mean its cool, I myself would like to persue a career in music. Its more common in this guild because we are all passionate about choir. Its what we do. Otherwise we wouldnt be here talking about it.

I've always wanted to be a rock star, but when it came to playing insturments I was terrible.I was always told I had a good voice. So I decided to join in the 8th grade.I've took chior as I child so I had more singing experiance than the rest in the class and became one of the favorites of the teacher. But this past year I didn't enjoy it as much so I dropped out,but just for a year.I may pick it back up.I'm just having stage fright issues so I'm taking classes to get over that

Since fourth grade I loved singing. I don't know what got me so attached to it, I just loved it. Back then, it was mandatory to take a General Music class that put on at least one performance throughout the year. And I got a rush from being onstage and being the "center of attention." I still get that rush.

Anyway, choir history... Let's see.. I was in Gen. Music for fourth and fifth grade. Plus the Elem. school honor choir fifth and sixth grade. Sixth grade I couldn't sing in school because I joined band and you couldn't take both of them. It sucked.

7th and 8th I was in the select choirs at our junoir high. Plus, in eighth, I was in the JH Honor Choir. I didn't try out in seventh grade, I didn't think I could have made it. I regret thinking that now.. But whatever. Seventh, a women's choir. And eighth, and mixed.

Ninth and tenth grade.. I was in the select choirs again. Ninth, was a select mixed and tenth, a select women's choir. And next year, my junior year, I'm gonna be in the top select mixed group.

I just...love to sing. Plus, my mother sort of wanted me to join choir. My brother was in choir in his high school days. He had the same choir teacher as me and he graduated 15 years ago. He won a scholarship for singing. So, yeah, it was sort of required of me. I still love it though.

When I was eight, my whole family participated (what a word!) in some big christmas concero thing, with orchestra, childrens' and grownups' choruses, and my brother and I were in the childrens' chorus. A year later, the same. So we both decided we wanted to sing more often, and auditioned for a childrens' chorus near us. It had a big waiting list, though, and I would hav been on it for years, if there hadn't been an arrangement for boys (who were scarce), and for siblings. Yay! And I've been singing ever since. Right now I am with the same music association as both my parents and grandparents met in. eek Scary!

In 4th and 5th grade everybody was in choir, we just all came into the gym/cafeteria, and the director would do the little repeat after me style, and we learned music that wasy. I think she would give us the words only, not the actual music, sometimes. Needless to say, we sucked.

Then, for 6th grade, I had to choose if I wanted to be in 6th grade choir. It met before school. I did, and have been in choir ever since.

I love performing, no matter what it is. heart

I started out as a flutist (7th year starting next month!) but loved singing.
Then I got involved in (surprise!) musicals, so I did those and then my music teacher, although it was late in the 8th grade year, wanted me in jazz choir.
Then I did one year of regular choir and one year of jazz/advanced choir, which I am doing for my last 2 years of high school as well as musicals and show choir.
