Suicidesoldier#1 (( /cry. Most of you are here and I don't have the ability to start combat training yet gonk HOWEVER! You can head on down to the battleground and start making posts. As marines, you'll be the first engagement forces on the island and be treated as if you've completed marksmen training. ((okay, so we can post in there, as well as here, until the training is complete, bc i don't think you'll add our names as of yet, will you, since we haven't....))

However, your still a marine. For the time being, your just regularly trained grenadier, squad support, or specialist. You will be updated to marksmen when you complete training. Basically, you don't have access to the really cool weapons and gear you would normally. You also don't get the status of being 'specially trained'. Once you complete training here however, I expect you to have learned some things and, to have fully received your credit. )) ((A'ight. that's steller. I think I can handle that.))

Name: Adam Wong Rank: Private E-1 Location: Marksman Training camp Role: Rifleman Team: Alpha
Adam took an excited breath and quickly jogged over to the shooting range for 500 yards. The trouble was figuring out which position to fire from, kneeling, prone, or offhand. He decided to start off a little bit easier and fire from prone position. When he got comfortable he slammed a STANAG magazine into the lower reciever and pulled the charging lever back with a satisfying click. Maybe he shouldn't have jogged...His pulse was a little bit over average and that may affect his shooting. He remembered what his highschool MCJROTC instructor taught him, the anagram BRASS, Breathe, relax, aim, slack, and shoot. He scored 75% the last time he was in that class, maybe now he could do a little bit better this time around the bend. He took a deep breath and held it. He relaxed his trigger finger and lowered his eye to the cheek plate on the stock and found his proper eye relief, he slightly pulled the trigger back, and then he pulled it all the way back. The rifle fired with a satisfying crack and he hit 2 rings away from the center of the target's chest. He was lucky that this rifle was already sighted in.
(I think I'll stick around in BCT 'till I get the hang of forum RPs.)

You don't want some random recruit coming in here and stealing that title that you earned do you? Marksmen training has got to be hard! blaugh ))

Name: Adam Wong Rank: Private E-1 Location: Marksman Training camp Role: Rifleman Team: Alpha
Adam decided to try and qualify for marksmanship after his 'sight-in' rounds as he likes to call them. He decided it'd be a better idea if he used a full magazine instead of one with only 28 shots left. For some reason he always felt a little bit better when he was guaranteed a full clip at a shooting range back when he was a wee child. He still felt that way. He pulled the charging lever back after he put a fresh magazine into the mag well and he heard yet another satisfying click. But it was time to get down to business, if he was going to qualify he would have to take a little bit more time to take his shots. He looked through the lenses of his ACOG TA-11 and used the acronym of BRASS yet again to prepare his shot. "Visualize the red mist..." He whispered as he squeezed the trigger sending a 3 shot burst down the range as he had accidently set the rifle to fully automatic. He set the rifle to safe and reached into his tactical vest for a set of binoculars to see his "Kill". He had nicked the targets shoulder, one shot where the left eye of the man would be, and another shot where the right lung would be. Alot better than his usual shots, most of them were killing blows. Hopefully this would be enough to qualify. He sat up and waited for the instructor to come over.

While viewing Adam from over three hundred yards away, he awaited for the new recruits in order to begin combat training. " Very good job... I wonder how he'll preform in simunitions." He said to himself quietly, realizing the potential of the recruit.

Name: Alyssa "Hatter" McConley Rank: E-4 Team: Gamma Role: Assualt Squad
As Hatter waited for the others, she decided to go back to the range. She wanted to improve her aim and such before going into the simulation mission. She didn't want anyone she was with to get hurt, since she'd been told she'd be team captain. That meant she'd be the one calling the shots, and she'd be the one in charge of these men's lives. She saluted her supierior and walked back towards the range. She wanted to improve, and show she was good enough to keep her ranks, and be placed back on the front lines.

While Adam waited for the rest of his group he put his binoculars back into his vest pocket and he reached into an empty magazine pouch for a box of contraband venison jerky. He bit off a small piece and continued to chew it until it ran out of flavor. He then set his SCAR to the semi-auto function and aimed down the sights attempting to fire offhand. He lined up the aimpoint a little bit below the center of the target's chest. And squeezed off a single round and the target fell with a slight plinking sound. He heard somebody approaching the range. The distinct sound of gravel being crushed by boots wasn't hard to make out amongst the chaos of the range.
