Gracchia Saint-Justine As for the opening up: Not on my watch. After people posted in the CC it had to be closed, because the next thing we know, people are going to complain about the fact that they voted in a CC election and it wasn't counted because they weren't elected to the CC. If you want to know what's going on in the CC, I can give you a screencap of the page, or whatever, but until gaia gets the minor technical competency required to code a 'look, but no post' option... it is staying closed. For all your arguments, this has to be one of your weakest. You can solve the problem with bold letters saying, CC votes only. You can solve it by locking and temporarily;y unlocking all CC threads to post in them (seeing as all CC members are mods, it's easy done), you can solve it with numerous other weirder and more wonderful ways. Having said that, I do not think there is any conspiracy involved in the censorship, just that your reasoning is whacked.

Nokturnal Evisceration Gracchia Saint-Justine Nokturnal Evisceration Herobane Don't you see? Maybe if we're all CC members, then there'll be less bitching about the fact that the CC is TOTALLY CLOSED AND UNVIEWABLE >_> I have to agree with this guy, closing off the CC from others and giving positions to your close friends is something I look down upon. Wait... wut? "hey guys, you know how it said we were gonna appoint two commissars? Well, instead, we're asking you to vote for THREE!" This somehow = 'giving positions to close friends' ? That, and if you would get on Skype, you would see the discussions that go on about this stuff. As for the opening up: Not on my watch. After people posted in the CC it had to be closed, because the next thing we know, people are going to complain about the fact that they voted in a CC election and it wasn't counted because they weren't elected to the CC. Aah good thats much better, sorry for not noticing the change. As for the CC, Ive never seen it before and I would much like to know how decisions are made inside of so yes may I have a pic. Not much goes on in the CC, actually. Pretty much all it's there for--at the moment-- is to record votes. The actual discussion is on Skype, and is extremely public. Seriously, I recomend everyone get Skype and add gracchvs That way you will be in on way more discussions and s**t. Though it seems we mostly talk about sex, Seraph sucking, Curse's trolling, and the occasional argument between me and the stalinist of the week. AND the CC talks.

Skype's also a place where non-Marxist ideas are outright rejected, so beware!
Don't make the same mistake I do, in proposing ideas that are contrary to the socialist norm Gracchvs' idea of reality.

But you just automatically say everyone else is wrong instead of thinking that they may just have a good idea. OR that maybe there are more ways of understanding the universe than you put out.

Herobane But you just automatically say everyone else is wrong instead of thinking that they may just have a good idea. OR that maybe there are more ways of understanding the universe than you put out. Well, when you show that your way of understanding the universe brings results like Marx's Das Kapital and the long history of accurate predictions by Marxists about social and economic development... When you can match that, then I'll listen to your views as 'equal.'

You've read Marx, and that's good. And you agree with it. That's also good. But Marx isn't the only interpretation of the world. THere are other views too. Some of which have just as much validity as Marx, and even more so in some areas.

I'd be honored to fill in for the time being, and it would most definitely prompt me to be more active and post more often.
I'm always lurking, I just never have the confidencetime to put into a well thought out post. I'd love to become more active, though.

I can attest to the fact that pretty much everything seems to be out in the open on skype. If you aren't there, you need to be. It has a healthy dose of education with all the healthy doses of arguments and random information.
And Gracch, I think your list of what we talk about is not complete enough. No World War II cats, no gaming, no mention of feminism or even the miserable weather. And food! You aren't a very good spokesperson for the skype talk razz
