Of course the kissing made him stop, but it only started a round of kissing instead. The movie was postponed for a good few minutes, but how could he mind? He had a beautiful girl all to himself in his own apartment. This never happened.
But eventually he did have to pull away, more to save himself than anything. They were holding each other and practically entangled.
"Ah... you're beautiful when you smile, you know that?" he whispered to her.

She was breathless and holding his face in her hands as she looked up at him blushing terribly, though she closed her eyes, smiling widely, and shaking her head, muttering some kind of objection.
He just had this over powering way of making her speechless. All she could manage to form was the simple phrase. "You're amazing..." While still barely audible.

"I thank you." He landed one more kiss on her lips before easing into a cuddle. Again he asked himself just how in the world this had all managed to happen, and if he really was as wonderful as she made him out to be, but it didn't seem to matter whether or not he got an answer to any of that. It was the moment, and it was all he had.
"So about that movie," he said, laughing. "Did you decide on anything, or did we just skip to the love scene?"

She laughed a little, snuggling into him. "I think we skipped it...and strangely I'm ok with that..." She smiled sweetly into his eyes, reaching up to push a little of his long hair from his eyes.
"You're a strange man Alex..." She said out of nowhere. "I dont mean that in a bad way... You're just different from...anyone I've ever met...." Her voice was soft, sweet and genuine as she just studied his features, gentle tracing out the contours of his face with her fingertips.

"And you're a weird woman. Rather have someone out of the ordinary than all the others who I come across..."
He closed his eyes to concentrate on her touch. It was soft, and careful. Regret flared up in him for grabbing her and being rough before, even if she had been laughing her head off. But with another little touch on his cheek, it cooled down into nothing at all.
"As for me, I guess it helps having purple eyes. Most people remember me that way."

She seemed to laugh to herself with a sigh. "Its not even that..." She leaned in and kissed his closed eyelids before running her nose along the side of his, letting her lips hover above his. "Its just your manner... Your air and presence... The way you speak... You're touch..." She touched his cheek for emphasis.
"Every little thing about you is just... so wonderfully different and ..." She lost her breath for a moment being so close, simply letting the thought hang. He was simply him and that in itself was a marvelous thing in her eyes...

Alex opened his eyes. The original plan of behaving didn't seem like it was going to work after all. He caught her lips and kissed her with a bit more fervor than before, held her a bit closer. He was a romantic devil at heart when properly motivated, despite his gentleman manners most of the time. And Jess was so beautiful to him, so how could he not be tempted?
But of course she could say no. He couldn't force anything, Alex knew that much. Not after what she had just told him.

Jess was surprised by the sudden upsweep of emotion though didnt pull back. At first she simply let him pull her and kiss her before her own feelings began making her returned kisses heated and her hands wander.
She managed to pull his shirt up, and off, whispering something about how crazy she was for him, letting him do what he want.

There were more fervent kisses as things carried on. But Alex, still concerned about her and where this might take them, had to ask her, "Are you sure?"
It was true that he cared about her. He did, honestly and truly, but he also knew he didn't quite love her, either. The only thing he could say was how he loved her clothes heaped on the floor next to them. But he knew what he wanted, and as they lay on his couch in the heat of the moment, he needed to hear her say yes.
This wasn't like the college parties, he told himself. This wasn't anything like that...

Her big blue eyes were slightly timid though very trusting as she looked up at him, "Y-yes I'm sure..." she muttered, kissing him a few more times, starting to make the next move of removing her own under garments.
Though just as they thought they were going to make it to this intimate step, A strange but loud ring tone broke the moment. Any other sound, any other distraction, any other ring tone and Jess would have ignored it and had at Alex. But not that one...
"s**t!" She cursed under her breath, her eyes watering from frustration as she grimaced. "Its my father...." She whispered, Looking up at him guilty.
"I'm so so sorry....I need to take that..." She panted, feeling utterly torn up inside, closing her eyes and pressing her head against his, hating herself at that moment.

"It's the equivalent of him walking in on us... Dammit." Defeated, Alex fell back, and began the short process of putting his clothes back on. She'd probably leave, and now things would be awkward. He'd ruined everything, just because he couldn't control himself.
What Jess didn't know about Alex was that he would guilt trip himself into believing something was his fault even if it wasn't. Even if nothing had happened, he would create in his mind the idea that someone was feeling something, and that it had everything to do with him.
It didn't happen all that often, but when it did, Alex was like a beaten puppy on the inside.

Her face grew panicked slightly as she tried to catch her breath, smoothing out her hair as if that would make things any better. She Dug through the pile of clothes on the floor, not even hesitating despite being in nothing but a cute pair of blue and black plaid casual yet sexy undies, and a black bra.
She finally found her phone, took a deep breath and answered it, smiling as she concentrated on sounding chipper. "Hi daddy." She spoke in a slightly higher pitch voice as if hoping to sweeten him up.
There was a short silence, and the sound of an annoyed voice on the other end of the phone. "Oh. I- Um...I forgot... I was so engrossed in studying for exams in the library and-" She was cut off, her face becoming red and eyes wide. "What?! How'd you even know- ...Oh. S-she did?" She furrowed her brow. Apparently Her father had run into Kitty at the charity ball and she had casually mentioned Jess had a new man in her life. It infuriated her that her father knew, and expected the worst, even tho she did sit in that mans appartment in her underwear. She wasn't mad at Kitty though. Her friend didnt know what she'd done in telling him.
"What?! No! Its not like that! I've-..." She sighed. "No Dad I just-..." She glanced at Alex looking utterly defeated and guilty. "I just met him...." She grimaced and gave him an 'i'm sorry' look.
"So He's not the reason I've not been going. Trust me." Another silence as her face grew stern. She swallowed hard.
"....No. I'm not....I've been running errands and I've got more to do...When I finish I'll come home." A gruff sounding demand was made. "I'm 22 years old father, I'll make my own damned decisions thank you very much." She scowled, her face becoming red. There was an awkward silence, a stiff goodbye on the other end, Then nothing.
Jess hung up abruptly, stared at the ground for a moment, still seething. In one violent movement, she chucked her phone away form herself bitterly, looking away as it clattered loudly across the floor.
She took a moment to catch her breath before rubbing her face tiredly. "I- I'm so sorry Alex...." She muttered under her breath, numbly reaching for her clothes. "You must think I'm an awful mess...." her eyes looked hurt and clouded as her hands shakily picked up her blouse, only to drop it once or twice.

"Well, I think you're absolutely gorgeous, but the second thought was something along those lines. Kinda like my room..."
Alex stood up and began to help her get her clothes back on. If she needed to go, she needed to go, whether that was because of him or not.
"A real mess, but everything's still organized and you know where most things are anyhow..."
Just like him. Just like her, and all these get togethers they'd been having.

She smiled solemnly but greatfully up at him, though managed to slip on her own clothes just fine, her cheeksa little red still. "Things...are just crazy right now..." She murmured as she slipped on the shell over her tank top, and buttoned her jeans.
"I've been an idiot thinking I can jsut escape all this with no consequences..." She looked down at the floor a moment before meeting his eyes with a smile. "...Thank you for being my escape though..." She said softly and genuinely.
She was silent a moment, furrowing her brow. "I-...I dont want to go..." She looked up at him, wishing he could somehow make it all ok and she could stay.

"I don't want you to go, either, but you'll get in trouble if you don't." It was strange how much her parents still had so much power over her, but he wasn't going to judge. She was lucky to have them both.
Alex took her face in his hands and kissed her sweetly before letting her go. It was fun while it lasted.
"You can come here any time, Jess. Just call."
