Gemstone Voyager is the same three stories over and over and over and ~shoots self to make it stop~ Hologram Rights, Temporal Displacement redundancy, strange alien whom they befriend who turns out to all along have been the bad guy. Rinse, repeat, and then flush to put it out of my misery. There is only one real character. Harry Kim. The poor b*****d. Okay - if you're going to be THAT harsh on the series as a whole, you can't even say that Harry Kim was a real character! Seriously!!! SOOOOooooo much the empty shell! xp (I personally liked TNG, DS9 & VOY. They all had their flaws, but I enjoyed *and still enjoy* them all)~~ Also - two minor corrections. razz Gemstone We also aren't going to talk about Enterprise. THERE IS NO ENTERPRISE and there isn't a Captain Archer! no matter how much he entertained us in Quantum Leap. burning_eyes (Also - I will admit, the one good thing to come out of that non-exsistant series, is that they gave an explination for the vast change of the Klingons between Star Trek TOS, and Next Generations.)

Gemstone Kasey there's only about 52(?) episodes of the original Star Trek (I know I can Wiki or IMDB it but I'm tired and I dun wanna) so it won't take you long to see it all if you decide to. smile It's also hella cheaper to buy than the others, as it was only 3 seasons. TNG and DS9 both taunt me with their 7 seasons of goodness... costing a whopping $45 a season each. ~shakes fist angrily~ Dude - we need to visit sometime! I've got (and have had my entire life) access to the Original Series, on VHS. cool All of it. (as far as I know, anyways)

rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl If she has TNG and DS9 I might just need to take up one of those religions that allow you to have multiple spouses, and compete with you for her and her dowry of sci fi.

Gemstone Wow okay where to start! Emma when I get a new computer that ACTUALLY RUNS Sims 2 without lagging like a **** even though all I have installed is the original game even though I have all the expansions and have never gotten to try them for fear of making it lag even more which isn't probably possible because then it would have to actually be playing in reverse... wait I've gone off topic... oh right, when I can actually play the game can you send me the link(s) for where to safely download these Sims mods? Pwease? biggrin Facebook, the only app I really actually play is My Fairyland, because it saves actual rainforest and is frigging cute! Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility is love. WoW, I have played a tidbit on my friend's account from before she quit. It was fun enough but after that time years ago when I nearly became fully addicted to EverCrack I decided not to play. Also I am opposed to paying regularly to play a game I already purchased. I miss my Half Elf Enchantress ;____; Also, hubby and I LAN party Diablo II because it is free and involves lovely smashey smashey and did I mention it's free? Also there is no LFG all the time and I can still cast magic. ~hurrs~ Also, I love this so much: http://sharkrobot.com/images/shirt_ninjabot_magikarp.jpg Omg you have all the expansions? *jealous* I just got Apartment Life for xmas, and I have nightlife + university. I'm still exploring the things for apartment life, like witches and their abilities, and the cool reputation thing. Hmmm, I think the best site for it would be mod the sims 2, which I don't have the link off by hand but there are seriously some talented people there creating custom stuff. Plus it gets regularly updated. I tried to find other Sims2 sites, but seriously only like...the Chinese sites and German sites still update. razz Take this gem for example! (so I got unlazy with the linkage, lol). Some downloads can be a bit complicated to get because they require a ton of meshes or whatnot, but all things are linked (or dang well should be!) from the original posting so it's easy to find. You just need to keep them all in a certain folder in the Sims 2 s**t, lol.

Isabelle Omg you have all the expansions? *jealous*
Yes! I just haven't installed them as my computer only just BARELY runs the basic game. I can make you a copy of my expansions if you like? We really do need to meet up some time in Van, do you like sushi?

Is the ModtheSims2 site safe? What program do you have to use to download? What's a mesh? Do they come with instructions as to what specific folder the files need to go in to make them install? Thanks for the link! biggrin

Thanks for the link! biggrin I heart sushi! Will and I go probably too much on our crappy budget, but luckily it's not that expensive most of the time. xd Jeez, in Kitimat a frigging salmon/tuna maki roll is like 8 bucks whereas here it's 2! That'd be sooo awesome if possible <3 It's pretty much like an opensource thing for people to share what they make, so there's comments from users about the quality of the items and from what I've gotten from that site, everything has been safe. The site also provides warnings on downloads when the user hasn't logged in a long time (say over 2 years or whatever) since the quality could be bad or the file could be missing. Meshes are like a base that allows a creator to edit over it or something. I'm not a 100% on it, but for a lot of downloades, you need it otherwise it won't show up properly or at in all in a game. Clothing is what meshes are used most commonly for. So you'd have like a mesh that lets your sims' outfit be just underwear, one leg, certain boots, etc then people colour over it or whatever. For programs to download things, there's sims2 pack clean installer (I prefer this one because sometimes the other one doesn't always install it right but this one does), and the Sims 2 body shop package installer. For folders, when you've got the Sims 2 basic installed it would have made an EA games folder in your documents. Mine goes: Documents>EA Games>The Sims 2>Downloads. Then you have to put all unzipped/installed downloads in there. Also you need to check what EP the download is for before getting it because people will use items that come from certain EPs or item packages so it might not work out if you don't have item packs or whatever (Ikea & HM stuff for example). On the page it'll be clearly laid out what is needed. :3 That's why mod the sims 2 is the best, IMO, lol. There's also a good read me on how to download too :3 ....Yeah that's long, lol.

OMG we are going to a place I know of (and can get to by transit so we can meet you) where All You Can Eat lunch is $10.95. It is FECKING DELICIOUS and so so cheap yesssssssss. I always end up with at least $30 worth of food it's the only way to really get my sushi fill. biggrin
It'll have to be after the Olympics though, I'm not setting foot on that side of the Mainland until that stuff is over and done. sweatdrop
Actually, since Julia is coming back here for a wedding she's going to (I'm pretty sure she said?) maybe we could ALL meet up? biggrin Amanda? Kasey?

Sure, I'd be up for a get together somewhere down the line, if I can make it. And Amanda.. catch a lift to Prince Rupert, hop a ferry? Still a long trip, but probably more manageable than the road trip, and less expensive than the plane.
